Naruto Returns From the Genshin Impact World

Chapter 259: Chapter 259: Your Father is Gone.

Obito looked at the ashes before him, sighed softly, and was about to turn away. But just as he was about to leave, he noticed a black substance forming within the ashes.

What was that?

Was it Black Zetsu? Or the aftermath of an attack?

Could that guy not die just like Hidan?

Right, that guy was the embodiment of Madara's will left in this world (as he understood it). His existence was quite special, so having the ability to revive wasn't surprising. Therefore, he should be the one to test out dangerous things in the future.

"Obito, what just happened?"

The newly formed Black Zetsu asked coldly.

"I just did as you said, gave it a try, and it might have been sensed by the other side, so they released a powerful Ninjutsu over there," Obito explained.

He wasn't panicking at all because he had been tricked by Black Zetsu into using Kamui. He had used it, but only directed it at Black Zetsu.

"Why did you use it on me?"

Black Zetsu questioned.

"Why did you tell me to use it?"

Obito asked back with a scornful laugh.

"....."

Aware of his own guilt and with more pressing matters at hand, Black Zetsu deftly changed the subject. "I have a powerful technique that, once mastered, can turn the tide of our current situation."

"Why didn't you teach me before?"

"..."

Because I didn't know it before either.

But of course, he couldn't say that. Clearing his throat, Black Zetsu said, "This technique is too dangerous, and it also desecrates the souls of the dead. So... unless it's absolutely necessary, I wouldn't teach it to you."

"You care about that?"

Obito's smile grew more scornful. From what he knew, Black Zetsu was far from noble, and desecrating the souls of the dead wouldn't bother him. So that couldn't be the real reason. He was more inclined to believe that Black Zetsu didn't want to lose control over him by teaching him the technique, but the current situation was too explosive, so he had no choice.

"Of course, I'm very ethical."

Black Zetsu shamelessly continued, "You should be familiar with this technique. It's the Second Hokage's Edo Tensei. However, the Edo Tensei I'll teach you is different from the Second Hokage's. You don't need a medium from the dead; you can directly resurrect them from the Pure Land and summon a host of strong fighters."

He was in a hurry and didn't want to explain further because Rikudou Sennin had told him that Naruto and Sasuke were currently in a fierce battle. This was a rare opportunity, and it would be difficult to find such a chance again.

So he had to seize it and quickly get Obito to use Edo Tensei, then counterattack Konohagakure.

"What's the price?"

Obito asked in a deep voice.

He didn't believe such a powerful technique came without a cost. If anyone could learn and use it, the entire ninja world would be in chaos.

"The price is the consent of the Pure Land's controller. My soul on the other side has already paid the price, so it can directly draw the souls from there," Black Zetsu explained.

"Oh, is that so? I'll give it a try."

Obito was skeptical, but his heart still bore Madara's restrictions, which he couldn't break himself. So even if he knew there might be a trap, he had to step into it.

On the battlefield of Konohagakure.

Huh, why do I feel like someone has opened the other side of Kamui again? Opening it at such a critical moment, they must be quite surprised, right?

Kakashi thought to himself.

The strength of the attack he had shifted was evident from Sasuke's expression. The guy usually loved to act cool, but an attack that scared him into forgetting to act aloof and defend with all his might was no small feat. Moreover, this attack was a super-concentrated one, and the enemy hit by it would likely be reduced to ashes on the spot.

Is he... still alive?

"Well done!"

Sasuke let out a slight sigh of relief, but his tone felt a bit off, as if he was mocking, yet not quite mocking.

Because he did it on purpose.

Although he was grateful to Kakashi for blocking the attack with Kamui, he was unhappy that Kakashi had been hiding and not daring to come out earlier. So his tone was somewhat sarcastic, but he could also see that Kakashi had his concerns, so it was just a bit of a temper tantrum.

"The attack just now was too intense. I can't shift attacks of that magnitude continuously in a short time. Be careful," Kakashi said seriously.

He said this, but in reality, it was just a bluff for those unfamiliar with him.

Kamui is a space-time dōjutsu, and its use depends on the size and duration of the release, not on the energy intensity of the absorbed attack itself, because it's responsible for spatial transfer, not absorption and digestion.

Sasuke, playing along, changed his expression and then barked, "Then what can you do!"

Kakashi was silent.

"If it's useless, then just throw it away."

Urashiki's voice suddenly appeared behind Kakashi, his hand pressing on his head as red flames rapidly gathered. He spoke with a faint smile, "You said it yourself, didn't you? That technique can't be used consecutively."

"Flame of the Blue Arrow."

"Kamui!"

Kakashi's heart skipped a beat as he activated Kamui in an instant. A black space swirl appeared just in front of Urashiki's fingertip, perfectly blocking the red flames.

"Sorry, I was lying to you just now," Kakashi said with a grave tone.

"Sorry, I was lying to you too," Urashiki snapped his fingers, and the flames on his hand vanished as if they had never appeared. He tilted his head slightly, continuing to smile, "I can't really use that level of attack consecutively. It's too difficult for me, really, you have to believe me."

Urashiki swiftly kicked, turning around to send Kakashi, who was internally cursing, flying away, then quickly left without any hesitation.

Kakashi : (&^*T#@($G

"Boom!"

A powerful thunderous slash came down—it was Sasuke. He wouldn't miss any opportunity, even the slightest chance of attack had to be tried, because without trying, there would be no possibility of victory.

Naruto, back in mid-air, frowned slightly. He had suddenly felt something was off but couldn't pinpoint what it was. That strange feeling made him very uncomfortable.

"Your dad is gone," the Nine-Tails said kindly inside Naruto.

"What?"

Naruto looked carefully and realized that indeed, his father was gone. The fluctuation that had disappeared seemed to be the source of his discomfort.

Why did he disappear?

Theoretically, Namikaze Minato's existence was a soul made of chakra, but its structure was similar to a shadow clone. His real body was still inside the Reaper. If something happened to the real body, it wasn't impossible for the clone to be affected.

But who would attack the Reaper? Who had the power to do so?

Orochimaru?

He wouldn't do such a thing; he wasn't a low-intelligence player like Danzo.
