Chapter 25: Chapter 25 Kumogakure
Riku entered Kumogakure with a slow walk, he kept his head low, his hood covering the upper half of his face, and his mask covering the bottom half.
Riku didn't necessarily need to breathe fire in order to create and manipulate his monoflame anymore since the third ability of his Ryūgan allowed him to create it from thin air.
All in all, Riku was extremely powerful with just his monoflame, Kokuenryū and swordsmanship alone.
However, only having these abilities, he could get countered quite easily, so he was currently in Kumogakure in hopes of nabbing a couple lightning jutsu, or at least copying some lightning jutsu being used by any shinobi near by.
Truth be told, Riku had copied a large amount of jutsu from the small villages he'd robbed of their jutsu, however, they were all relatively weak compared to his monoflame enhanced fire jutsu, and his white spark manipulation.
And since he was already here, he would also see if there was any genjutsu related scrolls that could help him utilise his second tomoe.
Unlike the first time he raided a village, he didn't punch an old lady and slowly made his way over to the Raikage building.
Riku reached the entrance of the Raikage building and inhaled a deep breath before his body was enveloped in a pale white lightning shroud.
The sound of a high pitched bolt of lightning suddenly caught the attention of a few civilians, however by the time they looked over to investigate, Riku was gone.
Flickering at high speeds, Riku used both the white spark chakra mode and the body flicker jutsu and quickly reached the office quickly.
Riku grinned and bit his thumb, placing it down, a large cloud of smoke appeared, giving Riku a flashback of the first time him and Nariko raided Konohagakure.
However, instead of Nariko, a huge Kumarai of 4 meters in height appeared infront of Riku.
"Yuji!" Riku tried to hold back his grin at seeing his friend after so long, "Yuji there's a very strong opponent behind that door, can you hold him off while I steal some stuff?" Riku asked, hopping on his feet to maintain his momentum.
Yuji was a bit off guard, but he quickly regained his composure and nodded, "I got it." And so, Riku ran into the office after Yuji.
The doors of the Raikage's office exploded in with a deafening crash. The next instant, a gigantic creature over four meters in height launched himself into the room. His body, joined in a terrifying blend of black and white fur, crackled with an aura of white sparks into his massive form. His thick-as-tree-trunk legs whipped open the building door, sending shakes into the building as if an earthquake were occurring.
Before anyone could react, Yuji swung his massive paw, releasing a tidal wave of white spark enhanced claw projections that rolled through the air. The walls of the office buckled from the force of impact, and the very air around Yuji blurred with strong electrical energy. He was an inferno of raw energy, seemingly untroubled by the chaos he raised.
Standing in the center of it all, A, the Raikage narrowed his eyes, his muscles taut. "What is the meaning of this?" he growled, his voice rumbling like the sound of thunder.
"That's the one, get him!" Riku commanded
At Riku's command, Yuji snarled and leaped at A.
In an instant, he lunged at A, his claws crackling with destructive energy. His speed was terrifying for something of his size. His tail whipped through the air like a bladed weapon, his fur shimmering with the intense charge of his White Spark Chakra Mode into a radiant, lightning-charged aura that put even the Raikage's own lightning mode to the test.
A didn't bat an eye. In the blink of an eye, his body flickered, and he was already behind Yuji. The fist laden with blue lightning streaked into the back of the creature. The Raikage's fist was a blur of raw power, capable of leveling mountains with a single strike.
But Yuji wasn't just a beast-he was a force of nature.
His body exploded with a burst of white energy as he pivoted mid-air, his tail slamming into A's fist and deflecting the blow. A was knocked back, his body skidding across the floor. The raw energy that radiated from Yuji's White Spark Chakra Mode was unlike anything A had ever encountered—an unpredictable, volatile force that hummed in the air, crackling with ferocity.
Before A could regain his footing, Yuji's massive claws swept forward. The Raikage's eyes widened. His lightning-infused body flickered as he barely dodged the strike, the claws barely grazing his shoulder. But the impact sent an electric shock through his body, and he staggered for a moment.
Yuji growled, and the deep rumble of his growl seemed to vibrate the air. His body surged with a new burst of energy, the black-and-white fur along his back standing on end as if channeling a surge of raw chakra into his attacks.
A gritted his teeth. He couldn't afford to hold back. With a deafening roar, he tapped further into his Lightning Chakra Mode. His body surged with blinding blue lightning, crackling across the skin like a living storm. The Raikage was now a blur of speed, flickering from place to place, striking with lightning-fast precision.
Yuji growled once more, his fur shifting to an even more intense shade of white. His own lightning-infused chakra erupted as he slammed his paws down on the ground. A barely dodged, his reflexes on overdrive, but Yuji's relentless barrage kept him on the defensive.
Yuji sprang into the air with a roar, his body encircled by a storm of white sparks. The tail lashed out like a whip; the energy culminated into one huge, glowing ball at the tip of his tail. The white sparks crackled and sizzled, creating an incomparable amount of pressure in the room.
The eyes of A widened in surprise. He knew what he was going to see. Yuji was getting ready to fire a devastating attack!
"Not if I can help it!" A snarled, causing Riku, who overheard this to cringe.
He vanished, his form flickering with his lightning mode. In an instant, he was behind Yuji, his hand crackling with blue lightning. He aimed for Yuji's back once more, but the beast was faster than he expected.
With an explosive burst of White Sparks, Yuji's body swirled in a flash of radiant light. His tail swung through the air, blocking A's attack and sending the Raikage crashing into a wall, the force of the blow enough to crack the foundation of the building, gathering the attention of a few anbu and Kumo ninja.
But A was not done yet. He rose from the rubble, his body covered in a crackling aura of pure lightning. His eyes locked onto Yuji, and in that moment, the two were like gods of thunder-one black and white, the other pure blue lightning. The battle was nowhere near over as both warriors, powered by their elemental furies, stood on the edge of their destruction.
A wiped the blood from his mouth, his face twisting into a fierce grin. "I'll give you a fight, beast, but this ends now."
Yuji let out a low growl, his body rippling with white energy.
Riku had got distracted, this fight was awesome! He would've never imagined that Yuji would've grown so strong! His aura is very similar to that of Raiden's, and he's still young.
Riku stepped back, his Ryūgan began to spin and he copied all of the information of the scrolls into his mind, but he wasn't done yet.
'The lightning chakra mode should be here somewhere…' Riku thought while rummaging through the scrolls.
The room was a war zone, with debris scattered across the floor and chunks of concrete and metal buried in the walls as the air thickened with the crackling of chakra. Yuji and Raikage faced off, both forms pulsating with raw power; the ground shook beneath them from the force of their attack, the building creaking as if it could fall over at any moment.
A was panting heavily, his grin still fierce. His body still flickered with the blue lightning of his Lightning Chakra Mode, a storm rippling over his skin. Every move he made was a blur of his speeds, but now, his resolve was even stronger. The beast in front of him had power, yes; however, the Raikage had something more, he was way faster.
Yuji's chest heaved as he stood tall, his black-and-white fur gleaming under the flickering light. His own White Spark Chakra Mode thrummed with energy, but he could feel his power waning. The toll of his attacks was starting to weigh on him. A had been too fast, too relentless, and Yuji's strength had been pushed to its limits. His white sparks flickered dangerously, the aura around him unstable.
He simply narrowed his eyes, focusing on his opponent's every movement. The bear-like creature's energy was beginning to destabilize—he could see it in the way Yuji moved, the way his white sparks grew erratic.
A's eyes widened, he realised that the beast infront of him was one of legends! One that his father had spoke of so relentlessly! This beast before him had given his father the idea for the lightning chakra mode!
Yuji took a slow step forward, his claws scraping against the cracked floor, but his legs were trembling slightly. His chakra mode that used to be firm was faltering now; cracks ran across the white aura surrounding him. It was as if the storm inside him started to lose form, its ferocity.
A's eyes narrowed as he saw the chance. He knew he couldn't let up now. In a sudden, explosive surge of lightning, he vanished from view.
"Now!" A bellowed.
Yuji's eyes snapped wide open as A reappeared right in front of him, his fist surging with lightning; it was faster than Yuji could react. The Raikage's blow connected with his chest with a sickening crack. The strength of the punch sent Yuji flying backward; his body smacked into the far wall with the force of a boulder falling. The concrete crumbled around him as he slid across the floor, the white sparks around him fizzling out.
A heartbeat of silence. A stood in the middle of the room, his chest expanding and deflating with every breath, while his fists crackled with lightning. His body still flickered, but his expression was one of intense focus.
Yuji was crumpled on the ground, his giant body quivering. The White Spark Chakra Mode had dulled, the energy that once brightly wrapped around him now barely a faint glow. Blood dripped from his side, singed fur from the Raikage's lightning punch. He pushed himself up slowly, his claws scraping against the floor, but it seemed to be costing him everything.
"You are strong, creature," A said, his voice cool but tinged with respect.
Labored breathing was all Yuji could manage. His strength was dwindling, his aura flickering weakly, as if it would disappear at any moment. His eyes burned with defiance, but one thing was clear: he was at the breaking point.
However, at that moment, the large beast suddenly vanished in a cloud of smoke!
A's eyes widened as he turned around, however, Riku had already flown away using the wings of Kokuenryū.
A's lightning chakra mode exploded in rage, he looked at his office that had become a wreck thanks to his battle with that beast!
A struggled to calm down as a few ninja squads and some anbu appeared at the battle site.
A furrowed his brows, his mind still in turmoil, 'What the hell just happened…' A was completely brain boggled, he had genuinely no clue as to why a legendary Kumarai barged into his office and attacked him.
But there was another factor, there was someone else in the room.
A cloaked figure, one that seemed to be scanning through his scrolls, but A couldn't put enough focus into that and the fact that the cloaked figure has disappeared the moment he turned around, so he didn't know.
However, A never would've guessed he would meet one of the legendary Kumarai that his father spoke so highly of!
His father used to tell him stories of the legendary black and white beasts that could manipulate their Yang-Lightning in such a way they could use it as a cloak to enhance their speed and destructive power.
A's father was unable to replicate their Yang-Lightning release kekkei genkai, but he was able to replicate their cloak, albeit to a lesser degree, the lightning chakra mode was known for its speed increasing capabilities that outshined the strength and durability increase.
However, the White-Spark chakra mode focused more on destructive power over durability and speed, it does increase durability slightly and speed is vastly improved, but nowhere near the level of the lightning chakra mode.
In the sky, Kumogakure.
Riku was flying away with a huge grin on his face, he planned to head to the land of rivers to see Yuji, Nariko, Karah and Raiden.
With the knowledge of nearly all of Kumogakure's lightning and wind jutsu, Riku's face was plastered with pure joy! Unlike when he raided Konoha, he was completely unscathed!
