Naruto: Konoha’s Trickster, Starting as the Seven-Tails Jinchūriki

Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Guarding Against Thieves? No! Just Guarding Against Kazuyama Gekkō!

What happens if you run into a hungry bear in the depths of the forest? You get eaten.

That's exactly the predicament Kazuyama was facing as the drooling brown bear lunged toward him!

"Chōmei!"

"Don't rush me! I'm almost done!"

Chōmei was just as anxious. He could see the bear's wide-open mouth and knew he had only moments before his best friend might be lost. The thought of never being able to watch a good show again drove Chōmei mad.

Chakra surged into Kazuyama's body.

"Roar!" (Time to eat!)

The brown bear was practically laughing as it opened its jaws to bite down. But in the next instant, an arm pulsing with crimson energy slammed into its chest.

"Just in time!"

"Kazuyama! Half-Tailed Beast transformation! You must hold on! Don't let my chakra make you lose control!"

Chōmei's voice was firm, filled with urgency. He was terrified of what could happen if Kazuyama succumbed to the overwhelming power. If that happened, it was game over.

"This is amazing! Is this really your chakra, Chōmei?"

"I feel like I could take on a thousand Kakashis right now!"

Kazuyama's body radiated the Tailed Beast's chakra, which enveloped him in a glowing, crimson coat.

"Keep going!"

"Half-Tailed Beast transformation or not, I've got this!"

Hearing Kazuyama's confident tone, Chōmei exhaled slightly, then continued to pour chakra into him.

The bear, pinned down, suddenly sensed that its prey was no longer prey. What stood before it now was something terrifying—a creature radiating pure menace. The massive bear trembled in fear.

"Chōmei, watch this—just a half-Tailed Beast transformation!"

"I could do this with my hands tied behind my back!"

At that moment, Kazuyama truly understood the raw, overwhelming power of the Tailed Beasts. The chakra coursing through him was already enough to make him feel like he was losing his grip on reality. His skin began to crackle, and where it peeled away, it was replaced by energy-laden, red chakra skin.

Under the bear's horrified gaze, its prey shifted from human to a crimson monster.

"Roar!"

The transformation escalated.

One tail...

Two tails...

Three tails...

Four tails…

"Kazuyama, stop! That's enough! Four tails is more than enough for your first half-Tailed Beast transformation!"

Chōmei watched nervously as Kazuyama barked excitedly, afraid he was losing himself to the power. He quickly cut off the chakra flow. Four tails' worth of chakra was already overwhelming.

"Pff..."

A faint wisp of black smoke rose from the bear's head—the searing heat of Kazuyama's transformed body had scorched its fur.

"Ow..."

The bear yelped in pain. A moment later, it found itself airborne, hurtling through the forest at breakneck speed.

"You want to eat me? Try again in your next life!"

"Roar!"

Another triumphant roar burst from Kazuyama, his excitement impossible to contain. With the System backing him up, he had no fear of losing himself, in his Tailed Beast form. Being a Perfect Jinchūriki was no joke.

Once the transformation progress bar hit 100%, he was already considering attempting a Tailed Beast Ball in half-transformation mode.

"Kazuyama! That's enough! The medicine in your body has been cleared."

"Hurry up and undo the half-Tailed Beast transformation! You're still in the village!"

"Someone's bound to notice soon!"

Chōmei was visibly nervous, dreading the possibility of being discovered and locked up again. He hadn't even had his fill of entertainment yet.

"I know, I know! I'll undo it right now!"

Kazuyama understood perfectly well that he was still in the village. He didn't dare to fool around too much at this point. Silently, he disconnected the chakra link with Chōmei.

The crimson chakra coat dissipated, and Kazuyama reappeared at the center of the Death Forest. The once-dense surroundings had been reduced to an open clearing, evidence of the destruction he'd caused.

"Damn, that got a little out of hand. Let's hurry up and get out of here. If we get caught, we're finished."

Kazuyama was still buzzing with excitement from the overwhelming surge of chakra. He had caused significant damage to the area, yet his body felt great. With the activation of the Tailed Beast's chakra, all traces of the medicine had been flushed out of his system.

Without hesitation, he activated the Flying Thunder God Technique. The scene around him shifted instantly, and in the blink of an eye, he found himself atop the Hokage Rock, overlooking the village below.

"Chōmei, I don't think we can stay in the village for a while. Those guys will definitely hunt me down the moment they're free."

"Where do you think we should go to lay low?"

Kazuyama sat cross-legged, deep in thought. He knew that once Fugaku and Minato were out of the hospital, they'd come after him. Not to mention Kushina and Mikoto—they wouldn't let him off easily either.

"Hey, I remember Old Man Third saying something about Iwagakure's Jinchūriki heading to the Land of Grass."

"The Five-Tails Kokuō, right? Kokuō. Chōmei, should we head there and check it out?"

A sly grin crept across Kazuyama's face. Whenever he smiled like that, it meant trouble was brewing in his mind.

"Kokuō? Sure, why not?"

"Anyway, if you can't beat them, you can always run. But that smile… you're up to something, aren't you?"

Chōmei knew Kazuyama too well. If he wasn't smiling, it was unusual. But when he was, it meant chaos was just around the corner.

"I can't say, I can't say. Let's go borrow something from my Sensei first. If it works..."

"Maybe we can get Kokuō and Son Gokū to fight each other. Hehehe..."

Hearing that, Chōmei perked up, intrigued. He was always a fan of a good show, and the idea of Kokuō and Son Gokū battling each other sounded irresistible.

Kazuyama wasted no time. Using the Flying Thunder God technique, he teleported straight to Orochimaru's residence.

"Sensei, are you here?"

"Sensei?"

"Damn it! Why'd he have to go out now, of all times?"

Staring at the closed door, Kazuyama felt a wave of frustration. Why had he chosen Orochimaru as his teacher in the first place? Oh right—because he wanted access to all of Orochimaru's treasures! But now, his so-called Sensei was nowhere to be found.

Placing his hands on the door, Kazuyama closed his eyes and channeled chakra to probe the area. The moment he did, his frustration hit a new peak.

"Damn it! So many restrictions! Are these to keep thieves out, or to keep me out?!"

"You promised we'd do research together! Tsk! It was all lies!"

Seething, Kazuyama turned and stormed off. There was nothing he could do. His scan had revealed no fewer than fifty defensive barriers in place.

Unbeknownst to him, Orochimaru had prepared for this exact situation. He knew his precious disciple a little too well.

If Orochimaru had been present, he would've laughed and said, "Fifty? You think that's all? That's just the outer barrier. Inside, there are at least two hundred more."
