Chapter 4: Collecting Soul Points on the Night of the Uchiha Massacre

Chapter 4: Collecting Soul Points on the Night of the Uchiha Massacre

---

Following the Uchiha Massacre, the Shinobi World is set to experience a brief period of peace.

Essentially, there will be no large-scale wars or widespread deaths for some time.

This means that without any deaths, there will be no influx of Soul Points.

As a result, my progress in strength will inevitably slow to a crawl!

At this rate, facing future dangers with my current power would be utterly insufficient!

Right now, the Uchiha massacre will generate a huge amount of Soul Points. Letting this opportunity slip away would be a tremendous waste.

Sure, it feels a bit shameful to profit from such tragedy, but in this dog-eat-dog world, what's the point of being reserved?

Over the past month, I've mentally prepared myself for everything the future may throw at me.

Even though I was just an ordinary college student in my previous life—someone who hadn't even killed a chicken—if I need to pick up a blade and become an executioner, I'll do so without hesitation!

In the world of Naruto, survival isn't a luxury. It's a necessity.

The night was dark, and silence shrouded the outside world.

Not even the usual chirping of insects or the occasional cry of a bird could be heard.

Yet amidst this suffocating quiet, footsteps echoed clearly across the wooden steps outside my door.

Tap, tap, tap...

Tch!

Everyone else in the vicinity has already been slaughtered—it's finally my turn, huh?

Disgusting traitor!

Though I can't say I feel any strong attachment to the Uchiha Clan as a transmigrator, it's hard not to be repulsed by Itachi Uchiha and his twisted sense of righteousness.

How does someone justify such vile and despicable actions?

Forget it. It's better to avoid confrontation for now.

The two fire-based abilities granted by my Fire Release System give me some tools for survival, but my body's physical strength, chakra reserves, and combat instincts remain as weak as ever.

Activating these abilities drains either stamina or chakra. Considering my current level, I wouldn't last long against Itachi Uchiha.

Add to that the lurking threats of Hiruzen Sarutobi, Danzo Shimura, the ANBU, Root, Obito Uchiha, and even Black Zetsu.

And who knows if other ninja clans within Konoha have also joined in?

In this cursed village, practically everything and everyone is out to get you!

The sheer number of enemies is overwhelming, and I'm nowhere near strong enough to face them all right now.

"Fire Entry!"

My thoughts raced as I made a snap decision. Stretching out my hand, I touched the flame of a candle and whispered the incantation.

The next moment, my entire body vanished into the flickering flame!

Seconds later, a figure drenched in blood appeared in the now-empty room.

Itachi's sharp gaze swept across the room, a trace of confusion flickering in his crimson Sharingan.

He could sense someone had been here just moments ago—so why had they vanished so suddenly?

There were only two possibilities:

The person possessed a space-time jutsu that allowed them to leave instantly.

Obito Uchiha might've intervened using his Kamui ability.

But both seemed highly unlikely. Everyone knew Uchiha Enji (my alias in this world) was the clan's biggest weakling, someone who hadn't even awakened his Sharingan.

Could it really be that masked man's doing?

Either way, Itachi didn't want to waste more time here. Still, just to be safe, he activated his Sharingan's advanced observation abilities, meticulously scanning every corner of the room for anything suspicious.

Meanwhile, hidden within the flame, I quietly observed Itachi's actions, a smirk tugging at my lips.

If only I were stronger—how I'd love to shame this "prodigal son" in front of the entire clan!

The real reason I stayed instead of fleeing outright was to test Fire Travel Jutsu's effectiveness.

Would Itachi be able to detect me within the flames?

Judging by his puzzled demeanor, the answer was a resounding no.

It seems this technique is far more reliable than I initially thought.

If even Itachi—one of the most skilled shinobi alive—can't detect me, then most ninja in this world won't be able to either.

"Heh, maybe it's time for me to get a little more daring..."

Konoha has so many valuable treasures just lying around, after all...

As Itachi began his massacre, it seemed Danzo Shimura couldn't resist meddling.

Frustrated by Itachi's slower-than-expected progress, Danzo mobilized his Root agents, commanding them to slaughter every last member of the Uchiha Clan.

And so, with mechanical precision, Danzo's loyal followers became ruthless killing machines, breaking into every Uchiha household.

Elders, women, children—even newborn infants—no one was spared.

Blood curdling screams filled the air, mingled with desperate pleas and futile cries for mercy.

"Why?!"

"What have we done to deserve this?!"

"After all we've sacrificed for Konoha, this is how you repay us?!"

The Uchiha Clan, co-founders of the Hidden Leaf Village, had fought valiantly in countless wars. Yet their reward was annihilation.

Their voices echoed with despair and rage:

Konoha, may you burn in hell!

If ghosts truly exist, there's no doubt the souls of the Uchiha Clan would rise as vengeful spirits, ready to destroy Konoha from within.

But the cold-blooded assassins paid no heed to the cries of their victims. Trained to suppress all emotion, they moved like unfeeling shadows, carrying out Danzo's will without hesitation.

Hiding within flames and witnessing the carnage unfold, my entire body trembled—not from fear, but from rage.

It wasn't the sight of death that shook me. I'd seen enough gruesome accidents in my previous life to be desensitized to gore.

What horrified me was the sheer indifference, the cruelty of this world.

This world is irredeemable.

Its very existence is a disease.

If I am to survive here, I'll do more than adapt. I'll conquer it.

Either I'll remake this world in my image...

Or I'll burn it to ashes.
