"Shisui, are you on their side?"

The Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, a seasoned politician, took a deep breath, calmed himself, and looked at Shisui with piercing eyes before asking.

Staring into the five pairs of Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura broke out in cold sweat. They lacked the courage to speak at all.

Sarutobi Hiruzen turned sharply to stare at Koharu and Mitokado Homura. His tone grew more stern. "You don't want to end up like Danzo, do you?"

As long as Konoha could be saved, Sarutobi Hiruzen was willing to sacrifice anyone, even himself!

The very next day, preparations began in the village to support Uchiha Shisui's rise to power.

A few days later, Uchiha Shisui officially took over as the Fifth Hokage, with the Third Hokage visiting the Fire Country Daimyo.

The following day, Shisui reorganized the Konoha Guard. Uchiha elites were placed in Anbu or Root, depending on their individual character. A few of the more neutral or average Uchiha were allowed to stay in the Konoha Guard.

Ordinary ninjas and those from smaller clans were assigned to bolster the regular staff of the Guard.

Uchiha Fugaku stepped down as captain of the Guard and became an advisor to the Fifth Hokage.

The news of these changes spread quickly across the major countries, and the name of Fifth Hokage Uchiha Shisui resonated throughout the ninja world!

"Okay, we should head back."

Standing in front of the time machine, Naruto turned to Shisui, who was wearing the Hokage hat and robe.

"Don't worry. I will protect little Naruto and Konoha. Little Naruto is now adopted by the patriarch's wife. He will grow up alongside Sasuke, encouraging each other."

Shisui nodded respectfully, his gratitude evident. Without Naruto's intervention, the Uchiha clan might have been wiped out by now.

"Itachi, goodbye..."

The adult Itachi and Sako said their farewells to the young Itachi.

"I will protect my family this time..." The young Itachi replied solemnly, looking at the two of them with determination.

Naruto, eager to return and see the impact of his intervention, called out and pressed the start button on the time machine.
