NARUTO: Demon's rebirth in Naruto

Chapter 2: The Stranger in the classroom

[A/N: From this chapter onwards there will be no reffering of 'Xuan Tian' as it may raise confusion to readers. I am only using Naruto name. You should know that in Naruto's soul there is only 'Xuan Tian'. Naruto is Xuan Tian himself. ]

After finishing his meal at Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto felt a strange sense of calm for the first time in this world. The warmth of the food and the kindness of Teuchi and Ayame were unexpected, but not unwelcome.

However, Naruto—now entirely controlled by the demonic soul within—knew that such peace was temporary. His ultimate goal was far greater than simply living as a powerless child in a village that despised him.

That night, Naruto returned to his small, sparsely furnished apartment. He glanced around, observing how simple everything was: the worn-out furniture, the cracked walls, and the loneliness that filled the space. It reminded him of the isolation he had endured during his time as Xuan Tian, but he knew this world held different rules. If he wanted to conquer this place, he needed power—and that meant strength.

Naruto knew from fragmented memories that in this world, strength was not just a matter of raw power; it was about mastery over chakra and the body's potential. He needed to understand both martial cultivation and body cultivation techniques of his past world and the jutsu's that work with chakra in this world to truly seize control of his fate.

After a good night sleep. The following morning came too soon. Naruto woke up early, the sunlight streaming through the window and illuminating his small room.

He sat up, the weight of his new existence pressing down on him. He needed to assess his strength.

As he stood up, he felt a wave of weakness wash over him, his limbs feeling heavy and unresponsive.

"Pathetic," he muttered under his breath. He had become a ghost in his own body, with little understanding of the chakra that everyone else utilized. 'If I want to rule this world', he thought, 'I need strength. I need information.'

"But how?" Naruto clenched his fists, frustration boiling inside him. 'This body... it's so weak, I can barely walk long distances without getting tired.'

He sighed ,'okay, Information first, strength later.'

He sighed, pulling on his usual orange jumpsuit and examined, this dress was not in his likes, he wanted to change to any black dress that original Naruto has but, found none.

Naruto made his way with orange jumpsuit that he has, to the academy. The streets of Konoha were quieter in the early morning, and the few villagers who were out gave him their usual looks of disdain.

He ignored them, his focus solely on reaching the place where he could begin gathering knowledge.

As he arrived, he pushed the door open. The classroom buzzed with chatter, and students were already seated, the excitement of a new day coursing through the air. He stood near the doorway, scanning the room with cold, calculating eyes.

Ino Yamanaka and Sakura Haruno were predictably fawning over Sasuke Uchiha, each vying for his attention in their own ways. Ino's long blonde hair swayed as she leaned toward Sasuke, while Sakura, with her short pink hair, attempted to win Sasuke's favor with their own antics.

Sasuke, as always, sat stoically, his eyes half-closed as he ignored them both.

Choji was munching on his ever-present bag of chips, seemingly oblivious to the world around him. Shikamaru, seated beside him, looked bored out of his mind, his head resting on his folded arms as he tried to nap. Kiba was playing with his dog, Akamaru, whose small bark caught the attention of nearby students. Shino sat quietly, his face obscured by his high-collared jacket, ever the silent observer. And then there was Hinata Hyuga. Her white eyes glanced shyly at everyone in the room, though her gaze lingered on Naruto for a few extra moments. The girl fidgeted nervously, her fingers poking together as she stole fleeting glances at him. Naruto, now fully in control of his body, noticed her gaze but felt no particular interest at that moment.

After observing them all, Naruto enters the room.

Ino leaned over Sauske, her blonde hair shimmering in the light. "Sasuke-kun, did you see my new hairpin? It's beautiful, just like you!"

Sasuke merely glanced at her, his expression indifferent, while Sakura nudged Ino. "He's not interested in your hairpin, Ino! He only has eyes for me!"

Kiba, sitting near the front with his dog Akamaru, was the first to speak. "Well, well, look who finally decided to show up! The loser's here!"

Naruto stopped for a moment and looked at Kiba with cold indifference. His expression was unreadable. It was as if Kiba's insult hadn't even registered in his mind. Kiba blinked, startled by Naruto's silent stare. Ino and Sakura, who had been busy with Sasuke, turned their attention to Naruto as well.

Naruto's lack of reaction caused a ripple of confusion to spread through the classroom. It was as if the Naruto they all knew was gone. He had changed, and it was obvious. He was the loudest, was attention-seeking that had once defined him. Now, he moved with a quiet, almost predatory grace, his expression unreadable.

"Hey, Naruto!" Ino called out breaking the silence of the room. "What are you just standing there for? You look like you've seen a ghost!"

Sakura, standing beside Sasuke nooded and, chimed in. "Yeah, just go sit down already. You're acting weird." She then turned back to Sasuke, hoping for a reaction from the dark-haired boy.

Naruto looked at them, his eyes narrowing slightly as he regarded their immature behavior. Without a word, he silently walked past them and made his way to the last bench in the corner of the room to sit. His calm, composed demeanor sent a shockwave through the students, many of whom were used to Naruto being loud and disruptive.

Shikamaru, sitting lazily with his head resting on his arms, lifted an eyebrow. "Huh. Naruto's usually louder than this..."

Choji, munching on his bag of chips, glanced back at Naruto. "Maybe he's sick or something."

As he sat down, Sakura's brows furrowed in confusion. She stood up, her fists clenched, clearly frustrated by Naruto's lack of reaction. "What's wrong with you? You're acting all quiet and weird. You can't just sit back there and pretend to be like Sasuke. You're not him, He's the cool one, not you! and I only like Sasuke!"

Naruto turned to face them, his gaze cold. "I'm not here to entertain you," he replied flatly.

"What did you say?" Sakura shot back, anger flashing in her eyes.

Naruto turned his head slightly, casting a disinterested glance at her, but he remained silent.

Sakura clenched her fists. "Hey! Don't ignore me! I said—"

Just then, the door slid open, and Iruka-sensei stepped into the classroom. "Alright, everyone, take your seats. Class is about to start."

Sakura huffed and sat down, still glaring at Naruto, but before she could continue her protest, she shot her hand up. "Iruka-sensei, what's going on with Naruto? He's acting all strange, like he's not even him anymore!"

Iruka glanced at Naruto, who sat calmly in the back, his demeanor vastly different from the boy he had known. The teacher sighed, knowing that the change in Naruto would need to be explained sooner or later.

"Naruto… went through an accident recently," Iruka said, choosing his words carefully. "He lost a lot of his memories, which is why he's acting differently. But he's still Naruto don't worry. So, let's not treat him any differently, alright?"

A murmur ran through the classroom as the students exchanged confused glances. Many of them had grown up with Naruto's constant antics, so seeing him so reserved was shock to all the class.

"Enough of that," Iruka said firmly, cutting off any further questions. "Let's move on with today's lesson."

As Iruka began teaching, Naruto leaned back in his seat, his mind elsewhere. This body is weak, but I can use this time to gather information. These children are no threat to me.

He looked at the faces of his classmates, each one representing a future obstacle—or opportunity—in his path to power.

He would bide his time, learn the ways of this world, and slowly but surely, he would rise. The ninja world would eventually bend to his will, just as all others had before.
