Grim Reaper?

"Hey, big skeleton, I've got a question for you," Shen Ye whispered.

"Go ahead," the big skeleton's voice answered.

"Are there Grim Reapers in Hell?" Shen Ye asked.

"Grim Reaper? No, death is a rule, and divine spirits are the incarnations of the world's power's wisdom, completely different domains - a 'Grim Reaper' generally refers to some kind of symbolism or metaphor," the big skeleton replied with extensive knowledge.

Shen Ye fell into contemplation.

At that moment, the big skeleton changed the subject, whispering:

"The Shadow of Death Tribe is very arrogant; I can't fathom why they would just take a few Bone Coins from you," it said secretly.

"They do appear to be quite haughty," Shen Ye conceded.

"These guys only recognize bloodline and heritage—the General Tazweil must be no simple character; you need to be careful moving forward," the big skeleton cautioned.

"But I am his Scout Team Leader, feeding off his table; I just need to do the job well," responded Shen Ye.

The Skeleton Bird kept flying forward.

Suddenly.

A streak of light appeared and moved swiftly towards him.

Clang!

Amidst the loud noise.

Shen Ye blocked with his sword in one hand and pressed on the void with the other, swiftly retreating dozens of meters before steadying himself.

He looked around.

Unbeknownst to him, the Skeleton Bird had brought him onto a rather secluded path.

There were hardly any fleeing undead souls around.

But then.

One after another, Death Shadow Knights appeared around him, spreading out and subtly cutting off all of Shen Ye's retreat paths.

"Aren't you guys good friends with the General?" Shen Ye asked.

"General Tazweil is an exceedingly wealthy fallen angel who wields great influence. We assume you must be carrying a lot of valuable things," one of the Death Shadow Knights said.

"I get it, you want to kill someone familiar," Shen Ye sighed.

"Hell has lost all semblance of order. If you're sensible, hand over all your treasures. Otherwise, we are experts in tormenting," the lead Death Shadow Knight said.

"What if I say no?" Shen Ye replied.

"Then your death will be extremely slow—trust me, even if your soul longs to report to Purgatory, we won't let you go, but will torment you eternally," said the Death Shadow Knight.

Suddenly, a Death Shadow Knight appeared behind Shen Ye, raising a lance, and thrusting it with force.

Shen Ye seemed completely unaware.

The lance stopped just inches from his back.

A slender, fair hand grasped the lance.

Yun Ni!

"Damn it, don't you know how to defend yourself?" she cried out in anger.

She couldn't just stand by and watch!

Yun Ni, grinding her teeth in frustration, simply flew up and let out a piercing scream.

"Me?" Yun Ni scoffed.

"Yeah," Shen Ye tilted his head to look at her, "How many people from our world have you killed? How many times have you forced me to take a gamble with you? Do you really think I would let you go?"

Yun Ni put away her cold laugh and said indifferently,

"It's the natural law, survival of the fittest, the strong get everything, and the weak die like lambs."

"Bullshit," Shen Ye said.

He drew the Night Hidden Sword and lightly cut a blood mark into his palm.

The pain immediately followed.

But his expression became even more calm, and his eyes even showed a bit of satisfaction.

Because the moment the blade's edge cut through his palm, Yun Ni let out a low growl full of pain and directly tumbled to the ground, clutching her hand, repeatedly banging her head on the floor.

Shen Ye turned his gaze towards the Skeleton Bird on his shoulder.

"Please follow me, I will take you to General Tazweil."

"Then lead the way," Shen Ye said.

Once again, they set off on the road.

Shen Ye followed the Skeleton Bird, advancing all the way.

After a little over an hour,

"That's the place!"

The Skeleton Bird shrieked in midair.

Shen Ye looked in the direction pointed by its wings and indeed saw the familiar carriage.

A streak of light suddenly attacked.

The Skeleton Bird was shattered to pieces.

A few scouts charged forward on their steeds, calling out as they approached,

"Who dares to covet General Tazweil's convoy?"

The surrounding Undead Souls all looked over.

The voice of General Tazweil soon came from within the carriage,

"I heard from Green that you were scouting the surroundings, what's the actual situation?"

Shen Ye immediately realized what had happened.

Perhaps Werewolf Green had noticed he wasn't in the room, and thought, being the Scout Team Leader, he naturally went to scout.

So Green must have said so.

"Green didn't make it out, Sir," Shen Ye said gravely.

"How is my territory?" General Tazweil asked.

"Oh?" General Tazweil's interest was piqued, "You went to check on Isaac's side too? Does his place not have a single living thing left either?"

"There's a lake——even the aquatic Undead Souls in the lake are destroyed, the whole domain is empty, it seems no one has survived," recounted Shen Ye.

"Any other news?" General Tazweil pressed.

"Those strange creatures in the sky have all vanished, I guess we're temporarily safe," Shen Ye stated.

After a pause,

General Tazweil sighed with relief and said,

"Good, you truly are diligent and responsible——what you told me matches the latest intelligence I just received."

The way the people around looked at Shen Ye changed instantly, filled with newfound respect.

In the face of such a terrifying event, the Scout Team Leader really was reliable!

"General, now that I have returned, please command me as you wish!"

Shen Ye stated.

"It's alright, come here, I have something to ask you."

"Yes, Sir."

"When you went to Cannon Branding Castle, just who exactly were you going to see?"

The General's tone was very serious and formal.

"My fourth brother, Fourth Brother Baxter, is a Fire Mage, he's generous and honorable;"

"My fifth brother, Long Wu Baxter, is a Frost Death Knight;"

"My sixth brother, Nix Baxter, is proficient in spatial magic, but since he's broke, he only knows Invisibility so far;"

"My seventh brother, Sang Biao Baxter, is a rebel, but that's all in the past, in any case——"

"Apart from the eldest leading us, we all died."

As he finished,
