My Life as a Farm Owner in a Thriller World

Chapter 7: Dark Farm 3

Wen Xirou wanted to scold her to shut up. Before she could say anything, she saw Wan Qian actively walk over to the bed closest to the mirror.

"I'll sleep on this bed, you don't mind, do you?" Wan Qian carefully examined the bed and found that it had the best lighting. The wind outside the window blew gently, making it particularly cool.

"No, no," Wen Xirou replied repeatedly. As expected of a big shot, selflessly putting herself in the most dangerous spot to protect them.

Wan Qian felt a little embarrassed. She had taken the bed with the best lighting and ventilation the moment she arrived.

"If you have any objections, feel free to speak up," Wan Qian added.

"No, no."

"We have no objections."

Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin shook their heads like a rattle. The rules were clear—there was an issue with the wardrobe. They would only be worried about being too close to the wardrobe.

Wen Xirou hesitated for a moment but still kindly reminded her.

"Big shot, please be careful."

Wan Qian nodded indifferently, "Mm, mm."

Seeing Wan Qian take it so lightly, Wen Xirou didn't feel so scared of the mirror anymore.

She thought for a moment, then gave the bed farthest from the mirror to Xiao Lin, and slept between Xiao Lin and Wan Qian.

"By the way, big shot," Wen Xirou remembered the extra person and decided to tell Wan Qian.

She unconsciously lowered her voice, speaking carefully, "Did you notice, when we were assigning dorms, it seemed like there was one more person than when we arrived?"

Wan Qian, who had just started to relax, instantly became alert again. Was this a hint? Definitely a hint, right?

Wen Xirou was hinting that she already knew she was the extra person, the undercover agent who had infiltrated the interns!

But even so, she shouldn't expect to get any shortcuts from her!

Wan Qian looked at Wen Xirou with a serious expression.

"Wen Xirou."

"P...Please, go ahead," Wen Xirou was startled by Wan Qian's serious attitude. She thought, could this be really serious?

Wan Qian sighed. "Originally, I didn't want to say this directly. But since you've brought it up, it's hard for me to hide it anymore."

Isn't it better to just play dumb? You're so pretty, at worst, you could get a front desk job at our farm with your looks. Why do you have to take shortcuts?

Seeing Wan Qian's serious attitude, Wen Xirou started to panic. It seemed like this was really serious. Even the big shot was telling her to play dumb and not mention it—was bringing it up going to break some rule?

Wan Qian noticed the slightly panicked expression on Wen Xirou's face and understood a bit more. It seemed that Wen Xirou also knew that taking shortcuts was not a good thing.

"But don't worry—"

Although Wen Xirou's actions were inappropriate, I can't completely dismiss her just because of this one thing. As long as she's willing to correct herself, it's a good thing.

"Our farm has its own rules. Even I can't easily break them. But as long as you follow the rules, everything can be discussed. Don't think too much. Just stick to the regulations. The two-week internship period will pass quickly."

After Wan Qian finished speaking, she was satisfied to see a look of realization appear on Wen Xirou's face. This was the right way—don't use these little tricks in the future. Follow the farm rules, work hard, and you'll have the opportunity to finish the internship and get regularized soon.

Wan Qian patted Wen Xirou on the shoulder. "Alright, it's getting late. Hurry up and wash up in the bathroom, then get some rest."

With that, Wan Qian opened her small storage cabinet beside her bed.

Inside, there was a white uniform for changing, along with a copy of the "Farm Employee Code (Volume 1)."

Wan Qian had already read the code. Noticing that Wen Xirou hadn't read it yet, she reminded her as she took her clean clothes to the bathroom.

"The Employee Code is in the storage cabinet. Make sure to read it carefully."

Wen Xirou stood in place, still processing what Wan Qian had just said.

What does being a big shot mean? This is what a big shot looks like! Not only did she find two sets of rules in such a short amount of time, but she also studied them so thoroughly!

That's right, even if there is indeed a non-human entity mixed in with them, what does it matter? As long as they follow the big shot's advice and stick to the rules, it wouldn't be able to do anything to them.

Even the crisis of living with the ghosts and monsters for a full two weeks was nothing more than something that would "pass quickly" in the eyes of the big shot!

Wen Xirou felt that she had definitely latched onto the right person. She turned to Xiao Lin, speaking earnestly.

"Xiao Lin, this time, we just need to stick with the big shot. Not only is she powerful, but she's also kind-hearted. She's not only taking the most dangerous spot for herself, but she's also guiding us everywhere."

"We'll follow her lead, do our best to cooperate with her, avoid giving her any trouble, and try to be safely led out by her."

Xiao Lin was quick to understand, immediately responding, "I understand, I understand, Sister Xirou, we'll follow Sister Wan."

Wen Xirou and Xiao Lin had made up their minds to follow Wan Qian closely. Naturally, they listened to Wan Qian's advice and retrieved the "Farm Employee Code" from the storage cabinet to read.

Over thirty rules, plus the six dormitory rules. It's far more than Wen Xirou encountered in her first two entries into the Thriller World.

This is just the beginning of entering the haunted realm! This haunted realm must be truly extraordinary.

Because these were matters of life and death, Wen Xirou didn't dare to slack off and carefully went through each rule, memorizing them. Whether they were accurate or not, she would judge that later.

The public bathroom was at the end of the dormitory corridor.

The dormitory had six floors in total, with the first floor being the cafeteria. The other five floors each had ten rooms.

The interns were assigned to the second floor, occupying nine rooms, and the room closest to the public bathroom was left vacant.

When Wan Qian reached the bathroom, the farm's broadcast system just announced:

"Ding—The current time is 7:00 PM. Weather: Cloudy, with a light breeze."

It was just the right time for bathroom use.
