[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]

Third Person POV

Land of Fire, Year 39.

"Incredible..." Kushina murmured, looking at Minato with slightly shocked eyes. "You infiltrating the village of Suna in search of the poison to save Tsuna..."

Kushina couldn't help but feel a bit envious of that. Minato sacrificed himself to save his companion, to the point of absorbing the poison into his own body.

"I had no choice, with Sensei forbidding me from doing something like that on my own. So, I threw myself into a mission because I didn't want to risk anyone else. I knew I had a better chance on my own. You know they would never have allowed me to do this alone..." Minato explained.

"I understand... because you're always saving some woman..." she murmured, looking at him with her chin resting on her knees as she glanced at Minato.

Minato just smiled at her and saw that their food was ready now. "Let's eat, it's ready," he said as he began to serve the beef stew he had made right in front of their tent. Some passing ninjas glanced at them oddly, as it was unusual for someone to cook their own meal in the middle of a camp with marked territory.

"Finally, dattebane!!" Kushina exclaimed excitedly as she grabbed the bowl Minato offered.

"Eat... you'll have to help me improve it," Minato said.

"You don't even have to say... HMMMMMMM!" she replied, quickly devouring the bowl with a renewed mood, happy to once again share this experience with her old companion.

Minato took his share and began eating as well, while watching the activity around the camp with a serene look.

"You're quite famous now..." Kushina commented after eating another spoonful of broth, noticing the people glancing their way.

"I'm not used to it," Minato said sincerely. "That's why I returned to the field with Mikoto and Hanabi, so I wouldn't have to stay in the camps as much," he added calmly.

"I heard things are improving in the south against Suna, you made a big impact on the war," she said, then pouted. "That was to save another girl..."

"I saved her, yes, and I wouldn't hesitate to do the same for you if you were in Tsuna's place," Minato said, thinking that Kushina seemed a bit jealous about it.

"Really?" she murmured softly, returning to her meal.

"Anyway, you have to tell me about things in Konoha," Minato requested. "Are you still visiting the orphanage? How's Guy and his mother? Your training?" he asked.

Kushina nodded and began to talk about her routine in Konoha while Minato listened attentively.

"Really, has he already made Kakashi his rival?!" Minato asked out loud, laughing.

"Yes... do you know him?" Kushina asked, unaware of who Kakashi was.

"Yes... the commander of this camp is his father, his name is Kakashi Hatake," Minato said with a smile. "They'll be great rivals then," he added, looking toward the future.

"You're always so aware of things..." Kushina murmured.

"Of course, and I'm happy that Madame Gorete is doing well with the children at the orphanage... I still can't send money, but as soon as we return to Konoha, I plan to visit. You should come with me," Minato suggested.

"Yes... I'll bake a cake for them!" she said, knowing the children loved her sweets made at the Senju Clan.

"That's great... speaking of clans..." Minato commented, taking Kushina's empty bowl as soon as she finished and refilling it. "I'm going to speak with the Third Hokage... to finally buy a property. I've made a lot of money during the war, so I believe now I'll have enough," he said, leaving Kushina surprised.

"But that's wonderful, Minato... you're finally going to buy your house..." she said, and Minato couldn't agree more.

"And how will it be?" Kushina asked, curious.

"I'm not sure yet. Maybe you could help me with that," he mused, causing her to blush a little.

"Of course, of course, I'll help..." she said.

"I have some plans, but we'll look at that later. Anyway, one thing I want in the house is a set of statues I'm planning to place," Minato said.

"Statues?" she asked, curious.

"Yes... I plan to recreate a story I read a long time ago... about a woman who came from space and had two children with a man from this world..." Minato said, always keeping that in mind.

"What's that story?" she asked, not understanding, while Minato only smiled. "You'll see, and you'll like it," he said mysteriously, and Kushina didn't ask anything else despite her curiosity.

After all, Minato wanted to bring that story to life, a story that was probably destroyed by Black Zetsu. He was determined to reveal the true history of chakra, something he had always desired because people had the right to know the truth.

"It's good. Anyway, the place will be spacious enough for us," Minato commented as he handed her another bowl of broth.

"You mean..." she murmured, stopping as she carefully looked at him.

"Why not? After all, I want to marry you," Minato said with a confident smile.

"So... are you proposing to me...?" Kushina murmured weakly.

"Of course, that's why I want to ask you to marry me right now," he said, as Kushina stood there, frozen, before placing the bowl Minato gave her aside. Her gaze fell on Minato without saying a word.

"Well... I guess this is sudden..." Minato scratched his head, but he didn't have much time to think before Kushina jumped on him, hugging him tightly, causing him to drop his own bowl of broth on the ground.

"Of course it's sudden, dattebane!" Kushina exclaimed, overwhelmed with embarrassment. "But I accept, I'll always accept... I'm so happy..." she said, hugging him tightly, even forgetting about Minato's food.

Minato returned the hug while they stayed like that for a while, savoring the warmth of each other. "You're my fiancée now..." he said as Kushina pulled away from him at that moment, smiling as she looked at him.

"I'd kiss you, but I'm afraid you'll think I have bad breath after eating..." she murmured shyly, but Minato pulled her close, giving her a quick kiss.

"It's all right, but I need to talk to you about something..." Minato said, as Kushina moved back slightly, looking at him a bit suspiciously. After all, it seemed like Minato had something else on his mind.

"What is it?" she murmured, staring at him the entire time.

Minato sighed and began to tell her about his current relationship with Tsuna.

"Minato, you idiot, dattebane! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot!" A moment later, Kushina stormed off toward the tent, calling Minato an idiot, while he just stood there, sighing. He had already anticipated that she would react like this. It was selfish of him to want to marry two women, but he didn't want to choose one over the other. He hoped Kushina would accept it, after all, harems were a natural part of human history. Powerful men had always had many women.

'Even in modern western times, an outstanding man has a huge number of women available to him, even if he doesn't marry. He can still enjoy their company, while in the East, it's common for men to have multiple wives,' Minato thought. In this world, it wasn't very common among ninjas, but many great nobles practiced it. Minato didn't see why he couldn't follow that path as well, having more than one woman to build a family with.

'How can he make me so happy and so angry at the same time!!' Kushina murmured, not wanting to see Minato's face as she pouted.

"She seems pretty upset..." a voice appeared at that moment, and Minato looked up at the white-haired man wearing a Jonin vest like his own.

"Commander Sakumo..." Minato greeted him, already thinking about how to talk to Kushina later. "I proposed to her... and well, it's complicated, but nothing we can't resolve later..." he said, scratching his head.

"That's great... When's the wedding?" Sakumo asked with a smile.

"Well... in about 5 years, you know... I prefer to be 18," Minato said, which was why he was formalizing the engagement now.

"That'll be in a while... I want to be invited too," Sakumo said with a smile as he sat down in front of Minato.

"Of course..." Minato said calmly before pointing to the pot he had made. "Would you like some?"

"Sure, I just came out of my tent, so I'm hungry," Sakumo said as he served himself. "This is good," he admitted, turning back to Minato.

"I heard you went after Might Duy... now that I remember, when I enrolled my son in the academy, I saw him and his son... the boy declared himself Kakashi's rival. I'm surprised he was on this side of the war. I didn't even know his name until I saw your interest in him," Sakumo said, curious.

"So you noticed the potential Guy has..." Minato smiled. "Duy is no different... he might only be a genin, but there's no doubt he will become very strong," Minato said, defending Duy.

"I see... I'll keep an eye on him then," Sakumo responded before continuing. "I spoke with messengers from Konoha. I informed them that the Jinchuuriki is safe and will stay here until she recovers. You, after saving her, will escort her back to Konoha in a few days. The Hokage has started his journey back to the village and will be there in three days," Sakumo added.

"That's good," Minato said, relieved that he would be able to meet the Hokage again.

"There's something I'd like to ask you, Minato Namikaze," Sakumo suddenly said, and Minato looked at him.

"Yes?" Minato couldn't deny much to him, especially since this man had done him a great favor today, entrusting the responsibility of Kushina to him.

"My son is a very talented boy... but I'm afraid he might become just a human weapon that follows every mission without question. He looks up to me too much, and everyone expects that of him. However, I fear his personality might lead him down a less pleasant path..." Sakumo began, and Minato silently agreed.

After all, Kakashi was like that early in his life, perhaps until Obito changed him. He always sought perfection and would prioritize the mission above all else, like Kisame would. Maybe he wouldn't go as far as killing a comrade like the ninja from Kiri did, but he certainly abandoned Rin to prioritize the mission.

"So you want..." Minato murmured, already knowing what he was asking for.

"Yes. I want you to become my son's sensei... I know you'll soon have your own team. I hope someone can teach my son a different path because I'm failing at that," Sakumo confessed, acknowledging that even though he tried to talk to his son, Kakashi only saw him as a figure to surpass.

He continued before Minato could respond. "I know you broke the rules to go to Suna, sacrificing yourself for a comrade from Konoha... you're an example of the path I want my son to follow. That's why I trust putting him in your hands," he explained.

"That's fine. I'll accept your son as my student," Minato agreed, and Sakumo nodded, satisfied.

"Thank you," Sakumo said. Now, he just needed to speak with the Hokage. Although he didn't know it yet, his son would graduate this very year, breaking all academy records by graduating at five years old. Not that talent always equates to potential, after all, the original Minato was stronger than Kakashi.

"Can you tell me how the war is going on this front?" Minato asked, wanting information about this side.

"Of course... The Raikage has been persistent..." Sakumo began explaining, and the two continued their conversation while eating.

"Well, I'm off. Goodnight, boy. I'll leave the girl's care to you, take good care of her," Sakumo said as he stood up. Minato nodded, cleaning up after himself, as he had made a fire in front of the tent. Once everything was tidied up, he returned to his bed.

He found Kushina asleep, her eyes closed, but as soon as she saw him with half-open eyes, she pouted again. "Minato, you idiot!" she murmured and turned away, while Minato sighed and went to bed, hoping they could talk in the morning when she had calmed down.
