Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Training (2)

It has been a week after the completion of his first test. During that time he has been training the basics and doing some exercise. But not too much though, only some light training and exercises.

His body is too young to overload with strain, he may damage his body and prevent himself from achieving his full potential in the long run if he decided to go berserk at training.

What he needs right now is a way to train his body hard without destroying it. And he knew just where to find that, so he requested his mother to send him to the Main Manor to ask for assistance.

She didn't put up a fuss and just allowed him, giving him her full support like a loving supportive mother.

The day after getting her mother's approval, Jin Yucheon waited on the front gate of their manor.

Soon a large luxurious carriage arrived from the horizon pulled by a healthy stallion, and that vehicle stopped in front of the young man.

The coachman of the carriage unboarded it and run in front of Jin Yucheon as he greeted him.

"I greet the Youngest Master of the Lightning Step Clan!" The coachman greeted with great respect.

He was sent by the Clan Leader himself to fetch Yucheon, if orders came from the Leader himself it just shows how valued Yucheon became after his first test.

Yucheon nodded at the man as he was escorted inside the carriage. After checking if it was to his comfort, the coachman climbed back up and drove the carriage.

Since it was a 5 hour trip Yucheon can't help but feel bored, and so to alleviate his boredom he spent his time meditating on Lightning Cultivation. The whole ride was smooth sailing then after.

The coachman didn't dare strike up any conversation seeing how focused the young master is, and thats how five hours was spent in silence.

Soon the carriage came to a halt, making Yucheon open his eyes. He stood up from his seat and stretched out his stiff body and unboarded the carriage.

"We're here Young Master. Welcome to the Lightning Manor." The coachman said with pride.

After giving his thanks Yucheon was escorted inside by the servants.

At first Yucheon was shocked by the sheer wealth of his clan. The manhwa and the novel really didn't delve any deeper into the clans so there were no known details about them except for the fact that they're loyal to the Cult Leader and they're more powerful than their Orthodox and Unorthodox counterparts, so Yucheon was understandably shocked by the grandnest of his house.

And this is just a Medium-sized Clan, imagine what a Large Clan let alone the Six Major Clan.

The hall was sprawling with servants, the yard was filled with martial artist training, the whole manor was huge.

"Young Master Yucheon, we were ordered by the Clan Leader to escort you to his office." An escort said to Yucheon, navigating him through the large manor and leading him to the Clan Leader's office.

Finally as the two walked, their steps came to halt as they stood in front of a simple wooden door. The servant stepped forward and knocked three times, to which after the third, the door opened.

"I'll leave you be, Young Master."

"Thank you."

Yucheon walked towards the table where his father was and bowed.

"Jin Yucheon greets the Clan Leader!"

Jin Baek acknowledged his greetings with a nod and said curtly.

"I see that you've already got a hang of Lightning Cultivation. Impressive."

Yucheon breathed deeply before answering.

"Thank you for your praise, I am undeserving of such." The boy further bowed his head.

"Your brother took three months to even get a feel of the technique and yet you're here just after a week with a complete energy core." Jin Baek was genuinely impressed, his son was even more talented than he imagined, even more talented than him or any of his predecessors that came before him.

With this show of talent Jin Baek was sure more than ever that his two other sons served no purpose other than to disrupt and disgrace the clan.

'Comparison is the thief of joy, isn't that what they say?' Yucheon thought.

Just because Yucheon was more talented than his brother, his father was already thinking of disowning his two other brothers.

This world was really ruthless. In his perspective, as a man of modern times, such thinking is unacceptable but in this world this was the norm.

So if he doesn't want to get devoured, he needs to adapt.

"So, what is the reason for this premature meeting?" Jin Baek said with an icy tone.

Hearing his father's tone Yucheon took a deep breath and replied.

"I need a teacher. A teacher that will teach me the basics."

After hearing his son's answer, Jin Baek understood his rationale. Now that he mentioned it, he was quite hasty.

He gave his son a technique too early before even having him train his basics. Seeing this, the corner of his lips slightly rose up.

"Very well, I shall have a teacher sent to your residence as soon as possible. Now, leave."

"Thank you, Clan Leader." Then he left.

After leaving his father's office, Yucheon was escorted back to the carriage by the servants. As he sat inside, his thoughts wandered to the prospect of a teacher. He wondered who his father would choose. In this world, strength equaled survival, and the right teacher could mean the difference between greatness and mediocrity.
