Chapter 11: The Hunt begins
"Kakashi sensei's ninkens(Ninja dogs), I wonder if they are as impressive as the rumoured," Kiba said as he and the rest of the team followed two of Kakashi's dog summons.
Pakkun, Bull, Urushi, Shiba, Bisuke, Akino, Uhei and Guruko.
"It's kind of weird Kakashi. It looked like the unknown ninja flew away instead of running on the ground." Pakkun the smallest ninja dog among Kakashi's ninken said to Kakashi.
"So he still has hidden cards, I wonder if he mastered earth release like that old man," Kakashi said.
Kakashi has fought the unknown Ninja so he should be the one who is most familiar with him.
But it seems like even he didn't know much when it came to him.
"Kakashi. What is wrong?" The guy who realized Kakashi's worries asked him.
"Don't worry too much. Lord Jiraiya is here so he can take care of us if some kind of problem arises." Kurunei said to Kakashi.
"I hope you three are not trying to push all the responsibility onto me," Jiraiya said jokingly when he heard the three Jonin's conversation.
"Is lord jiraiya really that strong? Our teachers are acting like he is so much stronger than them." Kiba asked Shino and Hinata who was near him.
Shino wanted to reply something but before he could, others answered Kiba's question in his sted.
"I heard that he is given the title of Sannin by the legendary ninja called Hanzo. He was given the title together with the fifth and Orochimaru." Neji replied.
"Orochimaru. Isn't he the guy that took Sasuke?" Rock Lee asked.
"He didn't take Sasuke. Sasuke followed him by his own will." Tenten corrected Lee.
"Does every girl in the village have a crush on him? What's so great about him?" Kiba asked. He was annoyed that Tenten tried to cover for him.
But as Sasuke was currently labelled as a traitor no one replied in defense of him. If Naruto or Ino were here things would have been different as the two are Sasuke fanatics.
"Jiraiya sama is also the one who taught Naruto-kun how to use Rasengan," Hinata said to Kiba. She was blushing the whole time when talking about Naruto.
That girl is a lost cause. Now she is blushing just because she was talking about him? I wonder how can she even go on a date with Naruto when she faints at the sight of him. Kiba thought in his mind.
"Didn't we learn about the adventures of the three legendary Sannins in school? What Lord Jiraiya achieved is documented there." Neji added.
"I must be sleeping in that class," Kiba replied while laughing.
"I can't believe you," Shino replied while sighing.
"Shut up," Kiba said to Shino before the latter started lecturing him.
"Stop," Kakashi said as the group arrived at the place where Kakato last rested.
"Kakashi sensei. It seems... You know...There is a sign that someone camped here." Hinata said.
They found traces of animal bones and a few pieces of burnt wood that were used as firewood.
"Hey. What is this?" Kiba said as he and his dog Akamaru found some markings nearby rock.
"There is also one on this tree," Lee said.
"Neji," Tenten said to Neji.
"Right:" He replied as he activated Byakugan.
"I will too."Hinata also activated her Byakugan.
They activated their Byakugan hoping to find something that Kakoto left behind.
Both of them were unable to find Kakoto but they both noticed something strange about the markings.
However, before they realized what the marking was Kakashi and Jiraiya had already examined them.
"They are flying Raijin marks," Kakashi said as he touched the mark that was on the rock.
"I see," Jiraiya replied.
He has also figured out what those markings are just by looking at them since the fourth Hokage who used this jutsu all the time was his pupil.
"Flying Raijin. Isn't that the name of the jutsu that gave the fourth Hokage his yellow flash title?" Kurunei asked.
"So that means the jutsu that he got from the forbidden scroll was the Flying Raijin," Jiraiya said as he frowned.
"Kurunei, Kakashi, Guy. Leave this place with kids. The enemy ahead is someone who is going to be dangerous to go up against." Jiraiya said.
"What are you going to do lord Jiraiya?" Kurunei asked.
"I have to eliminate him. I cannot let his legacy be tainted." Jiraiya said.
"Lord Jiraiya," Kakashi called to Jiraiya.
He wanted to follow him.
"Stop. I know what you are thinking." Guy said to Kakashi.
"But you are in no condition to fight," Guy said to Kakashi as he held his remaining arm by the shoulder.
"Leave this to me. I will help you bring justice to the one who stole your master's technique." Guy continued.
"Guy is right Kakashi. If you follow them you will only be a hindrance." Kurunei said.
"Come with us. We are going back." Kurunei said.
She also knows that she is not strong enough to fight alongside Jiraiya.
"His master's technique?"
"Wait does that mean you are the fourth Hokage's student?"
"That explains why you are so infamous."
The kids started to form an opinion after hearing about who Kakashi's teacher was.
"That means Guy sensei keeps up with someone who is trained by the legendary fourth Hokage. Guy sensei. You are so impressive." Rock Lee said while having a fire inside his eyes.
"You fool," Guy said while slapping Lee in the face and smacking him to the ground.
"Having the fourth Hokage as a teacher does not make Kakashi more of a shinobi than I am. Saying that kind of thing is not only insulting to Kakashi himself. But also insulting to me and people that taught me." Guy said to Lee.
"I am sorry Guy sensei. I didn't realise I was so narrow-minded." Lee said while crying.
"Lee." Guy also hugged Lee as he also cried.
"Those idiots. This is supposed to be an important mission." Tenten said.
"Lord Jiraiya. Please. I was not able to save Sensei when he died. At least I want to be there when we are restoring his honour." Kakashi said.
"And you still need my Niken to track him if you are sending Kiba and Byakugan users back to the village," Kakashi said.
"Kakashi you think I don't have a method to track rouge shinobis," Jiraiya replied.
However, he stopped when he realized that Kakashi was just making an excuse to tag along with him.
He also sympathized with Kakashi after he remembered when he was unable to do anything the night the fourth died.
"Fine. But remember I am not going to be responsible for your life." Jiraiya said.
Although Jiraiya said that he didn't mean it, he would be willing to sacrifice himself first when the time comes.
"Then Kurunei. Please take the children and go back to the village." Jiraiya said.
She nodded.
However, they didn't notice that while they were discussing about sending the Genins back to the village Kakoto had already figured out about their existence.
-------------------------------
In a place not very far away.
"I sensed a powerful group of people. Good people but seem to be my enemies." Kakoto said as he looked back at the way he came from.
It seems that one of the enemies has strength compared to the Hokage. There is also a cripple with little to no chakra and ...
"I don't think I would be seeing him much sooner than I expected," Kakoto said as he realized Kakashi was one of the people who was tracking him.
It seems that they are near the marking that I made. Kakoto thought as he smiled.
"I should give them a present before they get out of the range." He said as he started to do hand signs.
"Fire style. Fire dragon jutsu." He said as he launched a huge fireball in the shape of a dragon in the air.
Then he teleported the fireball to the place where he left his Flying Raijin mark.
-------------------------
The fireball appeared at the tree where one of the flying Raijin Mark was placed.
The fire dragon headed towards Hinata.
However, before it hit her Jiraiya pulled out a scroll and sealed it inside it in an instant.
"That was dangerous, she would have been burnt to Chrisp if I was just a second late," Jiraiya said.
"The enemy has noticed us," Kakashi said.
Guy quickly grabbed the rock that had a flying Raijin mark and threw it into the air far away from them so that Kakoto could not pull the same trick again.
"8 trigrams Vacuum palm," Neji said as he launched and high-speed palm thrust at the three that had the flying Raijin marking on it.
Destroying it with the air pressure his attack created in one go.
Among team 11 and team 3 members Neji was the most gifted as his strength was even compared to other Jonins from the leaf.
"Lady Hinata. Are you alright?" Neji asked.
"Don't drop your guard. Try to see if there are other flying Raijin markings nearby and destroy them if you can find them." Jiraiya gave an order.
"Right." Kiba and the others replied.
"Byakugen." Hinata also activated her Byakugen again to help with the search process.
This is bad. From what I have heard The unknown ninja was able to contend with Tsuande and would have killed her if not for the 100 seals before getting the flying raijin. Since he was even able to teleport a jutsu his combat power might be much stronger than he was when fighting Tsunade. Jiraiya thought in his mind.
He was starting to sweat when he just thought about it.
It seems that I have to use that after all. Jiraiya decided.
-----------------------
"I have no idea my eyes can see that far away," Kakoto said as he observed everything that was happening to the group from afar.
I am seriously underusing these eyes.
He was just using it as a backup battery and a no-hand signs jutsu spamming tool when using his Sharingan when the true power of the Sharingan is more terrifying and broken than most forbidden jutsu.
He thought when he realized that he didn't even know the range of his eyes before.
The range of eyes can track 50 kilometres.
At that time he still didn't know that the range could be improved with training, when he activated his sage mode or when he upgraded his Sharingan into eternal mangekyou Sharingan.
"I should wait for a while. So that they reach me first." He said as he started to gather nature energy to activate his sage mode.
He was terrified of fighting the Hokage in the middle of the leaf village.
However, that is not because of the Hokage's strength but because of the unknown variables that can arise from being inside an enemy territory.
However, the forest they were in was different.
Both he and the group are in a location where they are not prepared to fight.
He knew that they were as disadvantageous as him.
And Kakoto knew that if a fight occurred he would win assuming that his estimations of how strong all of them were correct.
