Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Raging Flames and Icy Resolve

With the combined strength of Shin and Ace, moving freely through Wano wasn't difficult—especially with Kaido and his top enforcers absent. Their main challenge wasn't taking the supplies but transporting them.

Eventually, Shin, with his Munch-Munch Fruit ability, took on the role of the transport team's "Captain," literally swallowing and storing the bulk of the food they gathered. This left him temporarily transformed into a massive figure, resembling a sphere over 20 meters tall, much to his dismay.

Shin gratefully unloaded his burden after successfully stockpiling enough provisions for half a year in Amigasa Village. Despite the fruit's ability to "swallow," it wasn't a limitless storage tool—otherwise, he mused, he could've just swallowed the whole island!

As they looked to their next destination, Ace's gaze settled on the imposing silhouette of Onigashima, marked by giant skeletal remains. "Kaido's hideout should be that creepy island over there!" Ace said, clearly intrigued.

Shin followed Ace's gaze, considering the infamous "son" of Kaido, Yamato. 'If she has Kaido's bloodline, her potential must be incredible,' Shin thought. 'If I could analyze her body structure, it might boost my own.'

Shin recognized that Yamato's spirit was unconventional, much like Ace's, who was known for defying norms. But Yamato's lineage presented untapped potential that he couldn't help but find intriguing.

In a straight comparison of potential, Shin acknowledged that while his physical development lagged slightly behind Ace's, his chakra capabilities kept him formidable in combat. However, the nature of his Munch-Munch Fruit meant it wasn't as offense-focused as Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit. But Shin's vast array of ninjutsu, particularly Water Release, gave him an advantage Ace couldn't overlook.

When they finally drew close to Onigashima, Ace grew visibly excited. "Wait here—I'll scout ahead!" he called out, morphing into fire and speeding toward the island.

Shin shook his head, knowing Ace's boldness likely wouldn't end well. As he watched, an explosion erupted on the island, shattering a colossal dragon statue. Shin snickered, imagining Kaido's outrage if he'd been present to witness Ace's destruction.

As the Spade Pirates' ship neared the island, the distinct sounds of battle reached them. Shin sensed a powerful Conqueror's Haki flare, crashing into another unfamiliar aura. The clash was intense enough to churn the clouds above.

"That second presence must be Yamato," Shin murmured. "Though they're not at a level to split the sky, they're close to touching the threshold of top-tier fighters."

Under the pressure of both Yamato's and Ace's Conqueror's Haki, the Spade Pirates held their ground, albeit uncomfortably. As a small but well-trained crew, they were resilient compared to typical pirates, and the Conqueror's Haki impact was bearable. However, Shin noticed their struggle intensifying as they drew closer to Onigashima.

"You all stay here until the fight's over," Shin instructed. With that, he leaped off the ship, swiftly running across the sea towards Onigashima.

Left behind, the Spade Pirates exchanged wary glances. They had long accepted their lesser strength beside Ace and Shin, but seeing them progress so rapidly left an uneasy feeling of stagnation within the crew. Despite their hard work, they could only watch as Ace and Shin soared beyond their reach.

When Shin reached Onigashima, he found Yamato and Ace locked in an intense duel, their attacks flaring in brilliant displays. The impact of their strikes filled the air, reverberating across the battlefield.

As the two combatants finally paused, Yamato and Ace stood across from each other, both panting but clearly exhilarated.

Ace, bracing himself, called out, "You must be Kaido, captain of the Beast Pirates, right?"

Shin slapped his forehead in disbelief. 'Come on, Ace, how are you this dense? Aside from her horns, Yamato looks nothing like Kaido. She's obviously a young woman!'

"I'm not Kaido!" Yamato retorted indignantly. "I'm Kozuki Oden of Wano!"

Shin stifled a chuckle. While Yamato certainly had the appearance of a normal girl, her choice of words reflected her unique personality.

"Kozuki Oden?" Ace repeated, tilting his head. "Isn't that the former daimyo of Wano? I thought Kaido killed him."

Before arriving in Wano, Ace hadn't known much about Kozuki Oden. However, his time in Amigasa Village had taught him about Wano's revered hero. Oden's bold, adventurous spirit resonated deeply with Ace's pirate ideals, sparking admiration.
