Wind Daimyo was the second least wealthy Daimyo in front of the Daimyos of the other big nations, being richer than only the Daimyo of Land of Lightning, whose main source of revenue was mountain goats and such.

The main source of revenue are the gold mines. While there aren't many mines like Land of Fire and Land of Earth, they are still substantial.

When Suna was formed, he was obviously unhappy.

Previously, the ninjas fighter each other to protect his mines, leading to lower prices for hiring them due to competition.

But after every ninja in the Land of Wind submitted under the Kazekage and drove away his samurai, he was just waiting for a chance to screw over Suna.

Roran city's queen has received training from his samurai, and since she was very beautiful, he agreed to her request in exchange for her younger sister to marry his most cherished youngest son.

If not for him being wary of ninjas, he would have directly made the queen of Roran join his harem.

Still, with her younger sister engaged to his son, he would be able to convince her to take out the Reto. Who does he thinks he is? Driving out his samurais?

And that scoundrel was threatening war to other countries.

While the Wind Daimyo also wanted his desert lands to expand into farmable lands, he knew that the weak Suna is no match for Konoha.

Afterall, Konoha has made the Fire Daimyo, who has been playing the clans against each other all his life, become merely a figurehead. And he knew that guy wouldn't relent his power unless he knew that he wouldn't be able to do anything.

Among all the Daimyos, the Fire Daimyo was the wealthiest, greediest, and smartest. He would have hired even the entire world of ninjas and samurais if there was even one chance of not becoming a puppet and ensuring his safety at the same time.

He even gave his beloved daughter to marry Hashirama's son.

He was jealous of the Fire Daimyo, with the largest and most fertile land in the world, so many clans, and having the God of Shinobi protecting his country without laying a hand on him.

On the other hand, he got the incompetent and weak Reto. Who has earned the anger of the entire ninja world. They few mines that the Wind Daimyo has are also in danger now.

He was planning to replace Reto with Ichika, intending to hire the disciple of the Tsuchikage who has incredible stealth to eliminate Reto.

Perhaps the Earth Daimyo sensed his intentions and told him that Mu can turn invisible and is perfect for assassinations.

But...

"My daughter-in-law has disappeared!?"

Wind Daimyo shouted in disbelief.

He immediately realised that he has been tricked by the Earth Daimyo!

Yesterday, Mu appeared before him, and he handed him the task to secretly assassinate the Kazekage.

He was able to go past all security without any effort, bringing him that confidence that Mu will be able to execute the mission perfectly.

This definitely means that he has the ability to kidnap a 13 year old kid with no training.

He realised the Earth Daimyo's plan. Aiming to incite a Civil War in Suna.

There is no way to prove that he has commissioned for the assassination of Kazekage. But, what if... the story goes like...

'The Wind Daimyo didn't like Ichika putting forward the proposal of not allowing other villages to accept missions from other countries. So, he conspired with Kazekage, whose son is incharge of his protection, to kidnap/kill her little sister.'

And at the same time, a ninja commissioned by the Wind Daimyo will fail to assassinate Kazekage.

Kazekage will turn against him and Ichika.

And Ichika will turn against him and Kazekage.

And the result will be, a Civil War! And using that opportunity, Land of Earth will get it's hands on his gold mines!

No matter who wins the Civil War, they will definitely be against him! And there are several relatives who want his position of Wind Daimyo!

Thinking quickly, he decided to first take Ichika's side. She is still 16, and barely lost to Kazekage who is in his prime. Given a few years, she will definitely surpass him. And since she is smart, she must have somehow gotten antidotes for Reto's poison.

And he himself will go to a party in the wedding of a noble in the Land of Fire.

And blaming Reto's son will be easier.

"You! You killed the sister of your soon-to-be step-mother! And my future daughter-in-law!"

"Daimyo-sama! I didn't do anything!"

"You did it! You are incharge of the security! To protect me and my family! And you dare kill my family! Get out! All of you!"

Wind Daimyo looked at his son-in-law, the only samurai in his family who he managed to not get expelled by allowing his daughter to marry him.

"You will be incharge of the security from now on. Put them all in prison!"

"Daimyo-sama-!"

"Resist, and I will know that you really dared to harm the Wind Daimyo."

Faced with that statement, nobody resisted the arrest. Secretly, Reto's son slipped a scorpion to tell his father about the situation.

And the Wind Daimyo started making preparations to go to the wedding if things turn south. And wrote a letter to Fire Daimyo to send Konoha ninjas to escort him.

Even though all Daimyo's are enemies, they are also united. Afterall, if one Daimyo falls, every Daimyo will be in danger by their ninja villages.

In his mind, he couldn't help but want to strangle the Earth Daimyo and that Mu.

'Dammit!'

Meanwhile, Mu returned to Iwa and hastily went to the First Tsuchikage.

"Did you complete the mission-"

"Tsuchikage-sama, I abandoned the mission-"

"WHAT-!?"

"I abandoned the mission because I sensed Madara!"

Mu is Iwa's greatest sensor. And he is very familiar with Madara's chakra, after having been defeated by him as if he was a genin against a Kage.

As soon as he sensed Madara's chakra in Land of Wind, he broke into a cold sweat and flew back to Iwa without looking back. Abandoning his mission.

This news was more important than assassinating Kazekage!

Madara is ALIVE! And is probably conspiring with Suna! Or trying to control it with his Sharingan, which even controlled the Nine-tails!

Meanwhile, Madara returned to Konoha, and after thinking about it, said to Hashirama.

"Hashirama, I think it will be for the best for me to hide right now. And we need to treat your illness that she was talking about."

"I am perfectly fine!"

"No. We will first treat you, then I will challenge you again. I want to test the full strength of the Rinnegan against a full powered you!"

Tobirama frowned and said.

"You won't remain hidden Madara. The entire city of Roran was evacuated. It must be already known to too many people that you arrived there, and most probably think that you went there to pick a fight."

Hashirama looked suspiciously at Madara.

"Madara, you didn't actually go there to pick a fight, did you?"

"I did. But seeing how afraid she was, I lost interest.

But, a dragon, and calling Sage of Six Paths Gramps..."

Madara showed a battle thirsty grin.

"After I beat you at your full strength, I will go to deliver her the Seven tails, and see for myself if she is really a dragon."

Back in Roran, as Ichika was overseeing her citizens going back to their homes, she suddenly started hiccupping.

In both her puppet body and the real one.

"Sensei?"

Chiyo, who was busy admiring the mechas, gave her her water bottle.

Ichika patted Chiyo's head, and started feeling a foreboding danger again, as her hiccups continued.
