Chapter 14: The Perfect Method
-----
-----
According to Uchiha Kira's understanding and theories, the Mangekyō Sharingan is basically an incomplete, defective version—forced into early maturity under less-than-ideal conditions.
Only something flawed like that would require another Mangekyō to merge its essence and achieve the qualitative transformation into an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
Of course, there are also factors like bloodline purity... and other issues.
But as far as Kira was concerned, none of that mattered.
With his level of insight, it was only a matter of time before he figured out how to purify his bloodline.
In fact, he already had some solid leads on the subject. He had even gathered a fair amount of data and information—though none of it was particularly crucial yet.
A lot of it, surprisingly, came from when he was still in the womb.
After all, the growth of his own bloodline back then was the best data he could collect.
What he lacked now was the key: firsthand data on awakening his own Sharingan.
Once he achieved that, discovering the method for purifying the bloodline wouldn't be an issue.
"Uh... Eternal Mangekyō? What's that supposed to be?"
Uchiha Ken looked confused as he asked.
"Huh?"
Kira froze for a moment, genuinely surprised. "You don't know?"
"Not a clue!"
Ken shook his head firmly.
Beside him, Uchiha Mika and Uchiha Hiro nodded in agreement.
And Mikoto? She was even further out of the loop.
"I thought at least Dad would know about this," Kira muttered, shaking his head. Then, he asked, "You know who Uchiha Madara is, right? Have you ever heard about how his Mangekyō Sharingan went blind and then later regained its sight?"
This time, both Ken and Mika nodded quickly. "Yeah, we've heard of that. Some of the clan's older records mention it."
"So... when his vision came back, was it because his Mangekyō Sharingan evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan?"
"How did he even manage that?"
The two of them were finally starting to piece together why Uchiha Madara had been so unique and ridiculously powerful back then.
It turned out the Mangekyō he eventually had wasn't your run-of-the-mill version!
Oddly enough, neither of them questioned how Kira knew all of this.
To them, it was obvious: Kira must have pieced it together by poring over the clan's medical texts, taijutsu manuals, and other records, using his ridiculously sharp mind to deduce the truth.
"Exactly," Kira confirmed with a nod. "Madara regained his sight because his Sharingan evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan."
"And how did he do it?"
"Well, he fused his brother Uchiha Izuna's Mangekyō Sharingan with his own."
"What?!"
The four of them gasped in shock.
Ken, in particular, was horrified. "No way! Are you serious? I remember your grandfather telling me that Madara and his brother had an extremely close bond. Why would he...?"
Kira could guess where this was going, so he shook his head and explained, "It wasn't like Madara just took them by force. Apparently, when Uchiha Izuna was dying, he willingly gave his eyes to his brother."
"After that, Madara fused the two sets of Mangekyō and achieved the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan."
"Still, even though he succeeded, I'd say this method is far from perfect. It's not as good as evolving naturally and step by step on your own."
And besides, this method required someone with Mangekyō Sharingan, ideally a close blood relative like a sibling, to make it work.
"Yeah," Ken muttered gravely, nodding. "It's definitely flawed. And honestly, it's way too brutal. We absolutely can't let this leak out, understood?"
He shot a stern glance at everyone present, warning them, "If word of this gets out, it won't just cause trouble within the Uchiha clan. It'll also bring disaster from outside."
If the clan found out, who knew what kind of internal strife it would trigger?
Some power-hungry maniac might decide to pursue this method, causing untold damage to the Uchiha clan.
And if outsiders learned about it, it would only make people covet the Sharingan even more.
Not to mention, they'd paint the Uchiha as inherently evil.
After all, ripping out your sibling's eyes to upgrade your own? That's the kind of thing villains in stories do.
"Understood!"
Mikoto, Mika, and Hiro all nodded seriously, grasping the gravity of the situation.
And Kira? He wasn't about to go around blabbing, either. He'd have to be an idiot to do that.
"Kira, you've got to figure out a truly perfect way to evolve the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan as soon as you can. We're counting on you! I'm not even going to bother trying to evolve my Mangekyō Sharingan for now," Ken said earnestly.
"I'd rather not risk it with such a flawed method."
"Yeah, it's all up to you now, little brother!" Hiro added.
Because let's face it: there was no way he was going to dig out his brother's or dad's eyes just to level up his Sharingan.
Not that he could even if he wanted to—his family would break his legs for trying.
And honestly, by the time he'd ever think of it, Kira's monstrous talent would probably mean he couldn't even win in a fight against him.
"Don't worry," Kira replied confidently. "I won't make you guys wait too long."
Seeing his determination, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

One month later
[You have read a large number of medical texts and taijutsu secrets. Your medical skills have greatly improved and advanced to the expert level.]
---
Three months later
[By reflecting on the process of strengthening your cells and replenishing cellular energy and vitality through the practice of Innate Art, you experienced a breakthrough. You have created the Reverse Innate Art.]
[Reverse Innate Art: Through specific energy circulation, this technique reverses innate energy flow, using it to replenish cellular energy and vitality.]
"Done! With this, I don't have to worry about damaging my cells or depleting my life force when extracting chakra anymore."
Kira absorbed the knowledge of his new creation, a small smirk forming on his lips.
Practicing Innate Art was similar to using internal energy in martial arts worlds. Unless something extreme happened, depleting a portion of innate energy wouldn't cause a regression in his progress.
And any energy used up could be replenished by continuing to practice the technique.
This created a near-perfect cycle.
Of course, Kira's ultimate goal was to develop a method that combined innate energy and chakra seamlessly.
Ideally, this method would absorb external energy to build reserves of both chakra and innate energy, without needing to extract energy from his own cells or drain mental strength.
That would be his vision of a truly perfect technique.
