Chapter 27: Wide Sleeved Fairy Dress
Yamamoto Ryusei immediately picked up Senju Miyuki's clothes and handed them over. Senju Miyuki accepted them with a smile, saying, "You're so thoughtful, Ryusei." She then ran to the back to change.
Handing the last set of clothes to Senju Hashirama, Ryusei said, "Lord Hashirama, these are Tobirama-sensei's clothes. Please put them aside for him."
Hashirama happily put the clothes away, then asked with curiosity, "Ryusei, did you design these beautiful outfits?"
Ryusei hesitated, knowing full well he had adapted the designs from his previous life. Yet, feigning confidence, he shamelessly replied, "Yes, I designed them myself."
Uzumaki Mito, admiring the fine craftsmanship of her clothes, couldn't help but ask, "How did you come up with such unique designs? I've never seen anything like them before."
Scrambling for a response, Ryusei said nervously, "Oh, just something I imagined during my spare time."
Hashirama's interest deepened. "And what about that story, Journey to the West? Was that something you just came up with too?"
"Yes," Ryusei replied, his voice steady despite the panic rising within. "That's something I dreamed up as well."
However, Uchiha Madara, silently observing from the side, narrowed his eyes at Ryusei. He recalled something Ryusei had mentioned the previous day and thought, This boy isn't as simple as he seems. His foresight is extraordinary. He's hiding something.
The sound of soft footsteps interrupted their thoughts.
Senju Miyuki stepped out, drawing everyone's attention.
She wore a stunning wide-sleeved fairy-style dress—its elegant white fabric adorned with intricate embroidery, and its flowing sleeves draping down gracefully. A delicate hair ornament adorned her head, and her long hair cascaded over her shoulders. The sight left everyone captivated.
Uzumaki Mito gasped in awe. "Is this... the skirt of the Seven Fairies?"
Ryusei nodded affirmatively. "Yes, this is called a wide-sleeved fairy dress."
Mito ran her hand over the soft fabric, marveling at its beauty. "It's exquisite." She turned to Ryusei, eyes gleaming. "I want one too!"
Ryusei smiled and assured her, "Of course, Mito-sama. I'll make one for you soon."
Senju Miyuki, unable to contain her excitement, tugged on Mito's sleeve. "Mito-sama, let's go for a walk and show these off!"
Mito's eyes lit up. "Let's do it!" Without hesitation, the two women left, eager to showcase their new outfits.
Hashirama coughed lightly, then picked up Tobirama's clothes. "I'll take these to him," he said before leaving.
Madara coughed as well, masking his amusement. "Ryusei, train by yourself today. I'm heading to the Security Department to check on things." With that, he departed.
Left alone, Ryusei sighed and resumed practicing his taijutsu, creating shadow clones to assist in refining his chakra nature transformations.
Meanwhile, Uzumaki Mito and Senju Miyuki strolled through the streets, their presence causing quite a commotion. Envious glances followed them as they passed.
"Mito-sama, wait!" called a voice. The speaker was the wife of the Hyuga clan head. "Your clothes are stunning! The style is so unique. Where did you get them?"
With a proud smile, Mito replied, "They were a gift from Hashirama's disciple, Ryusei."
The Hyuga matron pressed further. "Where can I buy something like this?"
Mito chuckled. "Ryusei made them himself."
Disappointment flickered in the woman's eyes. "Oh, I see. They're not for sale then…"
Senju Miyuki interjected, "They might be soon. Try Yamashita's fabric shop—they might start carrying them."
"Really?" The Hyuga woman's mood brightened, and she hurried off at a speed rivaling a shinobi on a mission.
Mito turned to Miyuki, puzzled. "Why Yamashita's shop?"
Miyuki pouted. "A few days ago, a Gothic Lolita dress appeared in the village. It was so cute, but it sold out before I could get one. I later found out that Ryusei gave it to Yuji. He didn't even think of me!"
Mito laughed. "Ryusei seems thoughtful enough. That Gothic Lolita dress was probably better suited for children. But... maybe you'll get something special next time."
In the Hokage's office, Hashirama entered to find Tobirama buried in paperwork. As Hashirama approached, Tobirama glanced up, only to freeze at the sight of his elder brother's outfit.
"Brother, what are you wearing?" Tobirama asked, his tone betraying a mix of disbelief and curiosity.
Hashirama grinned. "It's a gift from Ryusei. He made one for you too." He tossed a package onto the desk.
Tobirama examined the package skeptically. "And these designs... they're for all of us?"
"Exactly!" Hashirama said, clearly pleased with himself. "Mito, Madara, Miyuki, and I all have custom outfits now. Yours is in there. Try it on!"
Tobirama sighed. "This is the Hokage's office. I'm not changing here." Then, narrowing his eyes, he added, "And here I thought you finally remembered your duties as Hokage. Turns out you just came here to brag about your new clothes."
Hashirama's playful expression faltered for a moment. Then, with mock seriousness, he said, "No, Tobirama. I came here to discuss something important. Do you think Ryusei could become Hokage one day?"
Tobirama blinked, caught off guard by the question. He mulled it over, analyzing Ryusei's capabilities.
"Hmm. In terms of talent, he's exceptional—already inventing new taijutsu techniques. Strength-wise, he outshines his peers. His loyalty to Konoha is unwavering, and he harbors no bias against other clans. He's clean, competent, and well-connected. With our support, if he doesn't stray from the path, Ryusei could indeed become Hokage."
Hashirama let out a quiet sigh of relief. Tobirama had taken the bait.
