Chapter 27: Chapter 26 Scorching Flames and Hidden Shadows
(A/N: The Chapter Is Totally Similar to last Chapter It just I made a another version of previous chapter I couldn't decided one so I'm gonna Upload both)
Lying atop the worn-out roof of his rundown home, I stared up at the night sky. Stars twinkled above, but my mind was elsewhere—focused on getting stronger.
"Buy six physical training sessions."
"Buy three chakra control training sessions."
"Buy three hand seal training sessions."
A systematic upgrade.
Strength, reaction speed, and constitution—everything was improving at an absurd rate.
After a while, I opened my eyes, feeling the changes surge through my body. I stood up, stretched, then leaped from the roof. My body shot through the air, landing lightly on a thick tree branch some distance away.
"Holy crap… my jumping ability just skyrocketed."
Curious, I leapt again, covering even more ground, until I reached the outskirts of the village, where a dense forest stood. My fingers curled into a fist. Time for a test.
Boom!
A massive tree—so thick that three people together couldn't wrap their arms around it—split clean in half from my punch. The upper half crashed to the ground with a thunderous thud.
One tree wasn't enough.
Another punch. Another tree fell. Then another.
The forest trembled from the destruction, but I wasn't done yet.
I walked up to a nearby stone wall and punched it. Crack! A deep fissure ran through it. A few more strikes, and the entire thing crumbled into rubble.
"Damn… my physical strength is easily at chunin level now."
A rustling sound made me glance up.
From the shadows, several Nara clan shinobi hurried toward the scene, clearly alarmed by the sudden destruction.
"Oh, crap. Time to go."
With a flicker, I vanished.
When the Nara ninjas arrived, they were greeted by a battlefield of fallen trees, cracked ground, and a shattered wall.
"What the hell happened here?"
"The destruction is insane… and these are fist marks?!"
"Could Tsunade-sama be back?"
Back at home, I went over my current progress.
Scorch Release as my kekkei genkai.
Physical ability roughly at Rock Lee's genin level.
Kunai skills at elite proficiency.
Not bad. But not enough.
I needed a trump card—something devastating.
I opened the system's taijutsu selection.
Eight Inner Gates – 500 million ryo
Senju Secret Art: Strength of a Hundred Punch – 200 million ryo
Lightning Release: Cell Activation – 400 million ryo
I winced. These were way too expensive.
Buying a technique outright meant instantly mastering it, but training was way cheaper. I'd have to learn something first, then buy training sessions to refine it.
Speaking of learning…
I reached into my ninja pouch and pulled out a scroll. The one I won from Itachi.
Unrolling it, I scanned the contents.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Fire Release: Phoenix Fire Jutsu
Fire Release: Hiding in Ash Jutsu
Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet
I raised a brow.
Really? This is what Itachi gave me? This was beginner-level stuff for an Uchiha.
In another part of the village…
Shisui sneezed.
Itachi sneezed.
The two Uchiha geniuses exchanged a look before sighing and approaching their clanmates.
"...Hey, uh… you wanna buy a book?"
Fire Release was tricky. It worked best for those with an affinity for fire.
Uchiha clansmen had a natural talent for it, but on paper, my affinity was wind. Itachi must have assumed Fire Release wouldn't work well for me.
Unfortunately for him…
I lifted my palm and channeled chakra.
Fwoosh.
A deep red Scorch Release flame danced in my hand.
Scorch Release combined wind and fire—meaning I had both affinities.
I smirked. "Guess Itachi didn't see that one coming."
Now, which jutsu would work best for me?
Hiding in Ash Jutsu: Releases superheated dust to obscure vision while burning anything it touches.
Heavenly Prison Jutsu: A sealing technique to restrain enemies.
Fire Release: Fire Extinguishing Jutsu: A devastating wave of flames.
I picked all three.
After practicing the techniques a bit, I opened the system's training store.
Fire Release Training – 300,000 ryo
That was thirty times cheaper than directly buying the jutsu.
No brainer. I purchased six Fire Release training sessions.
The results?
Absolute carnage.
The training ground turned into an inferno as I spammed Fire Release jutsu, scorching the earth until it resembled a battlefield.
Late Night Fireworks
Satisfied, I moved to a more secluded location—a rock garden in the village.
"Looks abandoned. Perfect."
I faced a large rock formation with a cave-like opening.
Time to test something.
Hands flashing through seals, I inhaled deeply.
"Fire Release: Hiding in Ash Jutsu!"
A torrent of burning ash and embers shot from my mouth, rushing into the cave. The inside glowed red-hot, flames crackling as they clung to the rock walls.
"Nice… but let's add a little extra heat."
This time, I fused Scorch Release into the attack.
"Scorch Release: Fire Extinguishing Jutsu!"
A monstrous wave of superheated flames erupted from my mouth, slamming into the cave.
Boom!
The rockery glowed like molten lava, heat radiating in waves. I could feel the searing air against my skin.
I grinned. "Madara's got nothing on this."
Satisfied, I turned to leave… then paused.
Something was off.
The flames were moving downward.
Normally, fire rises. But here, it was being pulled inside.
"A hidden chamber?"
I crouched, watching carefully. There was definitely a space beneath the rockery.
…Weird.
Shrugging, I decided to check it out tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in a Hidden Chamber…
A burned, smoking figure staggered out of the cave, coughing violently.
His scorched clothes barely clung to his body, and his charred skin crackled as he moved.
The man looked up at the lava-hot rockery and let out a pained roar:
"WHO THE HELL DID THIS?!"
His rage-filled screams echoed through the night.
Earlier That Night—Root HQ
In a dark underground office, Shimura Danzo scowled as he tapped his cane against the floor.
"Uzumaki Naruto… that damn brat."
His grip tightened.
"The fool Sarutobi refuses to let me control the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. But it doesn't matter. I'll have him eventually."
A Root ninja stood at attention. "Shall we retrieve him, Danzo-sama?"
Danzo sneered. "No need. Sarutobi sees me as the greatest threat, not the Jinchuriki. He won't allow it."
He glanced at Naruto's file.
"Heh. That boy has no idea about the monster inside him. Let's see how long his naïve loyalty lasts."
Danzo smirked.
"Send agents to—"
BOOM!!!
The office door EXPLODED as a tidal wave of scorching ash rushed inside, setting the entire room ablaze.
"AAAHHH!!!"
Danzo screamed, clutching his burned backside.
Somewhere in the village, I sneezed.
