Naruto: Hatake's No Misfortune

"Whoop whoop!"

In the area where the base camp of Kumogakure was located, Killer Bee was happily rapping and letting himself go. Just as he was immersed in his musical dream, he suddenly got punched.

"Boom!"

"Nani?!"

When he came back to his senses and looked at A with an angry face, it seemed that his singing had once again tested his brother's patience. He was about to argue, but then heard a commotion from outside.

"Lord Killer Bee! We found traces of a Konoha ninja battle in the canyon!"

"We suspect they are elite ninjas!"

Two shinobi rushed over in a panic and reported the incident.

"Konoha ninja? I didn't expect so many of them to sneak in."

Killer Bee thought for a moment. Compared to his brother, he acted more calmly. This time they were up against Konoha. The opponent was the famous Konoha White Fang, a well-known figure in the entire ninja world.

Unexpectedly, the opponent was so cautious in their movements. The scouts they had sent earlier had likely mapped out the nearby terrain. Therefore, when moving to the battlefield, they also needed to be wary of the ninjas hiding in the stone forest.

As a result, their march was slow, and they finally stopped in a flat area for replenishment and rest.

"We must not let any Konoha ninja leave alive!"

Because of Muzan, the search in the stone forest was upgraded to a higher level.

Of course, after Muzan discovered the route of the large army, he did not go back to report to his father. The large army of Kumogakure had only a few days to reach the front line, which was of little help to Konoha's intelligence.

Under Sakumo's command, Konoha had already begun to set up a defense line. Even if the Kumogakure ninjas arrived, there would be no significant deviation.

Although the combination of A and Killer Bee was very strong, Konoha White Fang's reputation was not unfounded. If they cooperated with the supporting troops, there would be no problems in the war.

Muzan crouched down. He could sense several figures not far away. They quickly passed through the stone forest next to him, fortunately not noticing him.

Anko dropped a Konoha bracer on the ground and made an arrow, hoping Muzan would find it later.

But after they left, the bracer slipped off the stone and fell to the ground, turning into an "X"!

When Muzan returned and didn't find them, he couldn't help but feel anxious. When he saw the bracer, his eyes immediately widened.

Looking at the distance where Kumogakure's base camp was stationed, if they were taken there, it would be a big test for Muzan.

Setting off immediately, Muzan turned into a shadow in the stone forest, quickly passing through.

But he found no trace of the enemy along the way. Muzan's face grew cold. What he feared most had happened; they were taken to the base camp.

"The trouble is huge. We definitely can't rush in head-on."

Most of Muzan's strength was best utilized at night. The setting sun was almost gone, and he planned to rescue them under the cover of darkness.

Muzan also had the ability to change his body's size and control the muscles on his face to look like someone else.

When night fell, Muzan waited for a group of patrolling ninjas to pass. Because Konoha had sent out ninjas during this period, the Kumo ninjas were always on alert. Many were complaining.

"Why are these Konoha guys sneaking in like rats? The key is that we can't catch them all."

"We caught several batches today, even a few who just graduated from the Ninja Academy. It seems Konoha is in decline."

"It is indeed in decline. Letting a group of children go to the battlefield, is there really no one in Konoha?"

The patrolling ninjas chatted casually, not worried about being attacked, unaware that a pair of eyes watched them from the darkness.

"It seems Anko has been caught."

Muzan squatted, looking at the ninjas. He noticed a genin at the back who could be quietly dealt with.

Pressing his hands on the ground, thorns extended like roots. Just as the genin lowered his head, the vine snapped his neck and pulled his body into the ground.

Muzan looked at the dead genin. He wasn't sentimental. He used his hands to close the genin's eyes.

Then the skeletal muscles of his body grew rapidly, and in conjunction with the muscles of his face, in the blink of an eye, he transformed into the genin's appearance. Putting on the genin's coat and clothes, it was impossible to tell the difference with the naked eye.

The only thing that changed was the chakra content. But with no Byakugan users in Kumogakure, there was no problem.

Muzan blended into the darkness and joined the patrol team.
