Chapter 18: Ch-18 Training.
That night, after finishing dinner, Inoiki sat at his study table, staring thoughtfully at the blank page before him. His mind raced as he replayed the events of the day—his recent fights with Sasuke and Fu. One thing had become clear: he needed to drastically improve his physical strength.
"My fights today showed me something crucial," Inoiki thought, gripping the pen in his hand. "I need to enhance my body, and even more importantly, I haven't developed my Kekkei Genkai, Psychokinesis, to its full potential. I've been neglecting it, and that ends now."
Determined, he began mapping out a plan for the next six years, a training regimen that would push his abilities to new heights. "I need to reach the level of an Elite Jonin before I graduate from the Ninja Academy," he thought, his eyes narrowing in focus. "I can't rely on anyone else to protect me once I'm out there. It's all on me."
The first thing he wrote down was his primary focus: cardio. "Okay, my first exercise will be high-intensity cardio," he murmured, writing as he thought. "I'll carry a bag weighted with sand or metal, and while running forward, I'll use my telekinesis to push the bag backward, creating resistance. That'll build muscle endurance and sharpen my mental focus at the same time."
Next, he sketched out his strength training. "Squats and push-ups. But not just regular sets," he thought, scribbling furiously. "I'll use the same weighted bag and increase the difficulty by using Psychokinesis to add extra resistance on top of the weight. That'll force my body to adapt to tougher conditions, increasing both my strength and control over my Kekkei Genkai."
Inoiki paused for a moment, thinking about how best to push himself further. He smiled as an idea struck him. "Deadlifts. But every time I lift the weight, I'll apply additional pressure with my telekinesis, making each rep exponentially harder." He could already feel the burn from the imagined exertion, but the thought of growing stronger kept him motivated.
But he knew strength training wasn't enough. He needed to balance the physical strain with recovery. "After all this, my muscles will be under extreme pressure. That's when I'll use Psychokinesis to massage and relax them, reducing fatigue." Inoiki smiled, envisioning how he could push his body harder while ensuring a quicker recovery.
Once his muscles were relaxed, he knew what came next: mental focus. "I'll end each session with thirty minutes of meditation," he wrote. "It will sharpen my mind, keep me centered, and maintain balance between my physical and mental energy."
Inoiki leaned back for a moment, eyes scanning the rough outline he had written so far. There was one more element he needed to incorporate. "After I return from the academy each day, I'll practice sculpting with my kunai—using only my telekinesis. No physical touch allowed." The challenge, he thought, would be immense. But the mental discipline required for such intricate control would pay off in ways even lifting weights couldn't.
When he was finished, Inoiki reviewed the entire training plan, nodding with satisfaction. "This is perfect," he muttered. "Phase one, the morning, will focus on heavy lifting and resistance training with my telekinesis, enhancing both my physical strength and mental power. Phase two, the evening, will hone my control even further, without taxing my body. It's the perfect balance."
Satisfied with his strategy, Inoiki leaned back in his chair, feeling more determined than ever. His path was clear now: not just to become strong, but to become unbeatable by the time he graduated.
After finalizing his plans, Inoiki went to bed, determined to start his new training regimen at dawn. The next morning, he woke up promptly at 4:30 a.m. After his personal hygiene routine, he grabbed the heavy sand-filled bag he'd prepared the night before and left his home by 5:00 a.m.
Inoiki headed toward a nearby playground, a quiet spot that rarely saw any visitors at this early hour. Just as he expected, the place was empty. The morning air was crisp, and the stillness of the playground only fueled his resolve.
He wasted no time. Strapping on the heavy bag, he began his morning run, following the plan he'd devised. With each step, he used his telekinesis to push the weight backward, increasing the resistance. The strain on his muscles was intense, but Inoiki pressed on, his mind focused on the goal. By the time he finished running, his muscles burned, but the satisfaction of having pushed himself to the limit spurred him forward.
After returning home, Inoiki completed the rest of his morning training as planned, doing squats, push-ups, and deadlifts, each exercise enhanced with the use of his Psychokinesis to add more difficulty. By the end, his body was exhausted, but he knew that every drop of sweat was a step closer to his goal.
Once his training was finished, he took a long, relaxing bath. The hot water eased the tension in his muscles, and after he was refreshed, he joined his family for breakfast. He ate quietly, his mind still on the rigorous training he'd just completed.
As he and Ino prepared to leave for the academy, their mother watched them from the doorway, a concerned look in her eyes. "Inoiki's training this morning was much more intense than before," she remarked, her voice tinged with worry.
Inoichi, standing beside her, nodded as he watched his son walk away. "Yes," he agreed, "he's pushing himself harder than ever. But he has no choice now. If he wants to become the ninja he dreams of being, this level of dedication is necessary. All we can do is support him—make sure he gets proper care on the weekends, that his diet is right, and that his needs are met."
Inoiki's mother nodded, though the concern didn't leave her face. She knew the path her son had chosen was a difficult one, but she also understood his determination. There was no turning back now.
