Chapter 7: Chapter 7 The Hokage
Hiruzen furrowed his brows as he sighed enigmatically as the anbu presented the corpses before him "How could this happen? He was a Jōnin and yet he is in such a condition… we can't even extract any memories since all of the corpses heads are destroyed." However the anbu captain interjected "Lord Hokage, one corpse had its head intact." The anbu then summoned the corpse before Hiruzen as he analysed "Such a clean cut… One of the seven swordsmen of the mist? Surely not… What could've happened? Tell Aoba Yamashiro to come here immediately so we can get an idea of what happened." The Hokage commanded and the anbu instantly flickered.
…
"I…" as Aoba used the psycho mind transmission jutsu he saw as Osamu and his squad approached a child for seemingly no reason, and how the child tried to reason and despite all of this; he saw as the shinobi then made his move from behind but surprisingly the child seemed to vanish as he heard a slashing noise to then watch as the shinobi's body fell. Due to the shinobi dying of blood loss, Aoba watched for a few more seconds as he saw the child vanish and reappeare as he sliced and diced the shinobi.
"Lord Hokage…" Aoba then explained the situation to Hiruzen.
Hiruzen, with a shocked expression asked "was the child a shinobi? Describe what he looked like and the swordsmanship he displayed more clearly" to which Aoba replied "he looked to be around eight years old and was taller than the average child at that age, he had long black and white hair and he had big grey eyes that had what it looked like reptilian pupils. he wore dirty but practical clothing used by ninja and wielded a clean scimitar yet he wore no headband… maybe an academy student? And his swordsmanship was beautiful from what I saw, it was as if he was dancing while slipping in and out of reality." Aoba replied as he thought deeper about this.
Hiruzen immediately thought of a certain clan of swordsmen that had black and white hair "Where did you find the corpses?" Hiruzen asked but he already had an idea of who the child was.
"Near the border between the land of wind and the land of fire around Amegakure." Aoba replied as he snapped out of thought.
"Ahh… the Kuroshiro clan eh? What are they doing in the land of fire? And do you know why the child was attacked?" The Hokage came to a realisation, but he was still confused on why and how the child killed his shinobi. Aoba replied somberly "He was attacked unprovoked and even tried to reason with them. Despite this fact, the child still killed 20 of our shinobi. At such a young age too; we should quickly get rid of such a terrifying potential enemy as soon as possible" Aoba replied with slight indignation to which the Hokage replied with a deep sigh "I would love to Instill the will of fire in such a young potential shinobi, but the fact remains that he may now see Konoha as an enemy. I will set out personally to investigate." This reply shocked Aoba "L-lord Hokage? Are you certain?" The Hokage brushed him off as he wanted to at least try to recruit the child, after all the attack was in self defence and he had no choice and to kill a Jōnin at such a young age… Hiruzen couldn't let this opportunity go to waste.
…
…
"GO!" As the announcer shouted the ground around Yuji shook, the large Kumarai lunged at Riku, to which he simply and swiftly dodged as he ended up at the beasts left side, he twisted his hips poured chakra into his right fist and clocked the beasts jaw with a dirty hook as the perfect twang sound rang all throughout the training ground, the large beast fell to the floor with a big thud. "Uhh… that was really, really boring." Riku said aloud with a confused expression.
meanwhile behind that mask both he and Kokuenryū were laughing maniacally *hah! Pathetic vermin that dared to call a diety such as I disgusting? Blasphemy! Receive judgement vile creature!* Kokuenryū shouted with pride and dignity as Riku thought "Take that, you fat oaf. If you're going to talk about my looks at least be strong enough to back it up, loser."
Riku fell to his knees, acting as if that punch had taken 20 years off his life. After all he was only 8, showing that amount of power and skill at such a young age was definitely risky. Oh well he'd already killed many people without worrying about his power getting revealed so there wasn't much point.
Riku returned to his feet as he limped to the exit of the training ground where he met with Nariko, "That was great! Where did you learn that one?" Nariko asked, half expecting a half assed response however Riku replied with a solid "I added chakra to my waist and right fist, I shifted the weight of my whole body onto my foot as I stepped and hooked his jaw which shook his brain and knocked him out, pretty easy." Riku replied nonchalantly as they walked off.
…
As three days went by, Riku continued to get lessons from the Kumarai as he added two more jutsu to his arsenal which were the — Kumarai Claw Projection Jutsu or Kumarai Claw for short which only needed two hand seals; the horse hand seal and then the tiger seal on the hand you will be projecting the claw from, for example you use the horse seal, then use two tiger seals, one in each hand and then swing your arms; two claw projections will be sent at your target. And the second jutsu he learnt was the substitution jutsu which was one of the three basic jutsu to graduate the academy in Konoha so he was one step closer. Little did he know the leader of that very village was currently searching for him.
…
…
One day later after a lesson, Riku was walking back to Nariko's quarters with Karah while she kept talking about her day and family drama as Riku listened intently, he really did see the girl as a little sister despite her being bigger than him and also older than him, she kept talking about how she wanted to be as strong as her father. But at the same time she said she never wanted to fight? "So what is the point in being strong?" Riku asked, genuinely curious. "So I can protect my family when they're unable to protect themselves." Karah replied, with her head lowered. "Hmm? Well that's an interesting goal I guess." Riku replied but as quickly as he replied, "What are your goals, Riku?" Karah asked.
Riku hadn't really thought of it that much. In his first life all he wanted was to live a long and productive life where he could provide for him and his parents, and his second his only goal was to live. He was thrown into war and achieved strength no one had ever seen before, and with his ego from this otherworldly power he fought and died fighting an elder dragon. And in this life? He hadn't thought about it. He didn't have parents to make proud, wasn't forced into a war, had no one to help. So what was he doing? Riku had unconsciously made his way to Konoha for some reason, this seemed like the natural thing for him to do. For him to take the shadow clone jutsu to use Naruto's future training method.
But… what did he really want?
To live? To find love? To be strong?
The answer was yes.
This would be the life he would live to be fullest. He would grow old, have a family and be strong enough to protect his dream.
"Hmm… I haven't given it much thought, but if there was one thing I could do right now, it would be to take revenge for my clan and kill that masked man." Riku said with a hint of fury in his gaze. But in reality this was definitely something he would do, but not even in the top 5 most important as of now.
Karah was surprised by Riku's reply as she didn't expect such a revenge driven child to look and act so calm.
…
…
Later that night, Nariko informed Riku that he would be leaving in the morning. Riku had completed the summoning contract the night before and had learnt everything he needed, so he had no complaints. Riku didn't have anything to pack such as clothes and supplies so he got ready as soon as he woke up in the morning.
He was greeted by Nariko and Karah who both told him to stay safe and that he should summon them if he got into any trouble.
Then he met with Raiden who told him that he was welcome to visit at any time he wanted, and that if he should face any opponent too powerful for him to face, to immediately use the summoning seal for assistance.
Riku stepped out of the territory, which was unfortunately at the top of a mountain that he took almost 2 hours to reach the bottom of.
After walking for another hour he felt instant terror, but from where?
*Riku. Please, Run* Kokuenryū commanded right as a figure appeared on a branch.
…
There he stood, the god of shinobi; Hiruzen Sarutobi sitting on a branch looking down at Riku.
"Young Kuroshiro, what are you doing in the land of fire?" Hiruzen asked with an emotionless gaze, showing no sign of escape.
"Shit shit SHIT… Why… Why did he have to show up, there's no way we can escape from him." Riku thought so that Kokuenryū knew that they were in a terrible position, not only did Riku not have a weapon but that was Hiruzen fucking Sarutobi the GOD of shinobi.
However Riku being unarmed became an issue no longer as hiruzen… threw him a sword? Why? "Fight me at your strongest, young Kuroshiro." Hiruzen said with the same straight monotone voice as he descended from the tree. Enma in his grasp as he slowly approached the child, who was gathering himself as he gripped the sword given to him with both hands.
Breathing steadily Riku braced himself for the worst thing that could've possibly happened to him in this life other than Madara falling from the sky directly behind him.
Fuelling his legs with chakra, the ground around him cracked as he dashed forward and spoke "Kuroshiro (Arden) swordsmanship, 6th page : rotating moon" as he suddenly leaped up, causing the earth at his feet to crack once again.
Riku then pushing himself off the bark of a tree, when he began flying at Hiruzen the winds surrounding him seemed to shift as he began rotating.
Hiruzen's eyes turned from nonchalance into discerning as he tried to understand what the child was doing right as the spinning child flew directly at him like a circular saw blade, which Hiruzen naturally easily dodged.
Hiruzen tried to make sense of the young Kuroshiro's strange attack but the more he thought, the more impressive it became. "To think this child is only eight years old, what immense potential." The child had used chakra control to increase the force he could emit through his feet to send himself flying to which he then proceeded to use the momentum to propel himself off the tree, to which he then used pure chakra to force himself to rotate and so he flew at Hiruzen as if he was a shuriken, what scary potential indeed!
However Hiruzen was not to be fully shocked just yet, Hiruzen watched as the child created a hand seal, to which he followed up by swinging his arm three times like a monke-
Hiruzen's eyes widened as he used substitution jutsu with a nearby log as he turned to see three large claw projectiles flying and slicing the trees to shreds "Incredible! What kind of jutsu was that? I have never seen anything like that… And to use it at such a young age, truly extraordinary!" Hiruzen thought as his eyes that were once nonchalant were now practically glowing with greed.
Huff huff Riku breathed heavily as his chakra was nearly drained, however as a last ditch effort he bit his thumb and slammed it on the ground "SUMMONING JUTSU!" Riku shouted before falling to his knee.
As Hiruzen watched in shock as the child used the summoning jutsu, a large cloud of smoke appeared.
…
KRRREEEEOOONGGGGG
A large roar reverberated across the entire forest, anything within a 15 kilometre radius could hear the roar as a huge black and white bear of 5 metres tall appeared, one of its eyes was scarred and the other glowed with burning white intensity as Riku sat on the hulking beasts back as it roared loudly.
Luckily for Riku, the Kumarai he had summoned was Raiden, The king and strongest Kumarai.
"Oh? What is this?" Hiruzen looked at the creature that gave off a similar aura to his Enma with a curious gaze had he hadn't seen such a beast in his long life. Without too much thought, he summoned Enma to watch how the child's summon could hold up against the monkey king Enma, "go easy on him, Enma." Hiruzen commanded before the Monkey king walked up to the raging bear, Enma's body and tail is covered by white fur which protrude from his sleeves and pants. He has long unkempt white hair that reached his back and long sideburns and a goatee. He wears a black suit with mesh armour underneath, over which he wears a sleeveless kimono-shirt with white fur trimmings, and markings reminiscent of tiger stripes on it, which is held closed by a red sash, Enma also wears a Konoha headband.
As the monkey king slowly approached the hulking beast, however the creatures glowing white eye was enough to send shivers down Enmas spine but he asked "You're Raiden yes? The king of Kumarai? To think you'd have chosen a child as your summoning pact." Enma, his hundreds of years of experience had been enough for him to have at least heard of the Kumarai and Raiden, was a hot topic in the animal world known for his immense strength and power.
Before the monkey king could predict his movements, Raiden appeared in front of Enma
"!!!" Enma's eyes widened as the hulking beast's claw was descending onto him, he quickly dodged backwards but as the beasts claw descended, a large burning white projection that burnt and shredded everything it touched was flung at him, to which he leaped up, grabbed a branch and flipped onto his legs on the branch.
"That is…? Enma? The monkey king? Why is he attacking you, Riku." Raiden said with a sigh before the air around him began to vibrate, not giving Enma an opportunity to attack.
Hiruzen watched intently as his summon was pushed back, which came as a shock as the only beasts able to force Enma back were the summons of the Sannin. However his eyes widened as a cloak of white lightning surrounded the large beast.
Raiden spoke "Lightning release : White Spark Mayhem."
The vibrating air surrounded Raiden as sparks of white lightning began emitting from his body as he disappeared.
Hiruzen's eyes widened as his danger senses exploded. He instantly flickered 20 times into the distance, 5 kilometres away Hiruzen appeared. he had already released the Emma summon as the staff appeared in his hand once again. He turned around and looked back at the place the battle had taken place as…
BOOM
BANG
CRASH
A barrage of lightning strikes engulfed 2 KM around the battle site. If Hiruzen had stayed there he would've no doubt been caught up in it. "What a terrifying jutsu…" Hiruzen spoke lowly as he watched the destructive capability of the beast.
The surrounding trees were stripped of their leaves as they were burning with a bright white fire, the ground cracked and everything within 2 Kilometres was completely destroyed and all the surrounding creatures were electrocuted through their hearts inevitably killing them all.
Raiden, after using his most powerful jutsu would be incapable of using chakra for a day afterwards, so that was a really risky play but he did get the Hokage and his summon to retreat. Thanks to this, he waited for an hour, then reverse summoned himself back now that his job was done.
Riku stood up and stretched, his chakra levels slowly coming back to normal as he attempted to walk, however he was hit at the back of his head before he could move and so, his world went black.
