Naruto: Hatake's No Misfortune

Chapter 30: Identifying Blood

---

**"Mystical Palm Technique!"**

Yamashiro Aoba watched Muzan with a solemn expression as Muzan swiftly performed the procedure. He used a **Chakra Scalpel** to excise the infected flesh and blood before applying the **Mystical Palm Technique** to heal the wounds.

Both techniques demanded precise chakra control, and Muzan's steady hands moved smoothly, without a trace of hesitation.

After an intense period of work, Muzan managed to stabilize the critically ill patients. Their full recovery would take time, but the immediate danger had been averted.

However, the camp was critically short on medical-nin. The scarcity of medical-nin and the difficulty in training them meant the field couldn't develop as quickly as needed.

"Yamashiro-san, since there aren't enough medical-nin in the camp, we'll need to find ways to compensate. I'll document the different blood types and necessary precautions as soon as possible," Muzan said decisively.

Muzan had once acquired some of Orochimaru's notes, which included information about blood types—evidence that Orochimaru had already begun researching the subject.

Currently, Orochimaru was at the border of the Land of Wind, making it impractical to contact him quickly. Muzan had no choice but to use Orochimaru's notes to develop equipment capable of detecting blood types.

This was an enormous project that would take time to complete.

Fortunately, the war had reached a temporary lull, giving Konoha some breathing room.

"Yamashiro-san, you'll be in charge of the medical arrangements at the camp. You can request additional support from the rear."

"Our next priority is to secure steady blood supplies and provide ample bandages. Whether through medical-nin or equipment, our goal is to save as many lives as possible."

Yamashiro Aoba, overwhelmed by Muzan's rapid instructions, stood frozen for a few seconds before nodding instinctively.

Konoha had its own blood bank, but blood transfusions carried risks, so blood packs were often in limited supply.

If Muzan's theory proved correct, it could significantly reduce the number of deaths caused by massive hemorrhaging in the future.

For injured shinobi on the battlefield, the most immediate threat was often complications from severe blood loss.

"I'll arrange for the blood transportation. I hope we can build this blood-typing machine soon," Aoba responded, bowing slightly to Muzan. If Muzan succeeded, countless lives in Konoha could be saved.

Aoba, an experienced special jonin, would continue to manage the camp's medical arrangements, while Muzan focused on researching and developing the machine.

Orochimaru's notes contained methods for observing genes, but these needed modification. Precision wasn't as critical as the ability to process large quantities.

Without taking any rest, Muzan assembled and built the prototype. Once completed, Konoha could begin mass-producing the machine.

After several days, Muzan finally produced a rough prototype for blood testing.

When Yamashiro Aoba saw the machine, he was stunned, staring at it in awe. As each blood sample was tested, it was perfectly displayed and categorized.

The machine even adapted to the fast pace of the battlefield, sorting blood into different containers with minimal labor.

Upon hearing Aoba's report, Sakumo Hatake immediately recognized the machine's potential impact on the war. It could greatly reduce unnecessary casualties among the frontline shinobi. He made a swift decision.

"This machine must be delivered to Konoha immediately!"

"I'll arrange for elite jonin to escort the machine, and Muzan will return to the village at once!" Sakumo commanded.

Some components of the machine were too complex to be explained through mere instructions. With the war in a temporary lull and Kumogakure temporarily unable to launch an attack, sending back elite jonin wouldn't pose a significant problem.

Of course, this operation needed to be carried out in secrecy. Sakumo looked at Yamashiro Aoba and instructed, "Ensure no one else learns about this!"

Sakumo, determined to prevent unnecessary sacrifices, emphasized the importance of keeping the mission confidential.

"Yes, Sakumo-sama!"

Even the escorting shinobi team didn't know what they were transporting. Muzan had dismantled the machine in advance, and only he could reassemble it.

Not even news of Muzan's departure was leaked.

Anko and Mari, unaware of the mission, believed Muzan was still engrossed in his experiments. An irritated Anko fumed, eager to confront him.

"He promised me ramen, but instead he's hiding away to do experiments! What a jerk! If I see him again, I'll make him pay!"

Halfway through their journey, Muzan suddenly sneezed twice. The shinobi traveling with him suggested they stop to rest for half an hour, but Muzan refused.

"What's going on? There's no way I could catch a cold with my current body. Someone must be talking about me," Muzan thought.

They reached the village in record time. As soon as they entered, Muzan felt the weight of multiple eyes on him. With the war still ongoing, Konoha's security had been tightened even further.

Several ANBU in fox masks observed the group hurrying into the village. Their eyes widened as they recognized the elite jonin among them.

"Strange... something must have happened on the front lines. But why would elite jonin return?"

"Sakumo-sama is at the front lines. This must be an urgent mission. Let's report to the Third Hokage immediately."

ANBU operatives could meet the Hokage directly, while ordinary shinobi had to wait for notification. Realizing the gravity of the situation, they quickly awakened the Third Hokage, who dressed and made his way to his office.

In addition to the elite jonin, Yamashiro Aoba was also present.

"What happened on the front lines?" The Third Hokage asked, concern evident in his voice. He feared the worst—something catastrophic had occurred in the war.

At the same time, he wondered if Kumogakure had launched a desperate attack.

"Lord Hokage," Yamashiro Aoba began, his voice steady despite the gravity of the situation.

He carefully laid out ten sealing scrolls, each containing various parts of the machine. The Third Hokage looked puzzled, but before he could ask, Aoba spoke again.

"Most of our injured shinobi on the front lines die from excessive blood loss. This machine can distinguish blood types and greatly reduce casualties."

With that single sentence, the Third Hokage's initial confusion turned into realization.

As Konoha's leader, he understood the brutal realities of war. Many lives had been lost due to excessive bleeding.

"Is this truly possible?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of hope and disbelief.
