Chapter 48: My Wives Of Simulation [48]
Chapter 48: Kasugano Sora's Acting Like A Coquettish Person
________
With the end of the second life simulation, Elric finally returned to the real world.
When he opened his eyes, his sister, Kasugano Sora, was still sleeping soundly beside him.
"System," he called out softly.
Hearing his voice, the life simulation system promptly responded.
[Host, life experience is different from life simulation. Life simulation involves going to another world and living out a complete life journey.]
[However, life experience is a random snapshot of a specific time or place. The host will spend only a short period there—perhaps meeting some people, or perhaps seeing nothing at all.]
[Is the meaning of life found in its quality or its length? This is, indeed, an interesting question.]
After listening to the system's explanation, Elric began to understand the concept of life experience. Yet, having just returned from Britain, he felt no desire to embark on another journey, at least not for now.
The same was true for life simulations. His time in Britain had rewarded him greatly—not only had the two Beast classes, Beast of the Apocalypse and Beast of the Savior, unlocked their third skills and reached maturity, but he had also activated the Heavenly Dao ability, Disaster.
In addition, after defeating Oberon, the God of Fraud ability awakened, causing his power to grow exponentially.
However, despite this newfound power, Elric couldn't help but feel that the God of Fraud, even at EX rank, paled in comparison to the gods of Heaven.
Sensing his unspoken doubts, the system once again offered an explanation without being prompted.
[Host, while both are classified as EX-ranked gods, the nature of their power is vastly different. The gods of Heaven are undoubtedly the pinnacle of existence, far surpassing the God of Fraud.]
[To put it simply, the God of Fraud is EX because that is its maximum limit, while Heaven is EX because that is merely its baseline.]
[Even among gods, the disparity in power can be immense.]
As the only power reliant on Elric's self-awakening, Heaven possessed an extraordinarily high potential ceiling, with as many as nine distinct authorities and abilities. This was a level of strength even Elric had to acknowledge.
"Understood," he murmured.
Reviewing Britain's history, Elric found no trace of his existence this time. It appeared that the eternal glory he had established belonged solely to a parallel world and had no influence on reality.
Satisfied, he tightened his arms around Kasugano Sora, savoring the warmth of her presence. After all, while she had only slept through the night, he had lived nearly fifty years in Britain. The stark contrast made his affection for her even stronger.
The night passed in silence.
---
When the first rays of morning sunlight streamed into the room, Sora slowly opened her eyes.
"Awake? Don't you want to sleep a little longer?" Elric asked gently, his voice tinged with warmth.
As her gaze landed on her brother's smiling face, memories of last night resurfaced in her mind. She remembered her newfound power as his Follower, her brother's awakening as a god, and their shared connection.
"..."
A smile of pure joy graced her lips. Though her heart swelled with emotion, Sora said nothing and continued to gaze at Elric.
"Are you hungry, girl? I'll go cook something for you."
For her, it might have felt like a single night had passed, but for Elric, it had been decades since he'd last seen his sister. Naturally, he intended to dote on her as much as he could.
"Kat!"
"Brother can do anything," she replied with a grin, gently brushing her fingers against his cheek. Then, with a playful tone, she added, "Brother, are you acting like a teacher again?"
"Of course. Who do you think I am?" he replied, humor dancing in his eyes.
"Arrogant fart."
She made a soft, meaningless humming sound, but it carried the tone of a spoiled child seeking attention. Without hesitation, she threw herself into Elric's arms like a clingy koala, refusing to let go.
"Chunchun," Elric muttered with exasperation, though his tone betrayed his indulgence. She might act tough outwardly, but deep down, she was soft and vulnerable.
Carrying Sora—who now resembled a conjoined twin—Elric prepared breakfast with her still latched onto him. In every sense, he pampered her, feeding her with utmost care.
"Brother, are you still going to school?" she asked after the meal, her delicate face tinged with a faint blush.
For Sora, the thought of returning to school was unappealing. Though her body had recovered, her introverted personality made it difficult to interact with her classmates. From childhood, she had rarely formed friendships outside of Elric's circle. Even Utaha, one of Elric's closest friends, didn't get along with her.
"Do gods even need to go to school?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity and a hint of sarcasm.
"Well… not really," Elric admitted, smiling at her question. "But I should wrap things up properly. Even if it's just to apply for a leave of absence, I need to make an appearance."
He reminisced briefly about the friends he had made at school, those who had once supported him when he felt like running away. Now that he was back in reality, it seemed fitting to visit them, even if only to say goodbye.
"Besides," he added, "whether it's the King of Glory or the Emperor of Eternal Night, they always finish what they start. Even if I'm not attending school anymore, I should handle the formalities. It'd be embarrassing to just vanish."
With that thought in mind, Elric patted Sora's head gently. To ensure her safety, he used his newfound powers to raise all her attributes from E—already ten times stronger than an ordinary person—to C level.
As a mature Beast and a god with three of Heaven's powers unlocked, Sora was already extraordinary. Enhancing her further felt natural, especially considering the deep bond they shared.
"From now on," Elric said thoughtfully, "we'll see which attributes you're most compatible with. Strength, durability… it'll depend on you."
He smiled warmly. "Take it easy at home, okay? If you feel like going out, go ahead. If you need anything, just send me a message."
Before leaving, he placed the scabbard of Avalon within Sora's body, layering her with additional protection. Elric ensured she had every safeguard he could offer.
---
After leaving home, Elric found himself standing outside Utaha's apartment building.
Meanwhile, back at home, Sora watched her brother's retreating figure with a pout.
"Stupid brother," she grumbled. "You said you were going to school, but you're really just off to see those wild women!"
She knew all too well how popular Elric was at school. Thinking about the countless girls who fawned over him, Sora grew increasingly annoyed.
Her mind churned with ideas, but suddenly, she remembered something important: she had access to a multiversal chat group.
"Wait… those group members! Maybe they can help me think of a solution."
Her eyes lit up with determination. After all, the women in the chat group were undoubtedly capable. If anyone could help her deal with this situation, it was them.
---
As she opened the chat group interface, a flurry of notifications popped up.
[Ding Dong, the Witch has joined the group chat.]
[Ding Dong, Mellie has joined the group chat.]
[Ding Dong, the Princess has joined the group chat.]
[Ding Dong, King Arthur has joined the group chat.]
[Ding Dong, the Fairy of the Lake has joined the group chat.]
Sora blinked in confusion.
"Wait… five newcomers all at once? What's going on?"
Her mind reeled as she stared at the sudden influx of members, uncertain of how to handle the situation.
