Chapter 4: Kakashi's Horror.
Hearing Kirito's muttering, Kakashi's eyes narrowed as he dashed forward.
"What?"
Before Kakashi could process the situation, the battlefield was suddenly illuminated by a blinding golden light. The intensity of the radiance forced everyone to shield their eyes.
Kakashi's instincts kicked in. He swiftly hurled several kunai toward the source of the golden light while his two clones flanked the target. His plan was to overwhelm Kirito with confusion and exploit his supposed lack of ninjutsu.
*This will end it,* Kakashi thought.
But things didn't go as planned.
---
Suddenly, amidst the golden brilliance, a figure emerged. Kirito, bathed in the glowing light, moved with a speed that seemed to defy reality. Before Kakashi or his clones could react, Kirito closed the gap in an instant, delivering a radiant, high-speed kick to Kakashi's midsection.
**Bang!**
Kakashi was sent flying backward, crashing into the wall with enough force to crack its surface. He slumped to the ground, momentarily dazed, as dust and debris settled around him.
The two clones dissolved into nothingness, leaving only silence in their wake.
---
The crowd watching the duel was left speechless.
Iruka's jaw dropped, his wide eyes glued to the battlefield. "What… just happened?"
Mizuki's face contorted with disbelief, his earlier sneers giving way to shock and humiliation.
On the other hand, Might Guy and Kurenai Yuhi, who had joined the spectators, were equally stunned.
"Kakashi... was sent flying?" Kurenai stammered, her crimson eyes trembling with disbelief. "And what was that light?"
Might Guy's face turned serious. "He didn't just defeat Kakashi's clones. He struck all three targets simultaneously… with sheer speed and precision."
"What!?" Kurenai's voice rose, struggling to comprehend. "But… that's not possible. He doesn't even know ninjutsu! How could he see through the clones?"
Guy shook his head. "He didn't need to." His tone was grave, laced with admiration. "He didn't waste time identifying the real Kakashi. He simply attacked all at once. That's beyond speed—it's mastery of taijutsu."
---
Kirito stood in the center of the field, calm and composed, as if the dazzling display of power was nothing extraordinary.
"You're fast, Kakashi," Kirito said evenly, his voice carrying across the silent battlefield. "But speed alone won't save you."
Kakashi, still slumped against the cracked wall, finally managed to stand. Pain radiated from his abdomen, but his determination hadn't wavered.
His right hand reached for his forehead protector, slowly pulling it up to reveal his Sharingan.
The crowd gasped collectively, knowing full well what that crimson eye signified.
"The Sharingan…" murmured Mizuki, a mix of awe and dread crossing his face.
---
Kakashi's Sharingan locked onto Kirito, its three tomoe spinning. It was the Uchiha clan's legendary dōjutsu, capable of perceiving even the slightest movements.
"Let's see how fast you really are," Kakashi muttered under his breath, his fighting spirit reignited.
In an instant, Kakashi formed hand seals. With a *bang*, three clones appeared and began circling Kirito at lightning speed.
But Kirito didn't flinch. As the three Kakashis closed in, the golden light surrounding him intensified.
And then, it happened.
In Kakashi's Sharingan-enhanced vision, time seemed to slow. He could see everything—Kirito's faint smirk, the precise flicker of golden energy around his body.
But even the Sharingan couldn't track Kirito's next move.
"Have you ever been kicked by light, Kakashi?" Kirito's voice echoed faintly.
A golden blur streaked across the field.
**Boom!**
The attack landed before Kakashi could react. His body twisted in midair, but at the last moment, he dissolved into water—a substitution technique executed with split-second timing.
---
Kakashi reappeared several meters away, panting heavily. His body was drenched in sweat, and his muscles screamed in protest.
"Impossible…" Kakashi whispered, clutching his chest. Even with the Sharingan, he had barely avoided a direct hit. If it weren't for his water clone, he would've been incapacitated.
Kirito stood unmoved, the golden light around him slowly fading.
"Still want to continue, Kakashi?" Kirito asked, his tone calm but laced with finality.
Kakashi exhaled deeply, his resolve faltering. He knelt on one knee, placing his hand on the ground for support.
"I… yield," Kakashi admitted, his voice heavy with exhaustion. "You win."
---
The battlefield fell silent, save for the soft rustling of leaves.
Iruka stared at Kirito with newfound awe. "He… beat Kakashi."
Mizuki, on the other hand, clenched his fists tightly, his face pale and filled with anger.
Might Guy smiled broadly, admiration gleaming in his eyes. "What incredible skill… His taijutsu is on par with the best. I'd say he's even faster than me!"
Kurenai, still trying to process what she had just witnessed, couldn't help but ask, "Who *is* this boy?"
---
Meanwhile, Kakashi looked up at Kirito, an expression of respect now replacing his earlier doubt. For a moment, he saw the shadow of his former teacher, Namikaze Minato—the legendary Yellow Flash of Konoha.
*Minato-sensei... is this boy destined to surpass even you?* Kakashi thought.
He slowly stood, his body still weak. "Kirito, follow me. I'll take you to the Hokage."
As Kakashi and Kirito left the battlefield, the crowd erupted into murmurs, their earlier disdain replaced with awe and fear.
The name Kirito would soon spread through Konoha, not as a boy without ninjutsu, but as a force to be reckoned with.
