(Sorry about the massive delay in updates, i had various test in school and i still have in the next week, so i may not post many chapters, so sorry about that and i am not dead dont worry about that)

The god of poverty, Shion Yorigami!

(Third person POV)

×Hakurei clan base×

Reimu was currently at the clan base, which was at very top of the gensokyo, the clan main base was beatiful, various red gates with banners of the Hakurei symbol were seen poiting to the direction of the base, which had the appearance of a massive red shrine with multiples lamps using life crystals as fuel shining brightly, there were various artificial sakura trees everywhere too, leaving the petals of these trees fly everywhere

As she was walking towards the entrance of the shrine, someone was hiding behind the bushes ahead quietly, ready to pouce at Reimu at any moment, acting as if the person was a predator and Reimu the prey

But it was hard to ignore the pointy umbrella with a massive tongue getting out of the bush and the heterochromia eyes of the person shinning brightly between the gaps of the bush....

Reimu sweatdropped at the scene, but even then, she pretended to not notice, clearly the person would be sad if she noticed, besides why ruin someone elses fun?

So when she arrived near the bushes while going to the shrine, the person jumped out of the bush

"BOOOO!"

"..." Reimu just stares at the girl, said girl starts to become drepessed and cries a little at the reaction she received by Reimu

Until...

"Oh no~~ a horrible monster is here!!" Reimu makes a dramatic pose to comfort the Kogasa hakurei, a girl with blue clothes, blue hair and heterochromia eyes, one being red, and giant purple umbrella with one red eye and a creepy smile sticking out a massive toungue

Seeing this, kogasa gave a big happy smile, truly happy that her spookiness worked, and not called cute again by the residences of the hakurei clan

"Waahh! Got you hahaha!!" Said kogasa, jumping out of the bush to give a big hug Reimu, even rubbing her cheeks at Reimu's cheek

Reimu gave a small smile at kogasa, already used to her strange behavior, while inside her mind...

"GOSH WHY IS SHE CUTE AAAAA" she was screaming like a little girl finding a cute puppy

Breaking out of her thoughts, Reimu pushes slighty kogasa and starts petting her head, then she speaks

"Kogasa, you little rascal you couldve give me a heart attack! Anyways... you being here already resolves the trouble of finding you, so i want to know about the progress of the akuma buki's? (Devil's weapon)"

"Its going great Reimu-sama! Some people already have some of them, the most powerful of my creations so far was the mini-hakkero for Marisa and the malevolent shrine you asked to make"

Reimu was satisfied with the answer, the progress of these weapon were going smoothly thanks to kogasa, she was a really great blacksmith, probably comparable to the hidden mist great blacksmith they have, the only bad thing about her is that her tendencies of stopping her work to scare people, which most of the time doesnt work

Then Reimu asked the question that was the reason she was searching for kogasa for...

"Thats great and all, but i want to know the progress of project wishmaker and time demise" said reimu, curious on how the progress of these two weapons going

Kogasa expression turned sour when asked about these weapons, giving a clue about the progress of creating the weapons to Reimu

"Reimu-sama, isnt better to abandon these projects? The progress of these weapon is atlest 45 porcent done after 3 years, and we reached a threshold i cant overcome with my team, the only one that i have a idea to make is the time demise, but even then it needs a insane amount of energy to work and someone who can control time to a certain degree" said kogasa, who was tired of trying to create these mythical weapons with powers to change the world

Hearing this, Reimu takes a second to think, then she takes out something from her pocket, she opens her palm and a bright light was seen, shocking kogasa

"This...this is a part of the demon that awakened recently, i hope this can help in the creation of the akuma buki's, gensokyo need more then ever now" said Reimu, who took kogasa hands and put the light inside it

Kogasa seeing this bright light, immediately becomes shocked by the pureness of the energy, even thought it was small, it was enough to create various akuma buki's and give a person a very powerful akuma genkai (akuma genkai - demon limit is basically a kekkei genkai created from nue's energy)

"This is incredible! With this the progress of the projects will probably accelerate by alot! But i need more of this to truly complete it" said kogasa, who had a happy smilenon her face

"Dont worry about the quantity, the demon can be easily defeated by my powers, i thought the demon would destroy gensokyo is seconds, but its actually weak when comes to combat" saying this, she goes backs to the shrine to make preparations to summon the elites

Kogasa watches her figure slowly getting out of her sight, she wanted to say that it may not be that easy, but with a sigh, she starts leaving the area, going to her workplace

Meanwhile, Nue was sitting near the bonfire, with a awkard silence over them

Tired of this silence, Nue starts a small talk

"So...how was yo-" but she gets interruped by Shion, who looks at nue with a tired expression

"Wasnt you supposed to start killing me now? You are the demon of legends afterall..." said shion with a tired and lazy tone

"WHAT NO, no, no. I may be the so called cursed demon that your people are scared off, but i am no demon who goes detroying thw world! Where did this even start?" Nue is annoyed by everyone thinking she was a demon

"Well it started when you killed the sage of six path"

"....that is in the past! So whats your name and watcha doing here anyway?" She shamelessly ignore her past deeds, starts asking about shion

"...why should i tell you? And whats the point in telling you my reasons of being here, you are going to die in some seconds anyway..." said shion, giving a threat to Nue, who turned pale after remembering her ability...

But after some seconds...

Nothing happened!

"...strange, at this moment you should've slipped, making you fall at the bonfire and burning alive in the process or anything really, but for some reason your body is rejecting the misfortune, no...something else is repeling it" shion had a puzzled look, this waa the second time someone managed to repel her powers, the first time was with Reimu and now Nue...

Nue too was confused by this, but thinking about, she thought that maybe she had a inexringuishable good luck like Tenshi, but quickly scrapped that idea after everything that happened in her new life, she attributed to the black hole she worship

But atlest now she had a chance to talk normally with shion, maybe become friend with her like Tenshi in the original touhou

"I dont know either, but i am kinda of hungry right now, want some fried fish?" Said Nue, who took two small rocks near her and transformed into fried fish already in a stick, with hot steam coming out of it and good smell

Shion gave a surprised look to Nue, almost all of gensokyo never gave her kindness after gaining her akuma genkai, but especially receiving kindness from the supposed demon was the most shocking news to her

~huh who would thought that the...this girl was actually kind~ thought shion after staring at Nue face for aome seconds

She silently and slowly took the fish from Nue hands, and took a bite out of the fish, and suddebly atarted eating like a animal, the fish was very delicious, because Nue made the fish to be the highest quality she know from her home world, it even had some sauces and other things inside or around it

Nue watched Shion eat with a warm gaze, feeling good about it, and started to eat her fish aswell

But she noted something interesting about her ability at that moment...

~didnt expect that my ability can keep being active with my energy for infinite amount of time until my energy runs out, even with all the damage she did to the fish...thank god it didnt deactivated after her first bite (;゜゜)~ Nue sweatdropped at the thought, it will ruined everything for her if that did happen

While Nue was thiking about it, Shion already finished her fish, eyeing the stick in her hand, and threw it out to the bonfire, she turned her gaze from the bonfire and took a deep look at Nue, now really paying attetion to her

Nue noticed her gaze of gratitude, turning her head, she gave a smile to Shion and said

"So what do you think of the fish? It was good?"

"Yeah, it was very good, thanks for the fish...what is your name?"

"Nue Houjuu, and your welcome!"

"Nue Houjuu...my name is Shion hakurei and the reason im here is to seal my powers even further and...to hide, my powers went haywirer, thats why im here" said Shion, giving a surprise to Nue, who kinda forgot about her question earlier and the fact that it was answered

Now looking around her, the seals all around the cave started to make sense to her, maybe she went into her super poverty god mode, making the people go have immense misfortune and bringing hate to her, making her hide here until its end her mode

Now having a chance to talk to her, she asked her main question

"Is there anyway to...eacape this place?"

~...should i tell her?~ Shion thought about what would happen if her clan discover this, they will probably call heresy on her, exiling her out of the clan and making her life hell, but thinking about her kindness...she dicided to repay her kindness, and besides, she was always hated by almost everyone there, ans will probably receive something worse in the future, so she was screwed anyway, then why not start making a change in her life?

"The entrance where people from outside can enter here...is a one-way entrance" Shion gave the grim truth to Nue

"HUH, WAIT DOESNT THAT MEAN IM TRAPPED FOREVER FOR THIS GOD FORSAKEN PLACE, I JUST WANT TO GO HOME AT THIS POINT, WHY CAnt go..." suddenly her frustation, her pain, every bad emotion she had at the moment stops again, like when she arrived at this small house

She started to look again at the blue fire, now questioning on how the fire can suddenly stop her bad emotions

Shion noticed she was affectes by the fire, she turned her gaze from Nue to the bonfire, and starts explaining

"Its not the fire itself that is making you calm, its what started the fire, the life crystal, low quality one specifically, even thought they dont have great power inside them, i consider them to have the purest form of energy, they have great effects in calming someone minds and decrease insanity, even having a minor healing effect, i alone discovered that" Shion explained the reason why Nue was so calm

Nue just now realized it, she had a insane amount of insanity inside her mind before, when she hibernated, it probably went to the crystal and when it started to end, it formed these crystal with calming effects

But thinking it further, she realized a problem...

"Wait a minute, if they are considerated to be low quality one, doesnt that mean the high one..." Nue was interrupted by Shion

"Yes...everyone in this place is going mad, there are still many people with a good mind here, but some already succumbed by it, exemple are Rumia, who caught enemies ninja and starts eating them, or Koishi who...i dont even want to talk about it. I tried warning the higher ups from the clan, but they all laughted at it, calling me the true insane there, saying that power cant come at such a cost, they minds are probably clouded by the insanity of these crystals to notice..."

After Shion said that, Nue mind went blank for a minute, because the effect on people is starting to become similar to a race in Touhou

Youkai's

The youkais in touhou are similar to humans in mind, they can have relationships with other youkais, but when comes to human, atlest half of them will try to kill them on sight, except to the true powerful human, like Reimu and Sakuya, they will act friendly

Was the population of the hakurei clan turning into youkais?

But this was not important for now to Nue, now she needed to find a way to escape, but how?

Having no other ideas, she ask Shion

"Shion...can you help me escape?" She looks at Shion with a sad and desparate face, with even some tears in the corner of her eyes

Shion hearing this, sigh and starts to give ideas to Nue

"...first thing, its obvious that you have no idea in using your powers, you cant even surpress your powers coming out of your body, if it wasnt for the seals around this place, it wouldve be full of people outside out of my door to capture you"

"Secondly, from the announcement from sekibanki heads, the output of energy in your attacks is simply random, sometimes the attacks are very weak and other times are super powerful, and the creativity and strategies of the attacks are just bad, having the ability to transform anything is just being wasted in you..." said Shion, giving a reality check to Nue on how badly she messes in her attacks

"I-its the ability of removing a identity of a object and adding a new one-" she tried to defend a little but got a interrupted by Shion

"Still the same thing but now more versatile, i cant believe that you somehow managed to defeat the sage of six path...is that even true, did you really defeated him?" Even Shion started to question history itself that almost all people of the ninja know as truth

Nue just shut up and looks down to her feet, making a very funny sad face, like a puppy who got punished

Shion just looks at Nue with a pitiful look, now discovering that Nue was probably a strange girl who suddenly gained immense powers but was caught in a massive mess, a girl that was not a demon, but just a girl having no idea of what to do

Shion sigh heavily, then continues her explanation

"Thirdly...to escape this place, there are 2 ways to escape, first is throught yukari hakurei, she has the ability of gaps, making it possible to teleport to anywhere, you could convince her to make you escape or sneak up on her to enter the gaps without her noticing you"

"The second way is...To blow up gensokyo"
