NAGATO IN MHA

Chapter 29: CHAPTER 29

Nagato felt odd. This feeling had been going on since the selection of the hero codename.

At that time almost all 1A students tried to get along with him. It happened too suddenly and felt as if it was forced. Nagato also initially didn't pay much attention to it and just considered it a coincidence.

But over time Nagato felt that the events of that day could no longer be called a coincidence.

After the naming incident, during the lunch break. Nagato always felt that someone was following him. But when he turned around, he only saw many students wandering around for lunch break.

The strange thing was, Nagato always seemed to see the silhouette of one of the 1A students among the other students who were wandering around.

At some point Nagato would see Midoriya with Uraraka and Iida would suddenly say hello to him just out of courtesy. At that time Nagato considered it normal, because the main character did have a friendly character. Uraraka also greeted him, but her gaze was fiery. Nagato then remembered about Uraraka's words in class.

Elsewhere Nagato suddenly met Kaminari, Sero, Sato, Mineta, and Koda, oh, and also Mina. The six of them were just passing by, and Nagato tried to ignore them. But unfortunately it failed because Nagato also felt the sharp gaze of those people. So Nagato glared back at them, the aftermath was that they walked quickly as if avoiding his gaze.

And Nagato saw that Mineta could walk the fastest even with his short legs.

Turning into another corridor, Nagato met Bakugo with Kirishima in tow. As usual Bakugo glared at Nagato as if his eyes were not prominent enough. But suddenly Kirishima whispered to Bakugo after which Bakugo snorted then walked away with Kirishima.

Nagato blinked in confusion at the incident. It was unusual for Bakugo to just let Nagato go without challenging him.

Feeling odd, Nagato decided to head to the teacher's office. Maybe Aizawa-sensei knew what was going on with his students.

Climbing the stairs, Nagato again met with 1A students. There were Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Asui, and Hagakure. The four girls were having a nice conversation until they noticed Nagato.

All four pairs of eyes stared at each other. Yes, only four because Nagato couldn't see which position Hagakure's eyes were in.

In the end Nagato was the first to break the gaze to leave. He skipped the teacher's lounge and decided it was better to hide in Recovery Girl's place.

Why did Nagato feel always surrounded by Aizawa-sensei's students? Nagato thought that he would find Ojiro, Shoji, and Tokoyami's entourage if he turned in the corridor beside him.

So Nagato turned the other way and immediately stopped. What exactly is going on with these story characters?.

At the intersection of the corridors Nagato saw Todoroki, the man was walking casually towards him. Although Todoroki's gaze was still as apathetic as ever, but Nagato could see there was a mild fluctuation in his eyes. It was as if he was thinking of two options. Nagato then turned around and walked in another corridor.

Nagato clearly felt a subtle atmospheric change in the gaze of every 1A student. Usually they looked at him sharply and warily.

And although they were still looking at him sharply now. But it was no longer wary, but something else. Like..., similar to a thief staring at his victim.

Nagato looked at his own appearance. He was just dressed as usual with the color red dominating. There were no valuables he was carrying. The only expensive item he was wearing now was the watch-like tracking device attached to his left hand.

But the 1A students couldn't be so short of money that they would target the expensive items Nagato was wearing, right? Especially considering Yaoyorozu's background, he certainly wasn't short of money.

Nagato spent the rest of the day hiding in the UKS. Although Nagato knew that he wouldn't meet the 1A students because they would definitely continue learning. But he still preferred to languish in the UKS rather than risk meeting Aizawa-sensei's students again.

....

Why was I dragged here too?" Nagato looked at Aizawa-sensei's students who were grouped in front of Aizawa-sensei.

Some of the students were still staring at Nagato with the same gaze as yesterday.

Nagato ignored those stares and turned his gaze to Aizawa-sensei who was giving some advice to the apprentices.

Well, now they were at the station. As the homeroom teacher, Aizawa-sensei was obliged to drop off his students before departure and give advice for the internship.

The question is, why did Aizawa-sensei also pull Nagato here?. Especially since Nagato noticed the unusual gaze of the 1A students made him not want to be with them.

"Always remember the instructions I gave you. Don't make too much trouble and embarrass the school. My job isn't just to solve your every problem." Aizawa-sensei looked at her usually troubled students.

"Did you hear?" Aizawa-sensei reminded once again.

"Yes!!!" Her students answered in unison.

"It's normal to answer, you guys are too excited." Aizawa-sensei crossed her arms. The loud answer made some people glance at the class 1A group.

"Good." The voice dropped to a low tone.

"Do you still remember the Principal's instructions? For now, forget about it. Now just focus on your internship. You can continue that after the internship is over, there's still plenty of time until summer." Aizawa-sensei said.

"Yes, Sensei!" Several people immediately glanced at Nagato who was beside Aizawa-sensei. Nagato also felt the gaze of many people.

But that's not what Nagato was thinking about right now. But the Principal's instructions?. Indeed what Nezu said to these people. They are clearly looking at me greedily.

Once again Nagato looked at his appearance. Indeed, what does he have to invite such stares?.

"Now go, disperse." Aizawa-sensei waved his hand lazily. Everyone dispersed immediately. Leaving only Nagato and Aizawa-sensei still standing in place.

Many people passed by those two. Tokyo Station was never quiet, especially in the morning or evening. The most crowded time, many people crowded around waiting for the train.

Nagato saw Midoriya and Uraraka talking to a wrinkled-faced Iida in the distance. They seemed to be talking about something. Then Iida left with a confident face. Midoriya and Uraraka also entered their respective trains.

"What did you see?" Aizawa-sensei's voice was heard.

"Nothing, just people passing by." Nagato answered simply.

"I know you were watching my students. I guess you like watching people huh? Do you want to experience it too?" Aizawa-sensei followed the direction of Nagato's gaze.

Nagato turned his head. "Huh?, Experience what?"

"Apprenticeship, of course. Hero schools have internship programs for every year. UA is no exception. You can experience it too. On the condition that you change course. Let go of your life with the people of darkness, and turn over a new leaf. You might get a chance." Aizawa-sensei walked away after saying that.

Nagato blinked in confusion before following Aizawa-sensei. What did Aizawa-sensei mean by suddenly saying this? His temperament was also somewhat different, really like a teacher, not the usual annoying and sleepy person.

"Uncle, can I ask what's going on with your students?. They're looking at me strangely." Nagato asked about the look of Aizawa-sensei's students that had been bothering him since yesterday.

"Maybe they're just curious about you." Aizawa-sensei said from the front.

Nagato's eyes twitched. That was obviously nonsense, Nagato had been hanging around UA for a long time. There's no way the new students are getting curious now.

"I don't believe it, give me a better answer." Nagato walked beside Aizawa-sensei.

"Hm, maybe they found something new that makes them curious about you." Aizawa-sensei glanced at Nagato then continued walking.

Aizawa-sensei's answer was too vague. Nagato didn't understand at all. And also, about Nezu's instructions. Is there such a part in the original story?. It seemed like the story of this world was starting to turn little by little without him realizing it.

If it continues like this then Nagato can only follow the storyline of this world. Because of that it's likely that his question to Aizawa-sensei about the two golds wouldn't be useless?.

"Uncle mummy, about my question after the sports festival," Nagato's question was stopped because Aizawa-sensei suddenly stopped in front of him.

Nagato immediately stopped and looked at Aizawa-sensei.

"Look kid, I have a name, and it's not that 'mummy' you keep mentioning. And as for that question of yours. I know who should answer it." Aizawa-sensei turned to glance at Nagato then walked back.

Nagato was silent as he continued to follow. It was true that Aizawa-sensei's bandages had been removed since yesterday. But Nagato's tongue had gotten used to calling Aizawa-sensei 'uncle mummy'. But it's a bit difficult to change habits.

Nagato felt that Aizawa-sensei's temperament had returned to its usual, annoying and sleepy person. But even so, Nagato knew that he was still the most reliable person.

Aizawa-sensei entered the bus followed by Nagato. They took the students to the station on the School bus. The bus driver wasn't one of UA's teachers, nor one of the characters Nagato knew. It was just a stranger, probably one of the extras.

The bus started running after Nagato and Aizawa-sensei sat down.

"Please take me to the edge of town." Aizawa-sensei said.

"We're not going back to school?" Nagato asked.

"Mn, I want you to meet someone first kid. He lives there now." Aizawa-sensei opened his cell phone and continued typing on it.

Nagato was silent and looked at the scenery outside the bus window. Someone, who?

"Please stop at that shop. We'll come back by taxi, no need to wait." After half an hour Aizawa-sensei asked to stop.

Aizawa-sensei got out followed by Nagato. The bus left as soon as they got out. Nagato followed Aizawa-sensei into the shop which turned out to be a flower shop.

Aizawa-sensei bought a bouquet of white roses. "Hold this."

Nagato received the flowers in confusion. Flowers, what for? Nagato then remembered Aizawa-sensei's character in the anime. Obviously nothing to do with flowers at all. But Nagato then remembered that Aizawa-sensei was still a bachelor, so this flower?. Perhaps?.

"Why do you keep daydreaming there, walk immediately." Nagato heard Aizawa-sensei's voice from afar. It turned out that the person had walked first, so Nagato immediately caught up.

"Uncle, about my question earlier,"

"I won't answer it. Someone else will answer it for me. So don't ask me again." Aizawa-sensei once again cut off Nagato's question.

So Nagato changed his question. "Oh, so who is this person? Your acquaintance?"

"You'll find out later." Aizawa-sensei replied shortly.

Five minutes they walked from the flower shop. This place, the Tomb, Nagato saw a black gate in front of him. He didn't know why Aizawa-sensei brought him here.

Aizawa-sensei entered the gate after reporting his identity to the tomb guard.

"Mm, does your friend live in the cemetery?. What, is he dead?" Nagato asked doubtfully.

"Why, are you afraid to be here?. Afraid of the dead?, I remember you didn't even blink when you took someone else's life." Aizawa-sensei squinted.

"That's...," Nagato hesitantly replied. Aizawa-sensei was not the kind of person who would blindly believe others. So Nagato hesitated to say if in fact his body moved by itself and killed many people. Even though at that time he also felt tingling in his scalp and felt sick when he saw the river of blood flowing from the people whose bodies were nailed.

But then she remembered something else. If I'm not mistaken, Aizawa-sensei also had a friend who had died first. So, the reason Aizawa-sensei brought her here was to meet that person?. But why would Aizawa-sensei take him to see a dead person? Nagato continued to follow Aizawa-sensei while thinking.

"We're here, put the flowers there." Aizawa-sensei said briefly. Pointing to a gravestone near a shady tree.

Nagato immediately bent down and placed the flower in front of the gravestone. Unconsciously and out of curiosity Nagato glanced at the name carved into the stone.

This name..., ".... Ryosuke?" Nagato fell silent after reading the name engraved on the tombstone.

"Mn, your partner. You haven't visited him yet, have you? You can ask him about your strange question. Although your mind is acting mature, but you still can't hide your childish nature. You're obviously still a child, who is obviously very dependent on your friend Ryosuke. I knew it, the Headmaster realized it too. I knew from the start that you were wary of everyone. Our party is just a stranger in your eyes. I even thought you didn't trust your leader Shigaraki Tomura that much either. I know you only trust Ryosuke. That man is dead, but you want to carry his corpse around. Acting like he's still alive. Are you out of your mind?" The wind blew as Aizawa-sensei was silent.

"This is not my way of speaking at length. But, what's clear is that you're too dependent on your friend. It's very clear, he's long dead. You have nothing to hold on to. Walking alone in the middle of life? Being cautious and wary of every step you take without your friend as a guide?. You realize you're on your own now, even your fellow villains clearly don't care much for you. But we want to take you in. We gave you a home, food, clothes. I even let you hang around my students as a friend. You want parents, there's Recovery Girl, All Might, even Nezu-san doesn't mind giving advice. He's definitely wiser than me." Aizawa-sensei looked at Nagato who was just silently standing there. Then looked at the sky that was starting to cloud over.

"Hah, I never thought that I could be this fussy. I'll get right to it, I'll tell you a fact. We want you to escape from the villains, boy. Get out of your old life and side with us. On the Heroes. I told you that your mind is more mature than a kid your age, didn't I? You should be able to choose what's good. Nezu-san said to give you until fall. You should know what I'm talking about." Aizawa-sensei ignorantly left after giving a lecture.

From a distance Aizawa-sensei watched Nagato's every move. The boy just stood there silently. Neither speaking nor crying. Just stood there silently.

"What did you say to that little boy? Poor thing, she looks depressed." The tomb guard, a middle-aged man, approached Aizawa-sensei.

"Nothing, I just made him see the true reality." Aizawa-sensei replied calmly to the man.

"That's too cruel. She's still a child, just let her be happy in her world. The real world is cruel." The man argued.

Aizawa-sensei didn't answer the man and continued to stare at Nagato. The man smiled awkwardly because Aizawa-sensei didn't answer.

"Here, take this. The sky is cloudy, I see you didn't bring an umbrella." The man gave an umbrella and Aizawa-sensei immediately accepted.

"Thank you very much. Sorry for the trouble."

"It's okay, many visitors are like you. They're too absorbed in the reality of death to notice their surroundings. I often do this. Don't be too hard on the little ones." The man greeted and left.

Aizawa-sensei stared at the man's departure then looked back at Nagato. It's not that Aizawa-sensei is a cruel person. But the world was cruel. He said all this to make Nagato realize. Being a villain will only make him unable to see light and happiness.

So Aizawa-sensei told him all the facts. In the hope that Nagato will change course. But if Nagato really wants to return to being a villain, then Aizawa-sensei will not hesitate to put him in prison with his own hands.
