NOVEL NEXT Chapter 22: (18) Harley Quinn
Hey everyone! Sorry I've been a little behind on story updating, if you're still following along and waiting thank you!
Next chapter will be an interesting one as it involves a bit of a twist to it!
Anyway I wasn't updating because I got caught up in a few stories and doing family gatherings and stuff!
Not sure how much I will be updating because we are still preparing, putting stuff up, visiting family, and a lot of other stuff.
Anyway please stay tuned, I promise I'm not dropping or abandoning this!
Also for anyone else who followed my 2 other stories, The Daydreamer system is on pause for now as I'm more focused on my other 3 stories and if I add more my brain might explode lol, as for my other story the Copycat System it is abondoned as for some reason I can't delete the book so I had to label it abandoned.
Anyway thank you all for waiting, if anyone donates Powerstones after this post they will be featured at the beginning of my next chapter...whenever I write it lol.

A few weeks had passed since their little 'Love Session' and not a lot happened, what did happen though was Katerina had made a name for herself as 'The Living Shadow' as she always fought at night and never made any noise.
But because of this she not only earned the respect and companionship of the League but also from some of the higher Villains in Gotham and Metropolis, it wasn't easy at first cause she had to do a little sneaking behind their backs just to leave and even then she got scolded by Superman as if she was his daughter, but after the long time she'd been their and the talks she's had with everyone she felt the closest to him, neither understood why but it was a sort of unspoken truth.
Anyway after the long time and everything she was ready to go back home but she had a few people to talk with.
(Unknown Warehouse)
Inside the warehouse was a insane clown and a crazy woman, these people were obviously Joker and Harley Quinn.
After scoping out the place she quickly rushed inside and used a spike arm to take out the lights, literally shaped the Symbiote arm into a spike and broke the lights.
Once safely under the darkness she took out the smaller enemies one by one until all that was left was a terrified Joker and Harley.
"HAAHAHA I may not know who you are but I like I can figure out you're weakness!"
As soon as he finished saying that he flipped the switch of something and a giant spotlight came on lighting up the whole warehouse, Joker had a huge grin at first but seeing Katerina just standing there his grin started to fade.
Harley, thinking she was just frozen from the light and couldn't move, took this chance and ran at Katerina with the bat in her hand, as she got close Katerina placed her hand on Harley's head and whispered, "Reshape, Rearage, Become New" and Harley slumped onto the floor, her mind going through a huge change, all of her evaluations and time with the Joker being rewritten, everything bad she had done being turned into a memory that'll hurt her yes but will also make her normal and want to turn her abilites into good.
While this was happening she looked at the Joker, knowing the damage he could cause to the world...she couldn't take chances on the Manipulation and have someone reshape his mind to something possibly worse.
So while Joker was staring at the unconscious Harley, Katerina quickly and suddenly ran behind joker, "Sorry, but you're better off dead, you cause to much suffering later" with those words, she sliced his head off and quickly brought out a can of gasoline that she had in her inventory, after dumping it on the Jokers body she sparked a match...then dropped it, while the match was dropping she used her [Demonic Energy] to supe up her speed, grabbed Harley, and left the building.
(In a hotel room)
Katerina sat in a chair beside the bed as she watched the unconscious Harley on the bed. After 5 hours she had begun to stir which caused Katerina to perk up.
"Huh? Where the hell am I? Who am I? Oh, oh no, no no no no, tell me it's a dream! That...wasn't me right? I'm a psychiatrist! That couldn't be me..."
Katerina sighed as she hugged the woman and spoke in her ear, "that wasn't you ok? He made you go crazy, he had a way of doing that as I'm sure you remember, I promise none of it was done with a sane mind. Using you're gained unique athletics and stuff I'm sure you can gain a better reputation by being a hero. Now I'm gonna send you back with Wonder here and rest in my room, she'll fight for you to stay where you are going, just sleep and let you're mind work through the broken pieces that Joker caused ok?"
Harley softly cried on Katerina's shoulder, after hearing everything she nodded softly, "okay, I think you're right that I need rest, it feels like I haven't properly slept or rested my body in years. Just promise me you won't betray me?"
Katerina just chuckled, "Harley, even if I was mind controlled to betray you i couldn't, we are soulmates, destined to be together for life"
Harley smiled as she broke down even more, after what felt like hours she had cried herself to sleep, when she put her in Diana's arms she pulled out a device that was connected to the League, apon activating it she heard everyone in the meeting room.
"Starscreech here, I have a huge report and uhm one I'm not sure how you guys will feel about. The Joker is dead, I was just gonna detain him but I read through his memories and he had a huge messed up plan, a plan to destroy Superman and use him to cause mass havoc, something involving someone close to him. Well after seeing that I figured it'd be better for that not to happen so I may have dealt with him. I know this goes against League regulations and this probably won't be the last time, but next time I will explain the situation and bring the person in"
The League was quiet while thinking carefully, then the room erupted with them aguring about of this was alright, if it was called for, and then a voice made everyone shut up
"Starscreech, Superman here, you said he planned something against someone I cared about right? Did this cause death to said person?"
"Yes, Joker planned to use an evolved Toxin that would wipe out almost if not half of the city, this plan was for one purpose, havoc and the possibility of you going crazy, and after I read his kind I used my foresight and one of the people I seen dead was..the one closest to you"
This caused everyone to quiet down immediately upon realizing it was bigger then they first thought.
"Alright Starscreech, I think I speak for everyone when I say we will let this slide seeing as the alternative would have been mass havoc, anyone disagree?"
Everyone was quiet, the only sound was that of breathing.
"Alright, next time remember to come to us first, good luck on you're missions Starscreech"
Katerina sighed as she knew she had to speak on this before they found out.
"One last thing, I rewrote Harley Quinns memories, she remembers everything she did but she good now and regrets everything, and also..she's another soulmate aka girlfriend, I sent her with Wonder Woman to the Watchtower, they will be in my room while she gets rest so please don't disturb her, after I get back and she wakes up, for now please don't treat her as a criminal as that part of her is but a memory and she is gonna turn a new leaf"
This realization made everyone quiet down again, and then all Katerina heard were sighs of exasperation and exhaustion
The one to speak up this time was batman
"Starscreech, Batman here, now I'm not sure if I speak for everyone, but i will say that i don't care for this situation...but as long as you say she isn't a threat anymore and willing to help we can overlook her past...actions..albeit as long as she doesn't do anything bad from now on. Anyone who objects speak up"
Everyone was quiet for a few moments, after that Katerina said her thanks and hung up the device.
"Alright, a two more stops, first stop, a date with a plant lady"
Katerina smiled softly as light enveloped her and wings sprouted from her back as she took off out the window to a certain direction.
