Chapter 183: Giggle of Doom

Although Feng Fan managed to hold his ground, his hands trembled under the immense force of the Blue Dragon Sect disciple's sword. His knees buckled, and the ground beneath him sank a few centimeters from the pressure.

The man smirked, noticing Feng Fan's resistance. He pulled back his sword and swung again, a powerful horizontal slash aimed straight at Feng Fan's chest.

But instead of raising his weapon to block, Feng Fan's smirk widened.

He activated his new technique. A laughing skeleton holding a scythe appeared briefly behind him.

Giggle of Doom!

In an instant, half of his spiritual qi vanished, a high price for using the technique against someone a full realm above him.

'Damn, this thing burns qi like crazy…' he thought. 'If I tried it on a Spirit Severing cultivator, would I suffer backlash?'

His opponent suddenly froze mid-swing, his hands beginning to tremble. At first, it was barely noticeable, but within moments, his entire body shook violently.

His face turned as red as a tomato as he struggled to regain control. Then, after a breath of time, he lost all restraint. His sword clattered to the ground, and his hands clutched at his abdomen.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" The man erupted into uncontrollable laughter. "You bastard—HAHAHA—what the hell—HAHAHA—did you do to me?!"

His attempts to speak were cut off by his own manic laughter, his body convulsing as if possessed.

Feng Fan stroked his chin, watching with amusement. "Not bad, not bad… This technique turns hatred into an uncontrollable urge to laugh."

Feng Fan took a moment to admire his handiwork before delivering a flurry of ten slaps to the man's face.

With no way to defend himself, the man's head quickly swelled, his cheeks puffing up like a pig's. Yet, despite the beating, his laughter remained uncontrollable.

Feng Fan smirked, tilting his head. "I've seen a lot of things, but this is a first—a man getting slapped into a pig and still laughing. The world is vast indeed… full of all kinds of fools."

The woman watched in horror as her senior brother was humiliated, her eyes widening in disbelief. She had never seen such a bizarre technique before!

Realizing the battle was slipping out of their control, she channeled her spiritual qi into her sword and stabbed it into the ground. A powerful explosion erupted, forcing Su Xiaoli, Huang Xue, and Xue Qiang backward.

Wasting no time, she retrieved a token from her space ring and infused it with her qi, sending a message.

"Elder, I've found Feng Fan! He's near the Death Plains! Send reinforcements immediately!"

The faces of Feng Fan and his companions darkened. Communication tokens like that often had tracking functions. Reinforcements from the Blue Dragon Sect would arrive soon, and they wouldn't be any weaker than these two.

"Damn it!" Feng Fan clenched his fists, already knowing what he had to do. A deep sense of despair filled him.

'I… I'll have to use my qi stones… Why, heavens, why?'

They needed to eliminate both enemies as quickly as possible and flee. If even one survived, tracking them down would be much easier.

After sending the message, the woman shifted her focus from the girls to Feng Fan. "Senior Brother!" she shouted.

'Little Brick, do it!' Feng Fan commanded the Suppression Relic, pushing down his turbulent emotions.

The Suppression Relic hummed, quickly connecting to Feng Fan's space ring. In an instant, the spiritual qi inside the high-grade spiritual qi stones vanished, leaving behind only dust.

Feng Fan felt a sharp pang of regret but forced himself to ignore it.

Red patterns and strange symbols appeared on the Suppression Relic's surface, and a violent energy surged around it. The woman, who had been charging toward Feng Fan, froze in fear.

'What is this?!' she thought, panicking. Without hesitation, she abandoned her senior brother and tried to flee.

"Hmph! After using up all my spiritual qi stones, do you really think I'll let you escape?!" Feng Fan yelled, trying to mask his frustration by raising his voice.

He hurled the Suppression Relic with all his strength. It shot toward the woman's head like a comet. She barely had time to react.

The woman turned to defend herself, raising her sword between the Suppression Relic and her body. But her sword shattered as easily as a sandal smashing a cockroach.

Even if it were a damn flying cockroach, once the sandal struck, its fate was sealed!

Bang!

The Suppression Relic smashed into her head, turning it into a gruesome mess of blood and flesh. Her headless body hit the ground with a thud, her blood soaking into the soil, nourishing the plants around them.

The paths we walk in life may differ, yet, our destination remains the same—to become part of the soil from which the next generation rises.

With its duty fulfilled, the Suppression Relic gracefully returned to Feng Fan's hand.

The man stared in disbelief as his junior sister died. 'He wasn't even doing his best before!'

That was his last thought as Feng Fan swung the Suppression Relic again, crushing the man's skull. His end was no different from his junior sister's.

If there was one thing unusual about his death, it was that the man died laughing. Perhaps, in his final moments, he found joy in the inevitable.

Or he was just an idiot.

With both enemies dealt with, Feng Fan turned to the girls, never once glancing back at the dead bodies. His expression was solemn as he spoke.

"Let's enter the Death Plains."

The girls nodded without hesitation. There was no need for further explanation—they all understood.

The Death Plains was their best chance to escape the Blue Dragon Sect's pursuit. Any other path would only lead to a quicker death.

Without wasting another second, the four of them stored their weapons in their space rings and soared toward the Death Plains.

Given their cultivation levels, Feng Fan wasn't too worried. As long as they followed Elder Jiang's advice and avoided the center, they should be safe.

Of course, Elder Jiang's advice wasn't to avoid the center—he had warned them to stay away from the Death Plains entirely!

"Xue Qiang, check the map. Find the shortest route that keeps us away from the center."
