Chapter 21: Rasengan

It wasn't that people didn't understand the utility of the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

The problem was that their chakra reserves weren't nearly sufficient to use it. This technique also imposed extraordinary physical and mental demands. Even if someone barely managed to meet the chakra requirements, using this technique could cause severe mental strain upon dispelling the clones, potentially driving an ordinary person insane. This is precisely why the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu was sealed away in the Scroll of Seals as a forbidden technique.

Naruto observed the solid, tangible clone he had just created and nodded in satisfaction.

To succeed on his very first try demonstrated his innate talent for this particular jutsu.

With a subtle mental command, Naruto's shadow clone nodded slightly.

With a faint sound—

—it vanished from sight.

Since he had already created it, there was no need to keep it idle. Although there was still some time before Mizuki would arrive, Naruto decided to assign his clone to scout the surroundings, just in case.

Once the shadow clone had left, Naruto sat back down, legs crossed, to wait patiently.

At this point, he had no intention of trying out any other techniques. Firstly, it would risk drawing attention. Secondly, he wanted to make the most of the time available to him. Every second counted as he worked to learn as many techniques as possible.

Most importantly, his primary goal tonight was to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique.

However, as always, things rarely went as Naruto hoped.

Despite flipping through the scroll repeatedly in search of the Flying Thunder God Technique and the Eight Inner gates, he found neither. Even worse, he discovered that about one-fifth of the way through the scroll, he could no longer turn the pages. No matter how much force he applied, the scroll wouldn't budge. It was as if some invisible power was locking the remaining content in place.

This realization left Naruto stunned. After trying every method he could think of to unlock the scroll, his face darkened.

'Damn it! No wonder that old man seemed so confident and unconcerned, not even showing any concern about me stealing this. Turns out he had already prepared for this!' Naruto thought through gritted teeth.

It had to be some kind of sealing technique that blocked access to the rest of the scroll.

This was likely not something specific to his current world but rather a safeguard present in Canon as well. The Naruto of the original timeline hadn't noticed because he was too simple-minded and had only learned the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu without trying to access further content.

Now, however, with Naruto specifically aiming for high-level techniques like the Flying Thunder God and Eight Inner Gates, he had walked straight into the trap set by the Third Hokage.

"This crafty old geezer! I hope the next time you sneak into the women's bathhouse, you run into a pack of old grannies instead!"

He couldn't help but curse aloud.Since the Third Hokage currently watching him with the Crystal Ball Technique, venting some frustration felt a bit good. it also shows his character being similar to the one he formulated for 11 years.

Naruto gave up on accessing the rest of the scroll. Instead, he flipped back to the earlier sections to see if there were any other worthwhile techniques to learn. Since all the recorded jutsu were at least A-rank, he figured he might as well pick up something useful, even if it wasn't what he originally aimed for.

Sure enough, there were a couple of highly practical techniques listed early on, which caught his attention. One of them, in particular, made Naruto's eyes narrow as he read its name.

"Rasengan."

The Rasengan, developed by his father, the Fourth Hokage—Minato Namikaze—was inspired by the Tailed Beast Bomb. It was an unsealed A-rank technique that didn't require hand signs to use. In Canon, this jutsu became Naruto's signature offensive technique, evolving into variations like the Giant Rasengan and the Rasen Shuriken.

Naruto knew that praticing this technique is not only Useless during his time at the academy but its super difficult since he didn't have access to the shadow clones. he knows the way on how to do it, especially using rubber balls, but he could never explain how he knew about the method with kiruzen spying on him.

that is why, he kept it aside, only intending to learn it when he goes out of the village by sending Shadow clones to train on his behalf.

he still reads the Instructions given in the scroll of sealings, to make sure it is all correct.

'It all comes down to chakra control,Compressing it into a spiraling form.' Naruto Thought as he examined the technique's detailed notes left by his father.

The technique required focused chakra rotation, creating a spiral centered on a single point. The goal was to compress the chakra as much as possible before releasing it explosively.

'Looks like my training schedule needs some adjustments,' Naruto thought to himself.

Just as he finished reading through the Rasengan's key principles and turned his attention to other jutsu in the scroll, seeing many different variants of the Clone technique..

'Clone Great Explosion, Shiruiken Shadow Clone Technique, and even Fūma Shuriken Shadow Clone' seeing all of these variant techniques of the shadow clone, Naruto remembers the hand sign and reads the instructions given to the jutsu carefully, not being like the original Naruto where he didn't read the informations.

as he looks through it, he notices a jutsu that he has no idea of.

'Spirit Transformation?' Naruto's eyes widen a lot after reading this. he just cannot believe what is written on the discription of this jutsu. a S-Rank jutsu that allows the user to leave their body in a form of a spirit, instantly killing their target or control other people's own spirit. 

the creator of this was Dan Kato, Naruto does not know what that is. he tries to remember someone with that Name, but with 11 years in this world, his memory has become fuzzy, only him remembering the main plot, and nothing else.

He creates a shadow clone, giving it a scroll to write the technique in. this jutsu is incredibly difficult to learn, and he doesn't know WHY Hiruzen left it here instead of sealing it like the rest of the Forbidden techniques. The clone writes the discription as well as the hand seals, while Narutop tries to look for something else.

but, A piece of information surfaced in his brain—a signal sent by the shadow clone he had sent out earlier. Naruto had instructed the clone to dispel itself if it spotted the target.

The moment the message entered his mind, Naruto froze momentarily before breaking into a sly grin.

'Well, well... Looks like the show is starting earlier than expected. But that's fine. The stage is set, and the actors are ready. It's time for the curtain to rise.' Naruto dusted himself off, rolled up the Scroll of Seals, and slung it over his shoulder. With a leap, he vanished into the shadows of the night, heading toward his next move.
