What are tailed beasts?

Ten-tail's chakra split into 9 parts by Sage of Six Paths and having their own minds and personalities.

One tails, Shukaku, is the bratiest, and has given his whole family bad name. Afterall, the 'Sand Spirit' has been causing havoc across the deserts of Land of Wind his whole life, and even shouts that he is the great Shukaku.

Only his actual name is known through the ninja world.

The rest of the tailed beasts lived relatively detached and lazy lives in difficult to access places. Some people around them would worship them, or try to kill them.

Kinkaku and Ginkaku, who had just stolen the Uzumaki tools that were created by Sage of Six Paths, tried to seal Kurama, but he had patience and didn't fire the tailed beast bomb. But ate those pesky humans.

When they started eating his flesh that is essentially his chakra, he spat them out and they went flying several hundreds of kilometres.

But, Kurama encountered another pesky humans, Madara. Who controlled him with just a glance, forced a summoning contract, and used him to battle against Hashirama.

And when faced with the Thousand-hands Buddha Statue, Kurama no longer seemed to be the force of nature.

If Kurama had practiced ninjutsu for the thousand years he lived, he wouldn't have to face such humiliation.

Afterall, he has slightly more chakra than Hashirama. And Kurama probably knows about chakra the best after Sage of Six Paths himself.

Anyway, right now, only One, Seven and Nine tails are alive.

From two tails to eight, all of them died with their jinchuriki.

While the decision of First Hokage to distribute the tailed beasts was absolutely stupid, Second Hokage's improvement of that plan were rather concerning.

Selling the tailed beasts, knowing that aside from Uzumakis, no one would be able to handle them with a basic Four Symbol seal.

One tails was already sealed in a kettle by First Kazekage with the help of some monks.

Two-tails was bought by Land of Hot Water, which is the richest small country due to their hotsprings attracting Daimyo's and nobles from around the world. Probably because the Daimyo liked cats?

Three-tails was bought by Kirigakure, obviously because of Three-tails being a water type bijuu.

Four-tails was bought by Iwagakure. Probably because of potential for research on lava release and helping in mining.

Five-tails was bought by Amegakure. Probably to boil the rainwater?

Six-tails was bought by Kusagakure.

Seven-tails was bought by the Waterfall village. And since that village has accepted becoming a vassal to Konoha after Kakuzu eliminated the top-brass, and Seven-tails is perhaps the most co-operative, they were able to retain the Seven-tails.

Eight-tails was bought by Kumogakure. Even though a water-type bijuu in mountainous region isn't good. It shows that Kumo is reckless and full of ambition. They faced the most casualties due to Gyuki's frequent rampages, and ultimately died with its jinchuriki in the Kirin-disaster.

Kirin is a really nasty jutsu when the conditions are good. It doesn't even require much chakra.

Sasuke was surely reckless after obtaining the Mangekyo Sharingan, not in his right mind. And well, he probably couldn't bring too much attention and accidentally kill Killer Bee.

Well, not like Eight tails wouldn't be able to tank the attack, even though it is a water type bijuu.

When Akame attacked Kumo, she had her shadow clones infiltrate the village and she herself retreated. So much lightning with so much clouds was difficult to control, and if she performed the jutsu herself, she would have been caught in the cross-fire herself.

If the Eight-tails jinchuriki had almost broken out, and added to the devastation by firing Bijuudamas.

But, the jinchuriki died before he could fully come out, so Eight-tails also died.

Second Hokage probably intended for the bijuus to routinely rampage and cause devastation in those villages. And after paying huge amount of money, completely in gold, to Konoha. Second Hokage was really the nastiest Hokage.

Uzumaki clan was attacked by many villages before the Second Ninja War to get the sealing techniques and Uzumakis for research for the Jinchurikis.

Since no village aside from Konoha and Uzugakure have barriers. Konoha's barrier was gifted by Uzumaki clan. No wonder sneaking into other villages was so easy.

And Hiruzen and Danzo in the og series let the Uzumaki clan being destroyed. There is no way Konoha wouldn't have noticed such long scale deployments, given the Land of Whirlpools is right next to Land of Fire.

No matter how much chakra each Uzumaki has, no matter how good their fuinjutsu is, most of them are not really that good at fighting since fuinjutsu takes a lot of time in learning. The adamantium chains are not something that every Uzumaki has, and only geniuses can handle training and learning fuinjutsu at the same time.

But, Multi-Shadow Clones should solve that problem.

Anyway, putting these thoughts aside, Akame used her Sharingan to enter Mito's mindscape, and when she saw Kurama, she couldn't help but wince.

"Mito-sama, do you have to be so cruel? Please remove the chains."

Kyuubi felt like maybe, just maybe he has misjudged the Third Hokage? Maybe she wasn't as cruel as that Madara and Hashirama?

Mito shook her head.

"Akame-chan, I can't do that. If I loosen the chains, it will try to break free. And without First Hokage, I wouldn't be able to restrain it."

Akame couldn't help but realise how much of a genius Minato was in the series. Despite not being from any clan, he surpassed the reaction speed of Uchihas, and even fuinjutsu of Uzumakis. Naruto's seal was much more advanced and comfortable for both Naruto and Kurama.

Using her chains constantly must be strain for Mito too. Kurama can't be sealed with just a Four Symbol seal.

And with the treatment Kurama has endured for so long, he will never forgive Mito.

Akame sighed and gave Kurama an apologetic bow.

"I am sorry for the treatment you had suffered."

Kurama growled and lashed.

"Do you think that I will ever forgive you humans!? I will tear you apart!"

Hearing this, Mito tried to tighten the chains, but Akame stopped her.

"Mito-sama, as the Hokage, I order you to remove the chains. I can't let an innocent victim suffer."

"But-"

"You don't have to worry. He won't rampage."

Akame said as her three-tomoe Sharingan spun, and formed a five-pointed star patterned Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
