Chapter 102: Resolving Chaos Swiftly

A few minutes earlier.

Konoha Hospital.

Kushina Uzumaki was in labor.

Knowing that a jinchūriki's seal weakens during childbirth, Konoha had made extensive preparations to ensure her safety. Around the hospital, Anbu under Hiruzen Sarutobi were stationed, vigilantly watching every corner.

However, all of this was meaningless to Uchiha Obito.

With both Kamui abilities at his disposal, he easily eliminated most of the guards and stormed into the hospital. There, he abducted the newborn Naruto Uzumaki.

Using Naruto as bait, Obito executed a diversionary tactic and, under Minato Namikaze's watchful eyes, succeeded in kidnapping Kushina Uzumaki.

From there, using techniques taught by Uchiha Madara, Obito forcibly summoned the Nine-Tails and used his Mangekyō Sharingan to control the beast, unleashing it upon Konoha.

The once peaceful village descended into pandemonium. The air was filled with children's cries, adults' screams, and the agonized wails of the injured.

Both shinobi and civilians looked upon the colossal Nine-Tails with a mixture of fear and seething hatred.

"Quick, this way!"

A chūnin shouted as he directed panicked villagers toward a shelter. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the rubble nearby.

The figure brushed off the debris and muttered, "Collapsed walls?"

The chūnin quickly raised a kunai in defense, eyeing the stranger warily. "Who are you?"

The man, Baishi, didn't reply. He merely glanced at the chūnin, then shifted his gaze toward the rampaging Nine-Tails in the distance.

Without a word, the chūnin hurled the kunai toward Baishi.

With a casual wave of his hand, Baishi deflected the kunai as if swatting away a fly, sending it clattering to the ground.

"What…?"

The chūnin was stunned, readying himself to attack again, but Baishi had already vanished.

"Hold the line! Don't let it advance!"

"Watch the left flank!"

"Careful, Jiro!"

"Arghhh!"

"Damn it!"

Near the Nine-Tails, dozens of jōnin desperately engaged the beast. But their efforts were futile. They were merely stalling for time, hoping for either the Third Hokage or Minato to arrive and take command.

Just as despair began to grip the defenders, a commanding voice rang out:

"Summoning: Toad Shop Crush!"

A colossal green-skinned toad landed on top of the Nine-Tails, pinning it momentarily.

"Well done, Gamaken!"

The voice belonged to Jiraiya, who leaped onto a nearby rooftop.

"Jiraiya-sama! Jiraiya-sama is here!"

The previously despondent shinobi cheered, their spirits lifting at the sight of one of the Sannin.

The Nine-Tails roared furiously, struggling to free itself from Gamaken's weight. Though its mind was clouded by Obito's control, its instincts remained razor-sharp and relentless.

Sensing the Nine-Tails' resistance, Gamaken cried out, "Hurry, Jiraiya!"

Without hesitation, Jiraiya leaped down from the rooftop, completing a series of hand seals mid-air. Landing, he slammed his palms to the ground, channeling chakra.

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"

The ground beneath the Nine-Tails transformed into a massive swamp, momentarily immobilizing the beast.

Jiraiya followed up with Fire Release: Big Flame Bullet, while Gamaken jumped clear of the Nine-Tails.

The fire jutsu struck the Nine-Tails head-on, eliciting a pained roar and provoking its fury. The beast lashed out, slamming its nine tails into the ground.

The resulting shockwave toppled buildings and sent shinobi scrambling for cover.

Just as the Nine-Tails broke free from the swamp, a massive wooden dragon emerged from the ground, coiling around the beast and binding it tightly.

"Is that… Wood Release?!"

The Konoha shinobi were stunned. They had heard rumors of someone in the village possessing the First Hokage's legendary Wood Release but hadn't witnessed it firsthand—until now.

For Jiraiya and a few others privy to the truth, however, their expressions darkened.

Ignoring their reactions, Baishi concentrated on controlling the wooden dragon. The dragon drained the Nine-Tails' chakra, growing sturdier with each passing moment, further constricting the beast.

In just a few seconds, the Nine-Tails roared in pain, but its struggles only intensified.

Opening its jaws wide, the beast began forming a Tailed Beast Ball. Blue and purple-black chakra spheres condensed and merged into a dense, ominous orb.

"Tailed Beast Bomb!"

Jiraiya's face paled as he frantically searched for a way to intervene.

Before he could act, a massive wooden golem rose from the ground, intercepting the Tailed Beast Bomb. The golem caught the attack in its hands, absorbing much of the explosive force.

Gritting his teeth, Baishi manipulated the golem to redirect the Tailed Beast Bomb back toward the Nine-Tails.

BOOM!

The explosion illuminated the night sky, briefly turning it into daylight. The deafening blast left many shinobi temporarily stunned.

When the light faded, the Nine-Tails' anguished howls echoed across the battlefield.

Baishi, unfazed, knew he couldn't afford to delay any longer. The commotion was bound to draw Obito's attention. If Minato failed to keep him occupied and Obito re-summoned the Nine-Tails, Baishi's efforts would be for naught.

"It's time to end this," Baishi resolved.

Inside the wooden golem, Baishi formed a series of hand seals, activating Koku'anjo-no-Jutsu. The golem's massive hand descended upon the Nine-Tails, its palm marked with the kanji for "sit."

The powerful genjutsu dispelled the Sharingan's control over the Nine-Tails, plunging the beast into a deep slumber.

Without wasting a moment, Baishi emerged from the golem and performed the Four Symbols Seal.

Black sealing marks spread across the Nine-Tails' body, and a powerful suction force began pulling the beast into Baishi's own body.

Realizing what was happening, the Nine-Tails let out a furious roar, thrashing in defiance. But it was no use.

In mere moments, the beast was sealed, its massive form vanishing.

Baishi now bore the burden of being the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki.

The moment the sealing was complete, the beast's enraged voice echoed in his mind:

"Wretched brat! I'll devour you—"

Baishi smirked coldly, cutting off the Nine-Tails' rant.

Sensing a spatial distortion behind him, Baishi wasted no time and activated Flying Thunder God, disappearing in an instant.
