The Digital Time Trap
Rivan's words created a new crisis for Arahan and Vaidika—should they reactivate the Time Mirror or seal it forever?
But they didn't have much time. The Order of the Timekeepers had already tracked its location. If they didn't make the right decision, the Time Mirror could fall into the wrong hands.
New Technology, New Threat
Rivan pulled out his holographic tablet and typed some code on the screen.
"Look, this is the digital signature of the Time Mirror," he said. "It vibrates at a different frequency over time, which means it can only be tracked with special technology."
Arahan asked in surprise, "Does this mean the Timekeepers already have a device to track it?"
Rivan nodded, "Yes, and they're probably using a quantum decoder, which allows them to capture the Time Mirror's energy waves."
"That means we have to hide it immediately," Vaidika said.
The Time Mirror's Digital Lockdown
Arahan took out a Faraday cage from his bag—a special metal case that could block any electromagnetic signal.
"If we put it in this case, the Timekeepers won't be able to track its signal," Arahan said.
Rivan nodded, "That's a good idea, but if we want to understand the Time Mirror, we need to test it in a safe location."
An Unknown Message
Just then, a notification appeared on Arahan's smartwatch—
"WATCHING YOU. RUN FAST. OR GAME OVER."
Arahan's heart started beating fast. "The Timekeepers have already tracked us!"
A Race to Escape the Cave
The three of them immediately ran out of the cave. As soon as they came out, they saw black SUVs approaching. Their windows were tinted, and the faces of the people sitting inside were not visible.
"They're here!" Vaidika said in panic.
Rivan immediately activated his autonomous bike.
"Quick! Get on!"
The bike's artificial intelligence (AI) system immediately activated high-speed mode, and the three of them sped away.
The SUVs followed them. One of the cars' drivers came out of the window and released a drone.
The drone's sensors activated and it started scanning their location.
Rivan pressed a special button on the bike.
"EMP BLAST ACTIVATED."
A small electromagnetic pulse (EMP) came out of the bike, which caused the drone's system to hang and it fell in the air.
"What kind of movie-like technology is this?" Arahan asked in surprise.
"Dude, we're in the 21st century, technology is everything!" Rivan said with a smile.
The Next Step in the Safehouse
They finally reached a safehouse, which was in the outskirts of Mumbai.
It was an old warehouse, which had been completely made high-tech from the inside—3D hologram maps, surveillance cameras, and AI security systems.
"Is this place yours?" Vaidika asked.
Rivan nodded. "This is 'Neo-Tech's secret lab."
"Neo-Tech?" Arahan asked in surprise.
"We have a secret team, which uncovers such secrets, which governments want to hide."
The Time Mirror Test Begins!
Rivan placed the Time Mirror on a quantum analyzer.
Data started appearing on the screen—
"The Time Mirror is going into active mode!"
Suddenly, there was a stir inside the Time Mirror, and digital codes started flashing on its surface.
Arahan said in panic, "Is it activating a time-loop?"
Rivan stared at the screen. "No, it's sending a message!"
The First Message from the Time Mirror
A sentence appeared on the screen—
"THE FIRST KEY IS IN 3025."
3025? That means it's connected to the future?
Arahan, Vaidika, and Rivan looked at each other.
The Time Mirror was connected not only to the past but also to the future!
(Next chapter: Is the Time Mirror a Time Machine?)
3025—This number was ঘুরing in Arahan's mind.
"Does this mean that the Time Mirror can show not only the past but also the future?" Vaidika asked curiously.
Rivan typed something quickly on the screen, but the device showed a strange error message—
"ACCESS DENIED. FUTURE DATA IS ENCRYPTED."
Is the Time Mirror a Time Machine?
Arahan placed his hand on the shining surface of the Time Mirror. Suddenly, a blurry image started appearing in front of him—
An advanced city, skyscrapers, flying cars, and a huge digital screen, on which was written: "TIMEKEEPERS CONTROL THE WORLD."
Arahan stepped back. "What was that?"
Rivan saw new data on the screen.
"In 3025, the Timekeepers will have complete control! This means that if they seize the Time Mirror, they can completely change time!"
Trying to Break the Time Mirror's Encryption
Rivan connected a quantum decoder from his laptop and tried to break the file.
A new code appeared on the screen—
"TIME LOCK ACTIVE: UNLOCK REQUIRES PAST KEYS."
Vaidika said, "That means we have to go to the past and collect the keys, only then we can unlock the future information!"
The Search for the First Key
Rivan scanned the Time Mirror's previous signals and found a location—
"Nalanda University, year 500 AD!"
"What?" Arahan was shocked.
"You heard right," Rivan said. "The first key may be hidden in the greatest library of ancient India!"
The First Journey in the Time Mirror
Arahan, Vaidika, and Rivan looked at each other.
"If we have to stop 3025, we have to go to 500 AD first," Arahan said.
Rivan took a deep breath. "So, are you ready?"
They peered inside the Time Mirror... and suddenly, they were pulled into the flow of time!
