Chapter 86: Chapter 84: Establishing a New Konoha!

Chapter 84: Establishing a New Konoha!

Tsunade and Jiraiya carefully listened to the intelligence provided by Orochimaru.

After analyzing it, they were shocked to realize that the Uchiha who destroyed Konoha, known as "Ah Huo," had grown to such a terrifying level in just a few months since joining the Akatsuki.

This rapid growth rate was enough to inspire fear.

What made it worse was that such a person had become their enemy, leaving both of them feeling utterly powerless.

"It seems Orochimaru's suggestion to let go of vengeance was the right call," Tsunade said bitterly, taking a sip of sake.

"And what about you, Jiraiya?" Orochimaru asked, his sharp eyes scrutinizing Jiraiya's unusually quiet demeanor.

"Do you remember the rumors that suddenly spread across the entire shinobi world?" Jiraiya finally spoke after a moment of silence.

"You mean the Sage of Six Paths' legendary treasure?" Tsunade scoffed. "That's ridiculous! If something like that really existed, I would've heard of it."

"No," Orochimaru interjected. "At first, I thought it was absurd too. But now, it seems plausible.

"Otherwise, how do you explain someone growing so powerful in such a short time?

"Even among the Uchiha, awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan wouldn't be enough to destroy Konoha so effortlessly."

Orochimaru's analysis made Tsunade and Jiraiya fall into deep thought.

While the idea seemed fantastical, sometimes the most unbelievable events had a certain logic behind them.

"Even if this 'treasure' exists, it doesn't mean we can get our hands on it," Jiraiya said dejectedly, recalling the devastating power of Uchiha Yi's God Fire Tensei, which had burned Konoha to the ground.

"I'm not suggesting we steal or seize it," Orochimaru clarified. "But we need to investigate what exactly this treasure is.

"Only then can we identify a path to becoming stronger.

"If we don't, our lives will always be at the mercy of others."

Hearing this, Jiraiya's expression relaxed slightly, and the oppressive weight on his shoulders seemed to lift.

"Alright, I'll do my best to investigate," he agreed.

"I'll help too," Tsunade added.

"You'll stay here," Orochimaru interrupted, shaking his head. "Your priority is to care for the survivors of Konoha.

"Starting today, you are the Fifth Hokage."

"I…" Tsunade hesitated, but Jiraiya quickly voiced his support.

"Tsunade, out of the three of us, you're the most suitable to become the Fifth Hokage." Jiraiya forced a small smile despite his lingering grief.

"And you don't need to worry about that Uchiha coming after us," Orochimaru reassured her.

"From what I've observed, his grudge was only against Hiruzen Sarutobi and the clans aligned with him.

"Konoha's destruction was just collateral damage.

"As long as we rebuild Konoha in Otogakure, it's unlikely he'll come looking for trouble."

Hearing this, Tsunade's last reservations faded.

"Fine," she said resolutely. "If you all insist, then from now on, I'll take on the role of Fifth Hokage."

Despite the tragedies they had endured, this moment brought a fleeting sense of unity between the three former teammates, rekindling memories of their trust and camaraderie from years past.

The Next Day.

A shocking announcement spread across the shinobi world:

The legendary Sannin had joined forces once more to rebuild Konoha in Otogakure, which was officially renamed Konoha.

This news sent ripples of astonishment throughout the lands.

Many wondered if the remnants of Konoha were brave or foolish to rebuild so boldly.

Were they not afraid of the mysterious figure who had obliterated the original Konoha returning to "visit" the new one?

At first, no one dared to approach the new village.

Having suffered devastating losses during the destruction of the original Konoha, none of the other villages were eager to risk a repeat.

But as time passed and the new Konoha remained unscathed, doubts began to creep into their minds.

Was the original Konoha's destruction truly an act of vengeance, or was it merely an unfortunate natural disaster?

Slowly but surely, some began dispatching agents to establish contact with the new Konoha, hoping to learn more about the enigmatic figure behind the old village's demise.

Amegakure, Akatsuki Base.

Having dealt with the Box of Ultimate Bliss and rescuing a little girl from Kusagakure, Uchiha Yi received news of an Akatsuki meeting called by Pain.

By the time he arrived, most of the members had already gathered.

As Uchiha Yi entered, his striking appearance drew the attention of everyone in the room.

"Who's this pretty boy? Did he wander into the wrong place?" Their confused expressions were impossible to miss.

Smiling faintly, Uchiha Yi introduced himself.

"Hello, everyone. I'm the new recruit, Ah Yan. I'll be interning here, so please take care of me."

This identity had been arranged between Uchiha Yi and Pain beforehand.

With his vengeance complete, the name "Ah Huo" was no longer needed.

After all, the destruction of Konoha was such a monumental act that it would inevitably draw attention and investigation.

While Uchiha Yi didn't fear scrutiny, he preferred to avoid unnecessary complications.

"Now then," Pain began, his voice as cold and commanding as ever.

"Orochimaru has reappeared, currently residing in the former Otogakure.

"Hidan, Kakuzu, Kisame, and Itachi, go kill him."

Pain's orders were direct and left no room for debate.

"Understood," the assigned members responded in unison.

Meanwhile, Sasori, Deidara, Uchiha Yi, Pain, and Konan stayed behind to hold the fort.

With Uchiha Yi having brought the Hyuga clan into Amegakure, Pain wanted to ensure nothing went wrong.

As such, he and Konan remained to oversee the situation personally.
