My Upgrades are Invincible. Rewrite

Chapter 86: Chapter 86 Alt POV

In terms of so-called Boss monsters within the dungeon. They were rated to levels in which a single adventurer could be expected to be able to kill with... Relative safety and security.

The Goliath was rated as a level four. The Voltimera the hidden boss monster of level 27 was considered a level five. The Amphisbaena was considered level six if it was within water otherwise high level five. Udeaus was considered a high level six, and known only privately via a few Familia's if it was fought solo or with a very small party it would summon the magical sword that made it equivalent to a level seven.

Maxim was level eight. A high level eight at that, with his stats being well spread in all categories with each stat being at least B rank at this point in Agility and Dexterity being his weakest of stats.

He wanted to be at the cusp of reaching level nine so that when he went and slayed the Leviathan with the rest of his and Hera Familia. He would reach level nine.

There was a grave issue he faced though. To reach past Udeaus and find monsters and the deeper bosses that could give him the stat points that mattered. It would take literal months... Months to reach the sixtieth floor of the dungeon with how large each floor got the deeper you went in.

Maxim had the strength and endurance to fight for hours on end if need be. Even comfortably due to the Great Quests he had went on giving him a body undaunted by labor and long endeavors.

But even if he rushed into the dungeon, and without stopping sprinted straight for the sixtieth floor. It would take him at bare minimum at least a week to reach his destination in simple travel time.

Hence Maxim's latest plan to give him and select members of the Zeus Familia the needed Excellia to properly fill out their Falna's and gain the highest quality Excellia they could get.

"Captain. The Amphisbaena is starting to strain the Adamantine chains used to keep it bound with its evolution making it grow." One of Maxim's lieutenants spoke.

Maxim nodded with his armor clinking along with the two lion heads mounted on his pauldrons glowing with lightning between their large saber like fangs from the two-headed great lion monster his god sent him to slay in a Great Quest.

"Good. After slaying the Amphisbaena, I will be close enough to assuredly secure level nine with the death of the Leviathan. To say nothing of having Ambrious and reaching my level and a few others possibly finally hitting level eight as well."

His heavy footfalls rang out with crushing weight as his footsteps shattered the dungeon floor beneath him as he strode out of the cabin his Familia had put up for him within the bottom level of the Water City at the base of the water levels in the dungeon.

The roars of the Amphisbaena was ear-piercing. The once two-headed dragon had clearly mutated greatly and now had a total of five... Five heads!

'This monster is bound in literal billions of Valis in Adamantine chains... And even then it strains the divine touched metal. It is undoubtedly a level eight monster.' Maxim thought with grim glee.

Though... Idly he mused on how that bitch Alfia would be grimacing and raging at the noise the Amphisbaena was endlessly making with five shrieking and roaring heads that were large than most buildings were tall.

Then Maxim's grimm smile died as he held in a frown at the reminder that the demonic incarnation of talent was no longer held back by her magical sickness... She would likely catch up to himself and the Empress in but a decade on her own.

But Maxim just shook his head, all such worries wouldn't matter. As within the next five years at most. He would be a literal divine, ageless immortality would be his for hitting level 10 with the Falna.

"What a great beast. Do you have the recording crystals ready to be shown via the War Games viewing screens?" Maxim asked with relish at the thought of silencing the lesser Familia's that had been whining within Orario after his suppression to keep them obedient.

His lieutenant firmly nodded with his voice filled with desire at the thought of leveling up himself. "Aye Captain, already Hermes has been captured topside in Orario by Ocutlas, and Anslum. Who has the other recording crystal in hand ready with Lord Ouranous already having given Hermes permission to use his Arcanum to transmit the coming battle."

Maxim laughed with his lieutenant skidding away as the power of the thunder shattered the ground with the boisterous joy that Maxim exhibited. "Good! Then begin the broadcast. I shall begin the battle after the Amphisbaena's chains are removed from its body."

The Zeus Familia members hearing Maxim's orders leapt into action. The binding chains were unlocked at the far ends allowing the Amphisbaena free and its many heads shook off and its main body threw the massive chains off its body with a mighty roar.

"Come great hydra! I ,Maxim the Thunder of Zeus shall slay you on this day!" Maxim roared in turn as he clenched his fist and as he opened it a massive spear of lightning formed within his hand that he prepared to throw at the five-headed Amphisbaena.

But then before Maxim could properly start the battle a massive rumble rang out and Maxim's eyes widened as another roar rang out. 'The new Amphisbaena? How could it spawn? The previous one hadn't even died yet!?'

The new two headed Amphisbaena fell from the dungeon's spawning wall with a crashing noise and the five-headed Amphisbaena gave a seemingly long look at the new Amphisbaena before a cruel light entered its many eyes.

"Good! Two Amphisbaena will do just fine haha!" Maxim called out knowing he needed to get his fellow Familia members back on track as although the mutated one was going to give them issues. The new Amphisbaena? Maxim could kill it easily enough with but a single of his patron gods spears of lightning he had earned during his Great Quests.

But then the mutated Amphisbaena's five heads sent a massive... Truly spectacular corona of different elemental attacks from its many heads mouths onto Maxim which he blocked with his summoned lightning spear.

But as the smoke cleared... The mutated Amphisbaena was gone!

"Captain! The mutated Amphisbaena fled into the tunnel leading to Melen!" His Vice-Captain Ambrosis roared after the wizard used a quick chant spell to cripple the lesser Amphisbaena for the rest of the Familia to kill.

And Maxim stood there... With a vein popping on his forehead as he knew this was going to bite him quite firmly in the back when his actions of mutating a boss monster inevitably got out when his Familia members got drunk.

The Amphisbaena was extremely fast and with it being all but a smooth shot from here to Melen via the tunnel leading from the dungeon to the Lake. The Amphisbaena would be there in less than three hours...

It would take Maxim at least five hours to simply get back up to the surface from the thirtieth floor. To say nothing of the three hours of sprinting to get from Orario to Melen.

"FUCK!" Maxim roared stomping his foot into the dungeon floor making it grumble and his eyes sharpened as a hint of danger hit his senses and he snarled. "Cut the broadcast. We are leaving the dungeon before it spawns the Juggernaut."
