Chapter 34: Chapter 33: Action!
"Ah, well, this is..."
Seeing the people gathering around due to the commotion, Yae tried to bluff her way through.
After all, the person Priscilla had just killed died quickly, so they shouldn't have noticed so soon. There was just a human-shaped pile of charcoal on the ground...
But Graham had already understood Priscilla's intentions. He drew his longsword, controlled the fire-attribute lesser spirits, and enchanted it.
Two fiery red sword blades swept across the 'villagers' surrounding them, cutting them in half at the waist.
The other blade, naturally, was Priscilla's Yang Sword Vollachia. She gripped the hilt and pierced the chest of the villager in front of her, twisting her wrist to make his head fall.
"Not bad, Gra~. You finally caught up with my thinking. It seems that young man was right; this village has indeed been taken over by filthy 'zombies'!"
"Princess, we now look like villains who killed innocent villagers and are planning to get rid of all witnesses," Graham couldn't help but complain.
Who kills possible informants without distinguishing right from wrong? He knew the villagers had issues due to the lesser spirits, but how did Priscilla know?
It's puzzling.
"Hmph! Haven't you noticed there are no women and children here, only strong men surrounding us? Why do you think that is?" Priscilla snorted coldly, splitting open the chest of the villager in front of her. But the headless villager didn't fall; instead, plant-like tendrils extended from the chest wound, trying to reach the red-clad woman who attacked him.
"Watch out, Princess!" Graham swiftly slashed with his sword and kicked the headless corpse away.
The headless corpse, controlled by the tendrils, continued to move, lunging at Graham!
Then, it suddenly burst into flames!
"Hmph, don't think you can escape unscathed after being struck by my Yang Sword! Burn to ashes, impostor!"
Priscilla snorted coldly. The headless tendril monster let out a feeble scream before being completely consumed by the flames, turning into a pile of charcoal.
The other male villagers around them, with lifeless, puppet-like eyes, coldly watched this scene and quickened their pace towards her!
"They really are zombies! Princess, it's too dangerous, get behind me!"
"Alright, it's up to you. Don't let those filthy creatures into my sight again!"
Priscilla retracted her Yang Sword, patted Graham's shoulder with her fair hand, and then stood behind him with her arms crossed, looking confident in his abilities.
"Seriously?"
Graham's face twitched. He thought Priscilla would help him and fight alongside him, so he tried to show off, but Priscilla didn't play by the rules!
However, he suddenly remembered that Priscilla's Yang Sword needed to recharge, so he understood.
Now, he faced an attack from over 30 expressionless, fearless zombies!
"Oh my, Graham, you're so handsome! Now's the time to show your manliness! If you get bitten to death, I'll mourn you often!"
"Stop talking nonsense and help!" Graham glared at Yae, who was watching the commotion, and his eyes suddenly glowed a deep blue with a faint red around the pupil. Against zombies that were already dead but still moving, the 'Mystic Eyes of Death Perception' were their greatest nemesis!
"Whoosh!"
A black kunai suddenly flew past Graham's face, striking the forehead of a villager wielding a farm tool and knocking him to the ground with great force.
The one who threw it was Yae!
Graham, without hesitation, discarded his longsword, drew a dagger, and stabbed the fallen villager in the chest!
*BOOM*
The villager's body exploded into pieces, and the tendril creature in his chest vanished without a trace!
"Wow, Graham, you're so brutal, dismembering so many cute villagers!" Yae exclaimed, covering her mouth in shock after finally taking down a zombie with her agile skills.
"Shut up. These guys aren't cute at all, and they're already dead. I'm just letting them rest in peace." {T/N: More like in pieces...}
Graham's expression remained unchanged. His eyes focused, and he charged into the group of zombies. The next scene left Yae speechless, forcing her to retreat to Priscilla's side to protect her.
Graham moved leisurely, his dagger dancing in his hand, while the zombies surrounding him kept falling, one after another!
With just a casual slash or stab, the zombies lunging at him fell like puppets with their strings cut, their limbs separating...
The strangest thing was that each fallen zombie seemed truly dead, with the tendril creatures in their chests disappearing without a trace.
At this moment, Graham was like an invincible war god. The enemies before him had only one fate—death!
Pouting, Yae couldn't help but complain, "Graham, you're really handsome, but doesn't this mean I'm unnecessary?"
From the moment she drew her kunai, it was clear she wasn't an ordinary maid but a combat maid with ninja skills.
But now, it seemed she wasn't needed. In less than a minute, Graham had dismembered over 30 zombies without a drop of blood on him, looking effortlessly cool!
Priscilla said nothing, but a pleased smile appeared on her lips...
