Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 20: Chapter 20: A Fierce Showdown

With a loud bang, Shin felt an overwhelming force push against him, and a sharp pain surged through his fist.

Dalmatian, however, didn't press his advantage. Instead, he grimaced, his entire right hand trembling as blood seeped from his fist.

That punch had indeed sent Shin flying, but it seemed Dalmatian was the one genuinely suffering. Shin had been prepared; he'd infused chakra metal into the metallic spurs on his fist, making the spikes drill-like in their piercing effect. They cut through Dalmatian's hardened Haki-coated arm and punctured his entire palm.

Having been thrown to the ground, Shin rose, shaking off the soreness in his arm. While the blow seemed harsh, he was mostly unscathed.

"Devil Fruit user, huh? Some kind of metal fruit?" Dalmatian asked, eyeing Shin's metallic glint under the sunlight.

"Take a guess," Shin replied with a smirk.

Shin wasn't about to reveal his abilities, having learned in the shinobi world that information was as precious as life itself.

"Hmph, a sly pirate," Dalmatian muttered, readying himself for the next move. But before he could act, Shin's hands flashed through several seals.

"Water Style: Water Clone."

Immediately, two clones materialized beside him. Dalmatian was taken aback, clearly uncertain of Shin's true abilities. Metal and clones? Even for a Devil Fruit user, this array of powers seemed improbable.

But Dalmatian was an old-school Marine; he relied more on his strength and skill than Devil Fruits. To him, battle prowess was about physical strength and mastery of Haki. As long as his fists were strong enough and his instincts sharp, he believed he could handle any "fancy" ability thrown his way.

Dalmatian's approach would usually serve him well—if his Haki were up to the challenge. Today, however, it wasn't.

One of Shin's water clones charged forward, and Dalmatian paid it no mind, delivering a punch that shattered the clone into water.

As seawater splashed onto Dalmatian, he momentarily weakened, his body going limp. Usually, a Devil Fruit user wouldn't suffer just from a splash, but this was seawater. The effect would wear off in seconds, yet even a brief vulnerability could be fatal in combat.

Shin took full advantage of those precious seconds, rushing forward to strike.

A splatter of blood marked the impact as Shin's metal-enforced fist drove spiked knuckles into Dalmatian's side, creating puncture wounds along his body.

Dalmatian roared, ignoring his injuries, and managed to land a punch on Shin's head. Shin's iron-hard skull was still susceptible to Haki-infused blows, and blood trickled down his face.

In that instant, another water clone emerged behind Shin, launching itself at Dalmatian.

Dalmatian's eyes widened. Just as he realized his mistake, seawater splashed over him again, stripping him of his strength. He barely registered Shin's bloodied but determined smile before the world went dark as Shin's fist came crashing into his face.

"Well, that's one way to bring down a Vice Admiral," Shin muttered, pressing a hand to his throbbing head. "If I hadn't reinforced my body beforehand, that punch might've knocked me out."

Reflecting on the battle, Shin mused, "These Vice Admirals might not have the varied techniques of a Kage-level shinobi, but their raw strength and endurance are leagues beyond what I'm used to."

Indeed, this world's combatants seemed like unstoppable juggernauts compared to the agile but fragile fighters of the shinobi world. But while Naruto World had powerful entities appearing sporadically over centuries, the Pirate World had many high-caliber fighters actively challenging one another.

His thoughts were interrupted when he glanced over and saw Ace, his potential igniting, delivering a final, decisive blow to another Vice Admiral.

"As expected from the guy who practically levels up after every fight," Shin thought, eyeing Ace with a touch of envy. Ace's innate strength and potential far exceeded his own.

In Naruto World, Shin only had average talent. Despite his enhanced physique from the Munch-Munch Fruit, he was hardly a natural prodigy even in this world.

Although he'd triumphed over Dalmatian, it had required strategy and cunning rather than sheer strength. He still had a long way to go compared to someone like Ace.

But seeing the wounds on Ace's body, Shin allowed himself a small, knowing smile. "It won't be long until I can match, and even surpass, the Pirate World's finest."
