Chapter 864: Chapter 864 The Captured Revis

'What… what kind of technique is this? There's no visible trace of the attack, and yet he just dismantled her hands. Then, with a single word, he made her kneel, unable to rise. His power must be on par with the strongest of Level 5!'

Lefiya and Lulune were both stunned. Lefiya, though usually a powerful magician, needed time to chant her spells, which had led to her swift defeat earlier.

Revis herself was in shock, unable to comprehend how she had been so utterly subdued. "What have you done to me? What kind of power is this?" She demanded, her voice a mix of fear and anger. She tried to stand, pouring all her strength into her legs, but it was useless.

This wasn't a simple physical force, this was something far beyond. It was the power of rules, the manifestation of authority. Asahi's words held the weight of the world's laws themselves.

To defy them, one would need to surpass the world's very structure, and Revis, no matter how strong, was not such a being.

Even as her body remained intact, her strength uselessly coursing through her, she couldn't stand. It was as if an invisible force held her in place. No amount of power could break free from the force of Asahi's authority.

Just then, Finn and the others arrived. Seeing Revis kneeling and Lefiya safe but shaken, they quickly tried to assess the situation. "Lefiya, are you alright? Mr. Asahi? What's going on here? And what about this one?"

Finn's expression showed his confusion as he noticed Revis, kneeling in submission, while Lefiya hurriedly went to their side.

"Captain, you are here, the thing is like this..."

Refiya quickly told others about her experience. When a Level 5 or even Level 6 magician met a Level 4 melee adventurer, they would still be defeated.

"Don't worry, Captain. Thanks to Mr. Asahi, I'm alright. But this person... it's terrifying."

The others breathed a sigh of relief hearing that Lefiya was safe. But their attention quickly turned to Revis, whose severed hands were visibly regenerating.

This was no ordinary human healing speed, and this was something more akin to the rapid recovery of dungeon monsters.

Seeing that only confirmed how unnatural Revis had become, her abilities far beyond a normal adventurer.

"How is she healing so quickly?" Tiona questioned, watching as Revis' injuries mended. It didn't seem like the result of a potion, rather, it appeared closer to the self-regeneration capabilities of monsters they had encountered in the dungeon.

"I'm not interested in dealing with her," Asahi replied casually, "You all can figure it out yourselves. But don't get too complacent, as there are still plenty of enemies lurking around here!"

As soon as Asahi finished speaking, the ground began to tremble. From beneath the earth, several plant-like monsters erupted, similar to those seen during the Monster Festival. Chaos ensued as the adventurers quickly realized that they were being surrounded.

In that moment, a sphere in Lulune's bag suddenly shot into the air. Its speed was so fast that Lulune couldn't react in time. The sphere opened, revealing what appeared to be a small, plant-like infant. The creature's eyes opened and immediately merged with one of the nearby plant monsters.

However, the fusion was incomplete, as it was not yet fully developed. This monster required immense power to reach its final form, something akin to a super-magician from the fifty-ninth floor in the original work. The monster's growth was limited, but it was clear that it had the potential to become far more dangerous if left unchecked.

The magic that guy wielded was terrifying, far beyond anything Lefiya or Lulune could comprehend. Even compared to the legendary mage Riveria, that guy's chanting speed and the sheer potency of her spells were astonishing.

However, that was in the past. Riveria had since grown significantly stronger, with faster incantations and magic far more powerful than before.

"It fused with another monster, but it seems incomplete. Quickly, take it down!"

Finn commanded as he drew his weapon. In a flash, he darted towards the monster. Before the creature even had time to react, Finn had already cut it down, swiftly eliminating the surrounding plant monsters as well.

This left Revis even more shaken. These monsters were incredibly powerful in her mind, creatures that even the Loki Familia should have struggled to defeat.

And yet, Finn, alone, had wiped them out with ease. She had thought that by drawing power from the Dungeon, she had grown strong enough to match or surpass them. But now, she realized how utterly mistaken she had been. The real clown had been her all along.

She had only been able to bully magicians like Lefiya when they were isolated, but with allies, magicians like her could have easily taken Revis down. Now, with all the monsters cleared and no more tricks up her sleeve, Revis was out of options.

Finn turned to his allies and declared, "This one might have information on what's been going on. Let's take her back to the Familia for questioning!"

However, when Finn tried to apprehend Revis, he quickly realized something was wrong. Revis was rooted to the ground, unable to be moved.

"Ah, I forgot," Asahi interjected. "You can move her now. She can't do anything except speak. There's no need to worry about her escaping."

With a gesture from Asahi, he partially lifted the control on Revis. She could no longer kneel, but her body was still frozen, unable to flee. This was the power of rules, it is binding and absolute. Even in the Dungeon, Revis could not defy Asahi's authority.

Though the other lurking threats in the Dungeon would soon make their presence known, Revis was no longer part of their immediate concerns. She had been caught, and even though she would be interrogated, it was doubtful they'd get much useful information out of her. She was too hardened, too loyal to whatever mysterious force was guiding her.

Revis, now barely more than a monster herself, didn't need to eat or drink. She was a perfect prisoner, easily contained, yet still dangerous. Her behavior changed abruptly when she saw Ais, though.

Upon spotting her, Revis began to frantically call out for 'Aria', over and over. It was clear her mind had become fixated on something or someone, and her mental state seemed as broken as the rest of her existence.

"This lot really is strange," Finn muttered, watching Revis's obsessive cries. "It's like they're all a bit unhinged."

One thing was clear: despite capturing Revis, the mysteries surrounding the Dungeon and its strange new forces were far from solved.
