Chapter 341: Li Lian and Xun Wei
"Fang!"
.
.
.
Bursting with joy, Li Lian and Xun Wei wanted to jump into his arms the moment they caught sight of him, but stopped when they remembered Jiang Mei telling them that he was only a clone.
Xiao Fang's heart nearly stopped. Even though it had only been a week since he had last seen them, so much had happened during that time, so it felt like an eternity.
"Li Lian… Xun Wei… you're here."
…
As incredible as the fight between Chu Piao and Supreme Elder Chu was, Xiao Fang wanted to be with his girls more than anything.
"Chu Piao, there's something I need to do. Are you going to be alright here?"
"Go, I'll finish this quickly and meet you there," Chu Piao replied.
Hearing that, Xiao Fang and Xiao Hei sped away quickly, but they were not heading to JadePeak city, they were heading straight for the Black Paradise sect instead.
Seeing them run so quickly. Chu Piao was shocked, because speed was the Chu family clan's specialty, so up until now he believed Xiao Fang was still much slower than him. However, at the speed he saw him running in now, he was convinced their top speeds were about the same.
…
"Did you miss us?" Li Lian asked.
"Yes, I did. What are you two doing here?"
"We came to see you of course," Xun Wei replied happily.
Seeing their hesitation to get too close to him, Xiao Fang reached out to grab Li Lian's hand, but she pulled away saying,
"Fang, you're just a clone. If we touch you, you'll disappear."
Understanding their hesitation, Xiao Fang grabbed the bedsheet beneath him then said,
"Look, I may be a clone, but don't be afraid. I won't disappear that easily," he smiled handsomely.
Li Lian and Xun Wei looked at each other in shock, then felt their eyes watering before jumping into bed, and into his embrace.
"Hahaha, it seems my girls really missed me," Xiao Fang smiled while patting their heads.
"We got stronger," Xun Wei said.
"Un, we have to fight when your real body gets back," Li Lian said next.
"We can do a lot together once I get back. I'll be here soon enough."
…
Li Lian and Xun Wei spent the rest of the night telling Xiao Fang everything they learned about the Core Court as well as everything they did and the people they met over the past week they were apart.
…
"My girls are really impressive. I'm very proud of both of you," Xiao Fang said to them, making them feel a different kind of love and happiness brewing up inside of them.
Without warning, Li Lian gave Xiao Fang a kiss, then stared lovingly into his eyes. Her beauty was beyond words, her usual rough touch was as delicate as a spring breeze, and her gaze was as deep as a bottomless well. She was his and he knew that better than anyone. He kissed Li Lian back, then gave Xun Wei a kiss as well.
"Fang, when do you get back?" Li Lian asked.
"Not long now. In the meantime, there's a lot I need to tell you."
…
Over the next few hours, Xiao Fang explained everything to them, beginning with how he regained his memories after absorbing the Red Rank Beast Core—memories that had been taken away from him by his mother, Yu An. He went on to explain the agreement between the Chaos Sect and the Divine Sword Sect, in which Yu An was traded in exchange for his stepmother, Lady Xu. He also recounted how he had been trapped in the Divine Sword Sect for the past few days, his vague understanding of the Soul Devouring method, and finally, how he now planned to infiltrate the Chaos Sect to rescue his mother.
…
"Fang, I overheard the Matriarch saying she heard there was a temporary cease fire between the Chaos sect and Divine Sword sect. Could it be because of the agreement you mentioned?" Li Lian said.
"Perhaps, but that won't change anything. I will get her back no matter what. And if that reignites the war, then so be it," Xiao Fang spoke definitively, as if he was unafraid of the consequences that might come from saving Yu An.
"Let us come with you," Xun Wei suggested.
"You know I can't let you come with me. It'll be too dangerous."
Neither of them were fools. They understood the dangers that would await them in the Chaos sect, but they were reluctant to see Xiao Fang go so quickly after they just saw him again. And they were afraid that something terrible could happen to him when he's there. They were beginning to blame themselves for not being strong enough to help him. Seeing that, Xiao Fang reached into his spatial pouch to change the subject.
"Come, look what I got you," Xiao Fang said before taking two items out of his spatial pouch. "Take it, it's a gift."
Hearing him say that he got them a gift, their gloomy expressions suddenly got a little better, but seeing as he was holding two simple looking vials, they felt nothing but curiosity.
"What is it?" Li Lian asked.
One contained an icy blue liquid, while the other was orange like autumn leaves.
"Perfume. Take off the lids, and give them a smell," Xiao Fang answered.
Doing as he said, they removed the lids then smelled the perfume inside.
"Woah," Xun Wei said.
"This smells incredible."
Xun Wei poured some on her hands, while Li Lian put some on her sleeve, both smelling the new perfume profusely, almost as if it were some sort of aphrodisiac.
Xiao Fang could tell they liked it, but he still asked,
"Do you like it?"
"I love it!" Li Lian said while jumping into his arms to hug him once again.
"Easy now, this clone isn't invincible," Xiao Fang reminded her.
"Thank you, Fang," Xun Wei thanked him sincerely.
"Don't mention it," Xiao Fang said before patting her on the head.
"Ah that's right, we brought something for you too!" Li Lian exclaimed.
"Me too." Xun Wei followed.
Taking it out of their spatial pouches, Li Lian and Xun Wei both handed him a single scroll with some writing on it.
"What's that?" Xiao Fang asked.
