Naruto - Leader of Kusagakure

Chapter 7: CH - 07 Uzumaki Clan

A/N -

So I am getting Confused about the time of the Destruction of Uzishiogakure as someone pointed me out in earlier Chapter comments that it's been 6-8 years since destruction of Land of Whirlpools as of 53 year

Here's Some few points to Consider

- Kushina was 6-8 when she was send to Konoha to become Jinchuruki

- 2nd world war ended 53-55 year which means Jiraiya met Nagato who was around 7 at this time (point to be noted Nagato didn't know about his Clan)

- 3rd world war started around 56 and Minato participated for the first time

So, If you think about it Minato become famous in the third world war so he must be around 16-18 which means he should be around 13-15 in 53 year because even his students participated in the same war later on but If Jiraiya met Nagato around 54-55 and he stayed there at least 3 years then how the heck or when the heck He taught Minato anything there's so much little time in the war years to teach him anything and he was already nearly adult and

- Konoha stated during the attack on he was already at war fronts with 3 nations because of this they weren't able to support Uzishiogakure but according to Kushina's age there was no war at that time surely, it wasn't during 1st world war because Kushina wasn't even born at that time

WTF Kishimoto

Uff, my head hurts. Nevertheless Let's now assume in the Story it's been around 8 years since the destruction of Land of whirlpools and Call it a Lazy writing but to avoid any future Troubles let's call it an AU.

Thank You

p.s - Sorry for the outburst. Thank You Again.

As they journeyed back, they encountered no unexpected events and eventually reached the meeting point with the Grass Shinobi after crossing the boundary of the Land of Rain.

Filled with anticipation, Fuso accompanied Kusano and the three children—Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko—to the Land of Grass.

Upon discovering that Kusano was not only the leader of the Grass Shinobi but also the ruler of the entire Land of Grass, Fuso was taken aback. She couldn't comprehend why the leader of a nation would personally infiltrate another country and rescue ordinary civilians.

If it were just her and Nagato, she might have suspected that Akihiko had ulterior motives, perhaps driven by his desire for their unique Uzumaki Clan constitution, which held significant value.

Recalling the embarrassing misunderstanding from the previous night, Fuso's face flushed with embarrassment. She silently scolded herself, feeling utterly ashamed.

At that moment, Akihiko smiled and gestured ahead. "We've arrived. This will be your new home. Despite its recent reconstruction and relatively small size, I'm confident you'll grow to love the Land of Grass."

However, when Akihiko noticed Fuso blushing for no apparent reason, he grew suspicious. "What's the matter?"

"N-nothing! It's nothing at all" Fuso regained her composure, shaking her head. She then looked up at the Land of Grass before her and mustered a smile. "Thank you, Lord Akihiko. I'll be relying on you from now on."

But Akihiko interrupted her, saying, "Just call me Akihiko. There's no need to be so formal. I plan to take Nagato and the others as my students."

"Really?" Fuso's face lit up with joy upon hearing the news. Her mature and gentle smile contrasted with Kana's more soft-spoken demeanor. Despite her youthful appearance, Fuso exuded a sense of maturity, akin to that of an older sister.

She bowed respectfully and said, "Thank you so much! I'm extremely grateful!"

"You're welcome!" Kusano waved his hand casually, wearing a smile. Who said that all Uzumaki Clan members were hot-tempered individuals due to their traits? Weren't Kana and Fuso gentle and kind?

Feeling emotional, Kusano continued, "Don't worry. You have fellow clan members here in the Land of Grass!"

"Clan members?" Fuso asked, puzzled.

Rather than answering, Akihiko simply smiled and looked ahead. "Kana is here!"

"Ah, Akihiko-sama, you're back" A gentle and joyful voice resonated nearby, causing Fuso to look up and meet the gaze of a beautiful girl with red hair, similar to her own. At that moment, she couldn't help but wonder, 'Could she be a surviving member of the Uzumaki Clan?'

"It's good to see you, Kana," Akihiko greeted her warmly. "I've brought some guests with me. This is Fuso, Nagato and Konan, and they will be staying here with us."

Kana smiled and bowed, "Nice to meet you all. I'm Kana Uzumaki. I'm one of the survivors of the Uzumaki Clan, just like you, Fuso-san."

Fuso was shocked to hear that. She never thought she would meet a fellow Uzumaki here. She smiled warmly, feeling a sense of kinship with Kana that she had never felt for a long time. "Yes, I didn't know there were any other Uzumaki here."

Kana's smile sadly. "Yes, there are a few of us scattered throughout the world–"

But Akihiko interrupted their emotional moment, "Well, let's not stand around here. We have a lot of work to do. Kana, can you show them to their new home?"

"Of course," Kana nodded, regained her Composure, and gestured for them to follow her.

...….

As evening fell, Kana and Fuso, the fellow Uzumaki Clan members, couldn't hold back their tears. Despite Kana not experiencing the destruction of her homeland like Fuso did, the Land of Whirlpools held a special place in her heart since it had been annihilated when she was just a child. The feeling of loss and longing for their homeland united them.

Surviving the destruction of their nations had taught them the harsh realities of life. Now, meeting each other as fellow clansmen, there were countless things they wanted to share and express.

Understanding their need for privacy, Akihiko took it upon himself to prepare dinner. Afterward, he left them to have their heartfelt conversation while he briefly greeted the children and had his own meal. Resting in the courtyard, he pondered various matters.

Meanwhile, Mubiki had taken Yahiko under his wing. Officially, Yahiko was his foster son, and Mubiki wanted to ensure his well-being.

For the time being, Fuso, Nagato, and Konan resided in Akihiko's house. The Land of Grass was still undergoing reconstruction, leaving few available dwellings. Many ordinary citizens had to make do with temporary thatched huts.

Lying quietly beside Akihiko and gazing at the starry sky, Nagato mustered the courage to ask, "Akihiko-nii, does that mean I'm now a member of the Uzumaki Clan?" His voice carried hesitation and conflict, as if unsure of his place.

This young boy, now awakened to the existence of his fellow clansmen, seemed both curious and unsettled by this newfound revelation.

Beside him, Konan blinked her eyes, seemingly indifferent to the matter. Content with their current life, she appeared easily satisfied and genuinely happy.

Akihiko nodded, a warm smile on his face. "Yes, Nagato. After the Land of Whirlpools was destroyed, the surviving Uzumaki Clan members scattered across the shinobi world. To protect themselves from assassination attempts, most chose to live anonymously, blending into different parts of the shinobi world."

Nagato's face lit up in realization. "The Land of Whirlpools has already been destroyed. No wonder my mother was always so cautious no matter what she did! I thought she was just timid and wanted me to protect her when I grew up." He paused before asking, "But why do they still want to hunt down our Uzumaki Clan?"

Akihiko's smile faded slightly as he explained, "They fear the power of the Uzumaki Clan and worry that the clan might rise again."

"Huh?" Nagato couldn't fully grasp the concept.

"You'll understand when you become a ninja," Akihiko replied, shaking his head. Deep in thought, he furrowed his brow, contemplating the matter at hand.

Speaking of which, the Land of Grass didn't even have a proper ninja school yet.

In the shinobi world, aside from the major nations and major shinobi villages, most small countries and small shinobi villages didn't have ninja schools. They mainly relied on their families or apprenticeships under specific shinobi to learn ninjutsu.

However, With the Wind Daimyo reducing support for Sunagakure and assigning most missions to Konohagakure, Sunagakure had been forced to adopt an elite training model due to financial constraints. The number of students was limited, and they received specialized one-on-one training from Jonin instructors.

As for Kirigakure, they were entangled in their own internal conflicts, so there was no point in talking about them. Akihiko realized that he needed to establish school in Kusagakure as soon as possible.

When he had reached this conclusion.

"Da-da-da~" The sound of footsteps approached, signaling the end of Kana and Fuso's conversation.

"Akihiko-sama," they both greeted him with a slight bow, their eyes still showing traces of earlier tears.

Fuso held Nagato's hand and bent down, expressing her gratitude earnestly, "Thank you so much! I am willing to do anything you need"

Akihiko waved his hand dismissively and turned his attention to Kana. Curiosity sparkled in his eyes as he asked, "Are there any other Uzumaki clan members?"

He found himself increasingly intrigued by this renowned ninja clan in the vast shinobi world. If they could bring more Uzumaki members to the Land of Grass, it would greatly aid in overcoming the current limitations posed by their scarce bloodline.

"After we arrived in the Land of Rain, Konoha shinobi suddenly appeared and took away a fellow clan member. The Third Elder was concerned about the Uzumaki clan being discovered, so he instructed me to remain in the Land of Rain. Moreover, I am just an ordinary person, and as long as I lead a quiet life, it is unlikely that I will draw attention," Fuso explained, shaking her head. After a brief pause, she added softly, "The Third Elder...seems to have headed north."

"I followed the Fifth Elder and the Seventh Elder," Kana chimed in, her disappointment evident in her lowered gaze. "However, during an ambush by a group of shinobi, the Fifth Elder sacrificed himself, and we were scattered. My original plan was to go to Konoha, but fate led me to wander here."

Silence filled the air as it became apparent that numerous Uzumaki clan members had escaped in the aftermath of the sudden clan attacks, including both civilians and shinobi. Yet, despite the destruction of the Whirlpool Country, they remained targets of pursuit.

Currently, their whereabouts remain unknown.

Kusano shook his head with a tinge of disappointment before a smile brightened his face. "Never mind. I will have the shinobi conduct an investigation. Who knows, we might find something? It's late now, and Fuso, Nagato, and Konan must be tired. Rest early, everyone! Kana, please arrange their accommodations."

After being away for several days, there were still numerous matters that needed attending to on the following day.

"Oh, by the way, I assume you haven't had dinner yet, right? I saved some for you on the table."

With a yawn, he turned and headed towards his room.

"Ah, Akihiko-sama is truly kind-hearted."

As the words left her lips, Fuso couldn't help but recall that night, causing a faint blush to color her cheeks.

"He is indeed a remarkably gentle person" Kana nodded in agreement before noticing her sister, Fuso, whose face had taken on a subtle rosy hue. Surprised, she inquired, "Fuso, what's the matter? Your face appears flushed."

"I-I... It's possible I'm feeling a bit warm," Fuso stammered while shaking her head.
