Chapter 4: Caster

Class: Caster

Alternate Classes: None

True Name: Irida

Alias: Priestess of Vast Space, Shrine Maiden of Palkia, Head of the Pearl Clan

Alignment: Neutral Good

Attribute: Sky

Origin: Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Armament: Celestica Flute, Pokemon and Lustrous Globe

History: She was but a child, but even from then she held reverence for the vastness of Hisui that they, her clan, and all others who lived in the land, were blessed with. Through her efforts, she rose through the ranks and even became the head of her clan at a young age. But yet, uncertainty plagued her, doubt gnawed at her. The vastness of the world she was within, while she loved it, no doubt made her struggle with finding her true place in it, and how to live up to the expectations that had been placed upon her.

But she endured, and eventually, she met someone whom she could call a friend who would help her find her way through this vast, boundless world.

This friend, from a land beyond the lands of Hisui, displaced in both time and space, supported her, and so too did she support them. Through their bond, she came to understand this vast world in truth, she began to understand the strength that came from bonds. And when the end was imminent, she heard the voice of the one her clan revered and learned their true name. The one who holds domain over the vastness of space, the infinite expanse. Like an ocean ever onward. Hearing their voice, they supported their friend, as they quelled the frenzied incarnations of space and time, and at the same time discovered what is it they desired most of all.

Not simply to lead their clan, but to truly experience the vastness of this world that they have been granted, this gift that could never be repaid in full. It is through this desire and her connection with the ruler of space, the legendary Pokemon known as Palika, that she answers the summons, acting as their priestess and shrine maiden.

For what better way to repay the gift of this vast world, than to answer the call to protect it?

Parameters:

Strength: E

Agility: D

Constitution: EX

Mana: B

Luck: A+

NP: EX

Class Skills:

Territory Creation: A++

A skill consisting of the ability to create an advantageous terrain as a magus. At the rank of A++, Caster is capable of the creation of a "Shrine". This Shrine exists with the world but yet exists everywhere and nowhere, a place where the vastness of space exists within a singular location but cannot be found normally. As such, it is a sacred place that cannot be influenced from the outside, nor can the inside of the Shrine be truly observed by those outside it. However, should one journey to it all are free to enter, as this Shrine accepts all, for all exist within the Space that Palkia governs. Within this Shrine the divine powers of Palkia fill the very space, and the cost of maintaining her summons, utilizing Palkia's authorities and her Noble Phantasms become insignificant. Additionally, Irida's ability to utilize Palkia's authorities to the full capability she is capable of greatly increases. It is truly a space where Palkia, and by extension Irida, rules completely.

Personal Skills:

Divine Core of the Ruler of Space: C

A composite Skill that comprises the Skill Divinity, preserves the absoluteness of the mind and the body, repels all mental interference, and prevents the user from being influenced by the altered state of the world or special warping effects. Furthermore, the divine power of Palkia prevents all but the strongest of magecraft from influencing Irida, acting as Magic Resistance of the rank of A.

Palkia is one of the original Pokemon, created to rule over the vastness of space. In itself, it is a divine being of the highest quality, a being capable of being confused for the head god of a mythology in of itself. A boundless being with the capability to remake the world itself with its vast power. This divinity, this power, is fed into Irida when summoned as a servant, making her their Shrine Maiden, their Priestess, as well as, in a sense, a Divided Spirit of Palkia. As such, due to Palkia's identity as a dragon, it also grants her the Dragon Attribute. Therefore Irida possesses a Divine Core, however, its quality is greatly reduced due to her nature as a human intermediary and vessel for Palkia's true power.

But even so diminished, it is still the power of the Ruler of Space, the infinite vastness of this world and worlds beyond.

Summoning - Pokemon: EX

During her life, Irida lived with Pokémon side by side. The ways of the Pearl Clan, which predated the invention of Pokeballs, was to live with their chosen partners side by side, as equals. While she came to understand the value of Pokeballs through the actions and values of her friend, she never truly became what could be known as a Pokémon Trainer. She was the clan head of the Pearl Clan, and as such even if their traditions faded with time, she would honor them. But yet, perhaps to honor her friend, she still carries one as a means of summoning her Partner Pokémon.

As such, Irida is capable of summoning her Pokémon partners to her side to aid her in battle. Glaceon, Flareon, and Espeon will all answer her calls, for they are more than just partners, they are family who lived their whole lives at each other's side.

The bonds that tie People and Pokemon fostered through love and friendship, are a source of true strength beyond all others.

Weak Constitution (Heat): A

Irida was raised as a member of the Pearl Clan, which finds its home within the Alabaster Icelands, a freezing land of cold and ice, and was even trained by the Warden who watches over the Lord of the Tundra, a Man who climbes the life threatening icy terrain of the Icelands with nothing but his own hands, not taking the smallest effort to protect himself from the cold.

As such, perhaps Irida was doomed from the start, as while she possess an phenomenal tolerance for Cold, to the point it has been engrained into her spirit origin making usage of ice and cold associated attacks against her nearly useless, it has also has had the inverse effect. In other words, she is impossibly weak to heat.

Even in normal temperate environments, she finds herself uncomfortable, and uses the cold generated by her partner Pokémon, Glaceon, to keep herself cool, along with copious fanning. While in life she could even withstand the scorching heat of the Lava Dome in which Heatran dwelled, due to records of her intolerance for heat being preserved in the Pearl Clan and passed down as an amusing anecdote leading to it being exaggerated, it has caused her to have an extreme weakness in heat. In the face of even tropical temperature, Irida finds it hard to even focus, and in the face of scorching heat, she takes exceedingly more damage than normal. However, this does not apply to the warmth produced by living beings for some reason, simply external factors. As such, fire or lava-based attacks show an increase of effectiveness similar to the degree Anti-dragon attacks have on those with the dragon attribute.

However, oddly enough, the flames of her partner Pokemon, Flareon, or the flames produced by the Lord of the Isles, don't seem to have any additional effect on her. Such is the strength of the bond between Pokémon and its partner.

Blessed Traversal of this Vast Land: EX

A skill born of a union of Irida's wonder at the vast world, her desire to experience what else dwells within it, as well as Palkia's authority as the Ruler of Space itself. A skill denoting a journey through the world. No obstacle cannot be overcome, no terrain in which a path cannot be found, no place which cannot be reached. Space itself warps to allow Irida and those she is traveling with passage anywhere in a far shorter amount of time than would be possible, so long as the journey is still undertaken. This skill also allows the complete bypassing of territories, and bounded fields, or even allows for Irida and companions to come and go from Reality Marbles as they please.

So long as one walks the path, the vastness of this world is open to them. As such, no place is truly out of reach.

The Sea in Which All Resides: B

The boundlessness of the sea stretches ever into the horizon. A symbol of the unknown, of this boundless world in which all things reside. The flow of space, where things reside, expanding onward, waiting for all to explore. Palkia commands it all, who guards it all, who watches over it all.

The symbol of Palkia is a pearl. The product of life that dwells within the boundless sea. The sea itself is a representation of the vastness of this world, which embodies the potential it possesses. To Palkia, Space is like water, it flows and shifts and provides a home for life. As such, Palkia is closely associated with water, with liquid, that which flows and shifts to fill its space, but remains as it is a cohesive whole.

Due to this, Palkia possesses limited authority over liquids. To guide the sea and waves, to produce massive surges of water to crush its foes or to heal and protect. As his Shrine Maiden and Priestess, his chosen intermediary, Irida also possesses such ability, capable of controlling water like powerful magecraft from the Age of Gods

For what is Space but the Sea in which all things reside?

Spatial Command: EX

Direct application of Palkia's authority to command space. Focused through an orb she carries or through songs played on her flute. Palkia's authority over space is such that if unopposed, it could remake the very fabric of the world itself. While Irida does not hold such a level of power, even a fragment of the Ruler of Space's Authority is beyond the scope of human understanding.

With this great authority, Irida is capable of incredible feats of magecraft that step clearly into the realms of true magic, from the creation of territories to teleportation, to carving away the world itself to attack her foes. It is an almighty power that resembles magecraft but is in truth the authority of what could only be called a God. However, it is important to note that while Palkia's ability can interfere with time due to the closeness of Time and Space, it has no actual authority over it.

Noble Phantasm:

Celestica Flute – That Which Sings the Song of Origin

Rank: B

Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-Army

Long ago, Almighty Sinnoh entrusted to 10 chosen Pokemon their plates, blessed them with power and entrusted them to guard the land of Hisui they had created. These Pokemon, guided by the first hero of Hisui, saved the land from disaster. But after their duty was done, they found companionship with the clans who found new homes in the land of Hisui, the Pearl and Diamond clans.

These Clans would watch over these Pokémon, entrusting Wardens to tend to their needs and to foster their successors when their lives eventually came to an end. Preserving the blessings of Almghty Sinnoh for ages. To aid in their task, the members of the Pearl and Diamond Clans used the Celestica Flute. A beautiful silver flute whose song echoed across the vastness of Hisui. The chosen Pokemon adored this song, this song that echoed in the sounds of Almighty Sinnoh, and as such heed the call of those who play it and have earned their trust.

However, none loved the flute as much as Irida, who would play it freely, hearing the sound echo across the vast land, and finding peace within it. For this sound brought her closer not only to Almighty Sinnoh, to her Lord Palkia, but to all that lived within this world they have been granted. To the endless possibilities this boundless world possessed.

Even without invoking this Noble Phantasm, Irida can focus the power of Palkia's authorities across the vastness of space, her songs shifting the world itself. When invoked, however, Irida is capable of calling upon the five Pokemon chosen by All Mighty Sinnoh which the Pearl Clan watched over long ago due to the combination of her authority as Palkia's chosen and the head of the Pearl Clan. Ursaluna, to which nothing can be hidden. Sneasler, to which no barrier cannot be overcome. Kleavor, Lord of the Forest. Arcanine, Lord of the Isles. Avalugg, Lord of the Tundra.

Each of the Pokémon possesses the blessings of Almighty Sinnoh and holds immense power. The three Lords possess power greater than the other Pokemon Irida can call upon, being capable of matching even powerful servants, empowered by the might of the Lord of Space itself. However, this power does not come without a cost, and as such Irida can only summon one of them at a time if she is forced to do so outside her Shrine. However, should they not be used for combat, Ursaluna and Sneasler can be maintained indefinitely.

Lustrous Globe – Where Origin Resides

Rank: EX

Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-World

All reside within the world. We gain knowledge to give it shape, we feel emotion to ascribe it meaning, and with our will we move through it, experience all it has to offer from it, and grow as living things. We reach out into this vastness, and through it, we find meaning and joy.

Within this world, we live. Within this world, we are.

It is by living within this world, by existing within this vast world, that all things possess meaning.

Even though it might crush us, even though we might experience hardship, even though the weight of time might press down upon us, the world is always there. It awaits us to experience it, to live through it, to know it, to be within it.

No matter how people try and tame this world, no matter how we try and shape and make it lesser, the vastness of the world is beyond us truly. Beyond any being's ability to truly know and see, even across a million lifetimes.

That is the gift we have all been granted, that is what Palkia watches over. And in the protection of such a creation, given to all by Almighty Sinnoh, Palkia cannot sit idly by.

This Noble Phantasm takes the form of a Lustrous Pearl Orb, similar to a crystal ball in size, that shines inexplicably in the light. Irida uses this orb as a catalyst for Palkia's authorities. Even without the invocation of this Noble Phantasm, this orb can be used as a weapon, moving through space with but a thought, an unbreakable 'point' which cannot be shaken and all yields to. But, more importantly, when it is manifested, this orb contains Irida's Spiritual Core, and so, while she can still be killed through conventional damage to her body, it is much harder even in the case of lethal damage.

But within this orb, there lies even greater power. With the invocation of this Noble Phantasm, Irida is capable of summoning the Almighty Palkia to aid her in battle in its normal form. Within this form, Palkia's power is of that of the strongest of servants. While it cannot exercise its true authority over space, the staggering power Palkia possesses would overwhelm even the strongest of servants. As a consequence of summoning this immeasurably powerful being, however, the Authorities Irida borrows from Palkia will return to them so long as they stay manifested, making her unable to command space or summon and control water, leaving her with just her partner Pokémon and using the Lustrous Globe as a weapon.

But, this orb holds one more secret. When pushed to her limits, Irida can make the ultimate sacrifice, shattering the Lustrous Globe and ending her own existence instantly. But by doing so, the incredible power of Origin that resides within the core of the Lustrous Globe is released in full.

With this act, Palkia's power becomes unbound, beyond the scope of even the Red Chain to bind in full. The might of Origin fills it, and reverts it to its true form. It's Origin Form.

Bear witness to that which Rules all of Space, and despair.
