The kunai hovering around Inoiki suddenly dropped, embedding themselves in the ground in a neat circle around him. The Jonin leader and his two Chunin comrades watched in confusion, glancing at one another with uncertainty. Inoiki's teammates, hidden in the shadows, exchanged looks as well, puzzled by his actions.
"Did he… run out of chakra?" one of the Chunin muttered under his breath. Though they suspected this, none dared to make the first move toward Inoiki, wary of what might happen if they attacked head-on.
In the next instant, both Chunin felt a strange, unnatural pull on their weapons. Before the Chunin wielding the sword could even process the sensation, his arm twisted with a brutal, impossible force, his wrist rotating until the blade turned back toward him. With a sickening crunch, his hand snapped, and he cried out in agony, the sword now aimed directly at his own chest. His scream was cut short as the blade drove itself into his heart, his life ending with a look of shock and unwillingness frozen on his face.
The second Chunin, clutching his kunai, managed to release his grip just in time, narrowly avoiding a similar fate. But the kunai, propelled by an unseen force, spun through the air with deadly speed, striking him in the chest. Panic flared in his eyes as he looked down, realizing too late what had happened. The weapon had already pierced his heart, and he collapsed without a sound.
Silence settled over the battlefield as the two Chunin fell, leaving only the Jonin leader standing, his eyes wide with shock. He hadn't expected his team to be dismantled so quickly, nor could he understand how the young ninja before him had done it. Inoiki's kunai floated back up, each one faintly glowing with his blue chakra.
With the Chunin and Genin killed, only the Jonin leader remained.
Inoiki wasn't about to give him a moment to plan an escape or launch a counterattack. With a quick flick of his fingers, he commanded his kunai to rise from the ground and streak toward the Jonin leader, their trajectory sharp and unrelenting.
The Jonin, however, was no ordinary opponent. With practiced reflexes, he revealed his wrists, pressing hidden buttons that triggered claw-like weapons to spring from each arm. Each claw held three gleaming blades, fixed and sturdy, designed to parry high-speed attacks. Inoiki's eyes narrowed as he observed the weapon. "A fixed blade weapon… Did he know about my ability in advance?" he murmured, watching closely. "Or am I overthinking it?"
The Jonin leader expertly deflected the incoming kunai with his clawed weapons, each clash ringing out in the stillness of the field. He maintained a defensive stance, retreating with each deflection, knowing that standing still against such relentless strikes would mean a swift defeat. Yet even as he moved, his defence wasn't perfect—three kunai managed to graze him, slicing thin, crimson lines across his shoulder, forearm, and thigh.
Inoiki noted each cut with satisfaction, his confidence unwavering. He sensed that the Jonin was tiring, his reaction time faltering with each deflection. Adjusting his stance, Inoiki increased the speed of his kunai, making them zip unpredictably around his opponent, closing off any hope of retreat.
The Jonin leader's breathing grew heavier, his movements slowing as he realized he was running out of options.
"This can't continue, or I'll lose," the Jonin leader thought grimly. Quickly retracting his clawed weapons, he activated the Body Flicker Technique, disappearing in a swift blur of motion and reappearing a significant distance away. But Inoiki, using his sensory abilities, tracked him instantly. The kunai followed, gliding through the air in pursuit of the Jonin.
Once the Jonin leader had put enough space between himself and Inoiki, he formed a series of hand seals. "Earth Style: Earth Wall!" he intoned, slamming his hands to the ground. An immense wall of stone erupted before him, and Inoiki's kunai embedded themselves harmlessly in its surface.
Seizing his chance, the Jonin leapt onto the top of the wall and used the Body Flicker Technique again, speeding toward Inoiki, who stood prepared below. As he closed in, the Jonin unleashed a powerful fire-release jutsu, Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet, a wide flame surging toward Inoiki with blistering intensity. Inoiki's reaction was swift—he activated his Psychokinesis, lifting himself gracefully off the ground, floating to a height that placed him safely above the fire's reach.
The Jonin leader's face contorted with frustration as he watched Inoiki levitating, well out of range. "The information was wrong…" he muttered, realizing the extent of Inoiki's abilities.
Inoiki looked down at him, his expression calm but unyielding. Then, he dived from above, hurtling toward the Jonin with his right fist extended. Channeling his psychokinetic power into his arm, his fist began to glow a fierce sky blue, brighter than the rest of his aura.
The Jonin leader braced himself. He reactivated his claw weapon, hoping to catch Inoiki's fist directly against his claw weapon, and hoping it would force Inoiki to break off the attack.
Inoiki saw his plan and smirked. "Naive," he muttered. "You really think that will stop me?"
As Inoiki's fist closed in, the Jonin's claw arm began to warp, bending under the intense energy radiating from Inoiki's psychokinetic-enhanced punch. Desperation flashed in the Jonin's eyes, and he cursed under his breath. "Damn you."
Finally, Inoiki's fist met the Jonin's, shattering his bone with an audible crack that echoed through the air. For a moment, there was silence as the Jonin stared in disbelief, his right arm going limp, hanging uselessly at his side. Then the pain hit, and he let out an agonized scream. But Inoiki remained impassive, aware that if he hadn't disabled this opponent, he would likely have been the one defeated.
Without hesitation, Inoiki gripped the Jonin by the neck, holding him steady. Concentrating, he extended his psychokinetic hold to the kunai lodged in the earth wall. With a flick of his mind, he called them back, sending them shooting toward the Jonin from behind. In one swift motion, the kunai stabbed through the Jonin's legs and left arm, pinning him in place, his body weakened and utterly immobilized.
The Jonin gasped, his resistance fading as he struggled to maintain consciousness, his strength sapped and his spirit crushed by Inoiki's unyielding assault.
