NARUTO: In the Era of Sannin

Chapter 1: CH01: Kevin [END]

"Haa…haa"

A panting man ran through the alleyway.

*thump*

"Please don't kill me, I didn't do anything wrong.

Here, you can take all of my money.

Just give me a few minutes. I will send all of my money to you", the man pleaded as he fell down by stumbling on something.

But in response to this the other man from who he was running away didn't react in the way he wanted him to.

"I don't want your black money", said the other man who was wearing a black color mask covering all of his face except his eyes.

*bang* *bang*

Two shots were fired by him that hit his forehand, making the body limp in a matter of seconds.

"Finally some rest~~~"

The man who just committed a murder acted like nothing had happened. But this was the reality of Kevin who worked in the underworld to make a living and sometimes had to work as a hitman too.

He looked at the money transaction message popping up in his mobile phone.

Confirming that his work is done properly he left the vicinity by walking through many alleyways and changing his get up on the way.

Although the police wouldn't take any action on this matter thanks to the bribe that they received every week from the organization.

But to stay clean Kevin always erases his presence very carefully.

After all, he has been to jail once due to a fraud case that he wasn't even at fault for. But now when he was committing murders he wasn't convicted for anything and lives freely. .

"This much should be enough to live the rest of my life peacefully.

It's time to send a message of resignation to my boss" Kevin said as he looked at his account balance.

Kevin hated his job but due to circumstances, he had to follow through with it anyhow. But now that he had no problems anymore he just wanted to cut off this dark side of his life.

Soon the reply message came from the other side, and he was released from all of his duties. Although it sounds sketchy how easily he came out of the underworld, it was not at all.

Afterall he never was truly a part of it in the first place. He was someone that you can call a middle man there, working for everyone.

The thing he did was take a mission from an organization that worked for many companies in the underworld.

Thus he was not part of anyone to begin with.

Meanwhile doing this work in his 12 years of work life he made sure to stay neutral, not offend anyone, don't do bad things that would harm a large number of people and finally kill only those he deserved to be killed.

*Ting*

A message popped up in his phone making his happy face elated in euphoria.

This was a message confirming his delivery of an anime figurine that he ordered reaching his home.

In the insane world of crimes where he works, these child-like things were only strings that kept him sane or else he would have lost his humanity like others.

Going back to his home he decided to stop on the way to buy chicken fries and colas as the celebration meal.

Although he was already 28 yrs old, he hated any alcoholic beverages that made him lose control of his body.

Since he was not living an ordinary life from the age of 12, he found it hard to understand why people of his generation glorified these things.

However he never cares what others do. The thing that he understood from his whole life was that the most important thing for yourself is you, not anyone else.

He picked up his order from the shop and went back to his bike, however just as he was about to start it; he saw a particular person on the other side of the road that he hadn't seen for decades, his mom.

The cruel person in front of her eyes was not like how he imagined her to be.

Her state was pitiful.

He didn't know what happened but it was clear that it was karma.

She was looking like a homeless person wandering on the street like a madman.

But before the spark of kindness could have converted into flames, she snatched a person from a very elderly woman and ran with full speed towards his side of the road.

A heavy duty truck that only runs during the night time came running at full speed with his driver honking his horn fanatically.

Kevin immediately knew the case was of brake failure that sometimes happens in those types of vehicles. His emotion got out of controlled as he shouted for his mom to stop running or else she would get hit with the truck.

But strangely to his expectation the truck driver in order to save his mother's life tried to turn the vehicle to a little side, which resulted in it crashing down on the road and came sliding straight towards the Kevin and the person standing next to him.

"SH*T-"

even before he could complete his words, the truck collided with his body. It all happens in a matter of seconds and even though Kevin reacted to it, he wasn't fast enough to dodge that but he felt a little push on his back.

Getting hit by this huge impact Kevin barely held on his life as he looked at his surrounding. His body was slumped to a wall with the truck one hand away from him.

There was no sense in his body anymore and with his legs gone the blood was running down like stream, making sure he won't survive to see the next morning.

The loud noises of the surrounding was absent for him, he forced his head to move and take a last look of his surrounding.

The woman who gave him birth was gone but there were two dead bodies lying near him in more brutal state then him.

One with a blue clothing and white coat on top which was died red with all the blood and the other wearing a business suit whose body was on the worst state.

One was probably a doctor from the hospital right next to the turn, maybe came here to relieve her stress or to eat something and the other one was the one who tried to save him.

Kevin was sure of his hypothesis but it was of no importance. All three of them had a destine death here and surprisingly the one he was trying to warn was still kicking alongside the driver of the truck that was being escorted by the ambulance right in front of eyes with his full conscious on.

Meanwhile he was losing his conscious with every other thought. In his last moments he felt bad for himself and the two alongside him.

But what could he do? Life was always unfair and uncertain. The same goes for him and for everyone else too.

He had many dreams that he wanted to complete from tomorrow onwards but alas now they would never get fullf....
