START

As I pushed my feet with full force, I sprinted as quickly as possible to finish the fifteen laps. I know it's better to start steadily and then build your speed gradually, but this Is only fifteen laps and the track is fairly small. But I wasn't the only one who thought of that some were already ahead of me and some started jogging steadily.

It's a good tactic, but they forget we have monsters like Liam and azerth who can constantly sprint at maximum speed for fiveteen laps without breaking a sweat. And they are not the only ones. They are not the only ones there are a few students who can do the same.

As I past the third lap, I already felt my legs getting heavy and slowing me down. I looked ahead. I still had azerth in my view, that means that I'm not that far behind. But I also saw many students still around.

This is going to be a nightmare. If the other students don't fall or stop, then I will lose. I know that I'm not the fastest or have alot of stamina. The only way I could ever possibly get fourth is by sprinting at maximum output, but that it'd be impossible.

That means I'll never win this race. As I paced the fourth lap, I was already dragging my feet. I can't do it. I can see the other students passing me. They are not even out of breath. Is this how far behind I am? I actually thought that I could stand toe to toe with Helena, Liam and Azerth.

How naive I was. I gasped for air because I was getting out of breath, I felt my whole body sweating profusely, I felt my legs screaming in pain. I looked as the at the final passed me. I'm last like always.

What a weakling I am. I'm as pathetic as I was that day. What can I do!? Why am I even here!?What is the point of winning? I know that Azerth and the others will win?

'You're a pathetic loser. That's why no one can stand you. When someone sees you, they know your weak you's why you always looked down up on, everyone around you ares you, but you know that, you want to be pityed, you want to be carried like a bitch,. You girls around you fight for you, I know, and you know that you are nothing.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?! By yourself, when your friends find out that you're just a pathetic loser, they will leave you behind while they bathe in glory and victory. There's only one way you can win, and that's by letting go of your damned feelings and weakness. That's how you survive, THAT'S HOW YOU WIN!'

I stopped in the middle of the track and stared at nothingness. You are right. I closed my eyes and let go of restraining myself. I felt myself scorching with fury. I narrowed my eyes down, and I felt my eyes slanting.

I started to steadily run but then I took off as I was a wild beast on all fours. I couldn't hear or see clearly, but I did notice that I was passing some of the students. I could only think of one thing and that was winning.

I need to win. I have to win, I will win. Before I knew it, I could see myself catching up with the top five. I felt evert part of my body in pain. My arms felt like they were going to tear my muscles and as I was propelling myself with full strength with both of my legs, I felt the muscles in my legs tearing and bleeding. This was all painful, but I was clouded by anger which nulled the pain.

As I passed my fourteenth lap I felt myself getting slower. That's natural, your body can only take you as far as it can before it starts to get tired. I only needed to pass the brown spiked hair boy.

I know him. He's the boyfriend of that pink-haired girl. Everyone knows that he's only a cheap nock off of azerth. That's why the pink-haired girl accepted his confession.

I needed to win. I know I was running out of steam. I needed to get him off the track. I have to do thing possible to get rid of him, even if it is evil or vile.

I caught up to the spike-haired boy and said" I know you are the boy that, wheeze, that the pink-haired girl was dating. Whizzeeze".

He looked down with a sweat and exhausted face and said" Why do you care about that right now, we are in the middle of the race?"

"Because I'm the one who beat her to a pulp" I said with a sadistic smile with my slanty eyes.

He looked at me shocked, and furiously. His green eyes now looked like they were angry." What did you say to you? ahhh. Before he could finish what he was saying, he lost focus, and he tried a rock and fell.

That's what you get for not paying attention. As I was nearing the finish, I dashed with my full strength. Finally, I'm here. I dropped on the ground and lay them hugging the floor.

As I was lying there, I was picked up by my shirt and turned around up. I looked up and the spike haired boy looked at me angry and was about to punch me, not before Liam stopped stopped his fist stopped.

"What do you think your doing to my friend? I know you lost but you shouldn't go this far" said Liam angry?

The spike-haired boy pulled his hand away from Liam and said" that's not the reason, he said that he was the one that beat up Kelly".

Liam looked at the boy and said" No he didn't, you're just trying to make an excuse to try and beat him up."

"No, he is right, I did say that" I said.

"See I told you!" said the spike-haired boy with anger.

"But I said that because I knew that he would lose focus and tried, I said it to win". I said, lying through my teeth.

Liam looked at me with complicated eyes and said" I know you only said that to win, but I think you went too far."

The boy with the spiked hair let go of my tee shirt and stared at me with annoyance." That wasn't funny, don't ever do that again or next time I won't hold back" he said, threatening me.

I mustered strength to pick myself to look at the spike-haired boy and said" maybe I did go Maybe far, but I won, because of that, I'm the winner and you the loser. I don't care how you feel, and I will do what I must win."

I stared dead into the boy's eyes, not fearing his threat." I stared right back at me with him an angry face and said, when did you become so cocky and high and mighty loket"

I approached near his face and said" since I won against you". I looked at his face which was full of veins and his eyes which were full of hatred. He stepped back and swang at me, but this idiot didn't know that he was too close to me. I stepped forward, narrowly dodging the punch and headbutted the spike-haired boy.

He landed on his ass, is tired down at him ready to smash his face with My tired and sore arms. But Liam stopped me and said" that's enough, both of you!"

Because Liam of the noise approached us and asked" What's going on here and why? And why is Vin on the floor?"

I stepped back and walked away from everyone, not before saying to Azerth" some people just can't take a loss".

I walked towards Helena and Allison, who were standing perfectly fine without any signs of exhaustion. These girls are truly beasts. Just imaging them fighting the other makes me feel bad for them.

"What was going over there with you and Vin" asked Allison.

"Nothing, just a little misunderstanding" I said, trying to avoid talking about it.

"Well it didn't sound like that to me, it sounded like you headbutted the bin onto the floor" said Helena.

Does she have super hearing or something, "Sigh, fine, we got into a fight because I might have lied that I beat up Kelly, which I did during the race, which made Vin angry and when he found out,, he threatened me to not do it again, which then I got angry, then I then him, about how he is a loser and then he tried to swing at me but because he was full of anger he punches missed me which than I saw an opportunity to headbutt him. There, that's what happened" I said in one go.

Both girls tried to process what I said and then they looked at me and said" you idiot!"

"Why would you go and do that?!" Said Allison while she punched me on top of my head.

I grabbed the top of my head which had a bump on it and said" owww that hurt"

"It was supposed to be. Why would you do something like that," asked Allison.

"Well I thought that to beat vin I had to do something, or I'd lose." I said while crying because of the massive bump on my head.

"You could have done it a better another way, you could beat him without saying that" said Helena.

"But I'm not strong or fast like you guys. I thought that was the only way for me to win" I said solemnly.

They both looked at my shaking legs and arms. They saw some blood coming through my sandals.

"How far did you go, just to win" asked Helena, who was concerned.

"Well alot, I can't even feel my arms or legs. Actually, the only reason I'm not screaming in pain right now is because of the adrenaline I'm getting, but don't worry, I can still fight" I said while I gave a thump.

Allison and Helena's face twitched and they both looked at me like I was an idiot. Allison grabbed my sore hand while Helena followed the suite.

"Where are you dragging me? " I asked, scared as to where I was being dragged to.

"To himeko sensei, so he can take you to the nurses' office" he said

"Wait if you take me to him, then he will not let me participate in the main fight" I said.

She ignored my pleas to stop. I turned to Helena to help me, but she said no. When they told Himeko sensei about my condition, he took me to the nurses' office to check if I was alright to participate in the fight.

I and himeko sensei entered the nurse's office and a young lady in her twenties sat on her stool. She had short brown hair and a beautiful face that looked mature. She wore a white nurse outfit which made her look sexy.

She told me to lay down on one of the beds. As she examined me she said" he has, over extered hus leg and arm muscles he won't even be able to walk for tweeks at least" she said

"It looks like you won't be able to participate, lie here and rest here for a while" said himeko sensei. He walked out while I was angry because of the pointless effort I put in.

"Why are you angry? Is it because you can't participate?" Said the nurse.

I looked at her chocolate brown eyes and said" of course, I am I pushed myself to the limit to fight in the main event but all I got, In return is nothing" was said, gripping my fist.

"Is there a prize for the first place winner is that why you went that far to even tear your muscles in your legs?" asked the nurse.

"No, there was no first place prize" I said.

"I assume that the class that wins will get chosen to go to the hidden sand village, so what is they to worry about? Do you trust your friends to win" she said?

"Of course, but it was a personal goal, I just didn't want to lose again," I said.

She walked up to me and gave me a pill.

"What is this" I asked.

"It's a painkiller, it will help null the pain" she said while giving me a glass of water.

"Will I be able to fight now?" I asked.

"No, of course not, but it can help with the pain which can let you fight for a few minutes. But you will feel the after affects when the pain-killer runs out. For now the rest of the other class still has to do the race before the fighting starts." She said while going back to work.

I lay on the bed for about a few minutes before azerth and Liam came to see me. "Wow, I have never seen anyone get hurt when they are racing", liam said, making fun of me.

"Shut up you monkey" I said in annoyance.

"The matches will start soon" said Azerth

"Do you know who will replace me?" I asked.

"No, we thought of adding vin, but he ran off in anger saying that he will get you for this" said Azerth.

"Yeah, I thought he would still be angry. Anyway, how are you going to deal with Helena's sister and your brother", I asked Azeth about the plan.

"We will do what Allison said. Allison will try to catch Helena's sister by surprise with her techniques and Liam will tire and weaken my brother, so I can finish him" said Azerth.

It was a good plan but that all depended on whether Allison could beat Helena's sister and Liam and Azerth being able to be strong enough to beat Azer's brother. If Azerth was able to use ninjustu, then he would have won because he couldn't use his B rank jutsu, he falls short of his brother in any thing else.

"Azerth, Liam himko sensei said, The matches will start soon" the Helena walked into the nurses' office to inform us.

"Alright,let's go then" said Liam enthusiastically.

I looked at Azerth and said" you had better win."

Azerth looked down trying to find his voice and answer me, but it was Liam who said

"Of course we will count on us"

They soon left, leaving me there alone with the nurse. I heard the echos of the screaming crowd traveling through the corridors. After what seemed like 3 minutes, I felt anxious about who was fighting and who was winning.

I soon heard people in the corridor running at a fast pace, their step got loud and louder and then the side doors opened up, reveling azerth and Liam carrying Helena with himeko sensei at his back.

"Nurse, please help" himeko sensei said.

The nurse quickly asked Liam and Azerth to place Helena in the bed next. Then" place her on the bed, quickly". Soon, Allison arrived rushing near, Helena besides. She grabbed her hand to keep her close.

The nurse examined her body looking for signs of injuries, but she asked Himeko Sensei first to understand what was wrong with her" What happened to her."

"She was caught in a C rank genjutsu". himeko said

"What? How could an academy student even use that." the nurse was in shock that a student already used a strong jutsu like that?

The nurse quickly placed her hand over Helena's head, emitting a green hue out of her hands. Soon Helena's face, which looked in pain, now looked calm and at rest.

"Is she going to be alright" asked Allison, concerned about his friend.

" Yes, she just needs a bit of rest, she's mentally fatigued" she said,. making our worries go away.

I stood up and looked towards Azerth and asked" what the hell happened?" I asked angrily.

Azerth looked at me and said" the first fight was Helena and her sister. We thought that we could pick our fights, but the sense is announced that the fights would be randomize. As soon as the fight started they were both shouting at each other after that they fought but than Helena stopped in the middle of the fight clutching her head and screaming not before falling on the ground" siad azerth

I looked down at the now frail Helena. What could she have seen to be knocked out like that?

"Sensei said that she used a c rank jutsu. Ca you tell me what it is?" I asked.

"Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell. This genjutsu was originally a D rank jutsu but the power and control it had over the mind was strong as a C rank jutsu. Hallin, Helena's sister, has somehow found how to improve the jutsu to C rank." Said himeko sensei.

If I recall Himeko sensei's genjutsu lesson, then that jutsu allows the user to make the victim see horrific traumatic stuff that happened to them, but as himeko sensei said, this jutsu was amplified and has more power than the ordinary Demonic Illusion. It must have been hard to even break out of it. I stared at Helena's face, which was peaceful now, but before it was full of pain with tears streaming down her eyes.

I looked at sensei and asked" sensei participate, I'm all fine now."

Sensei looked at me and then looked at the nurse. I stared at th nurse with anticipation. "He can fight but only for one round" she said while smiling at me.

"If it's alright with the nurse, then it's alright with me, but look you will have to fight Kenny whose way ahead of you in anything" said at himeko.

"I'm alright with that" I said, full of resolve.

I then placed my hand onto Liam's and Azeth's shoulder and said" Let's go and bear your brother and his sister. To make Helena happy knowing that we beat them to a pulp"

"I like the way you think, Brother", Liam said excitedly dpping me up.

I looked at Azerth who looked down, trying to decide what to do and say. He was scared of facing his brother. He couldn't beat his brother. It's only up to me, Liam and Allison to beat the four fighters.

We then stepped out of the academy and headed towards the field where Azerth brother was standing in the middle of the circle.

I approached, but he spoke first, saying" What does that weakling need all four of you there to support her?"

Hallie, who was behind Kenny, said" Of course she does, she's a weakling. What can you expect from a little short, powerless girl that only knows how to cry."

Allison was about to launch at her, but I placed my hand in front of her.

I got right into Kenny's face, and he asked" So are you my opponent? Are you quite cocky for a weakling who got hurt because of running."

I stared into his eyes' for quite a few seconds. I felt my anger boil to the max. I looked at both of them and I knew that they both planned this together, they deliberately hurt Helena.

I looked at Hallie and said" Helena will recover from a weak genjutsu like that. But she should have told me that she had a sister who is an ugly pig that only gets off on people's suffering."

"What did you say, you little punk!" She screamed at me.

She got into my face trying to intimidate me, but I could see through that strong persona she puts on, under it, she was a fragile, weak little girl who only pocks on those that she csn torment. I looked her right in the eyes and said" I'll make sure you feel the pain that I'm going to inflict on you forever", I said, with my eyes narrowing and my eyes slanting.

"Oh boy threaten, don't let him get to you. Hallie" said Kenny.

I stepped forward, moving away from them while saying" No, this isn't a threat or a promise. This is me telling you straight up I'm going to make you suffer for making Helena cry."

Me and the others walked towards our side line waiting for the senses instructions.
