Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Everyone Attack Together
Su Hao's name quickly spread like wildfire among the new students. Everyone now knew that a monstrous talent had emerged—someone by the name of Wu Xiangwu. Not only the freshmen, but even the academy's teachers had heard of his name and the story of how he fought for first place in the martial training grounds. What intrigued them the most was that Jin Datong, who was usually seen by the new students as a prison warden, had actually lost his composure in front of this new student.
All the teachers were eager to see how this talented freshman would perform.
But for Su Hao, this was no big deal. He was only here to get his money, and everything else was of little concern to him.
To his satisfaction, the very next day, after the class assignments were finalized, Su Hao received his 10 gold crowns in full view of everyone. In an instant, he went from being poor to rich. Su Hao promptly tore up the IOU, while Jin Datong remained silent throughout the entire process.
It was only then that Su Hao noticed the class he had been assigned to and his instructor.
Su Hao was placed in Class 8, and the instructor was a bald, muscular man named Liu Changle, known as "Old Baldy Liu." The two scars on his face made his smile appear menacing and fierce.
There were no familiar faces in Su Hao's class. Little Fatty and He Qingqing had been assigned to different classes, though Su Hao wasn't sure which ones yet.
Su Hao glanced around, noticing that everyone in the class was looking at him with a mixture of awe and fear, as if they were staring at a rare panda—eager to approach but too scared to get too close.
Su Hao inwardly mocked the situation but decided to ignore it. 'Just a bunch of kids', he thought. If anyone dared to mess with him, he'd take them down one by one and make them cry.
Old Baldy Liu led Su Hao and the others to one side and began with a simple self-introduction. Then he formally announced, "Your task is simple: training. Endless training. You'll learn hand-to-hand combat, the use and maintenance of blades, spears, hammers, shields, wilderness survival, and most importantly, real combat..."
Old Baldy Liu's voice was low and powerful as he calmly outlined the daily routine for the students.
"Our first step in training is simple—running!"
"What? More running?" The memory of running until they were half-dead yesterday was still fresh in everyone's minds.
Old Baldy Liu remained serious as he said, "Of course. Based on yesterday's performance, except for Wu Xiangwu, the rest of you were unqualified. A strong body and enduring stamina are prerequisites for becoming a powerful warrior. So, once you can all easily run 20 laps, we'll move on to the next part of your training."
One student raised a hand and asked, "Teacher Liu, does Wu Xiangwu also need to run?"
Old Baldy Liu immediately turned his gaze to Su Hao and said sternly, "No one gets special treatment."
Su Hao nodded to Old Baldy Liu, then walked over to the student who had asked the question. "What's your name?" Su Hao asked.
The student looked nervous and stammered, "My name is Rong Guming. What... what do you want?"
Su Hao nodded and said, "Alright, Rong Guming. Let me make something clear: you don't need to worry about my business."
Then, without warning, Su Hao punched Rong Guming, sending him flying through the air. Blood and spit splattered as he collapsed to the ground, unconscious, before he could even utter a sound.
The rest of the class collectively jumped in shock. Su Hao's brutal display made everyone's scalp tingle with fear. Even Old Baldy Liu couldn't help but twitch, instinctively running a hand over his shiny bald head.
Though Old Baldy Liu looked fierce, among the eight instructors, he was considered one of the more straightforward and strict ones. He knew why Su Hao had been assigned to his class—none of the other instructors wanted to deal with someone like him, passing the problem onto Old Baldy Liu.
In his mind, Old Baldy Liu believed all students should be treated equally. There was no such thing as a "problem student." So, he had readily accepted Su Hao into his class. Now, it seemed he had been a bit too naive.
Who had ever heard of someone knocking out a classmate on the first day?
Su Hao scanned the room and shouted, "Once again, stay out of my business! Do you all understand?"
One student, hiding behind others, muttered in defiance, "He just asked a question, and you hit him! That's not right! Don't you all agree?"
Su Hao raised an eyebrow and asked, "Should I not have hit him?"
Seeing that Su Hao wasn't making a move, the students began to grow bolder.
"Yeah! Why hit someone over that?"
"No matter how strong you are, you can't do whatever you want!"
"So what if you're strong? There are over 40 of us—do you think we're afraid of you?"
Su Hao made a mental note of each student who spoke out. A smile crept across his face. He had been waiting for this opportunity. By making a powerful move now, he could save himself a lot of future trouble.
He glanced at Old Baldy Liu, who stood there with his arms crossed, silently watching without intervening. Feeling reassured, Su Hao started walking toward the freckled boy who had spoken first.
The freckled boy, remembering what had happened to Rong Guming, felt his legs go weak. But pride and dignity as a man couldn't be ignored. He forced himself to call out to the others, "Come on, everyone! We're warriors too! If we all attack him, we can knock him down! Otherwise, he'll think he's some kind of god lording over us."
His words instantly ignited the crowd.
They had all been training since childhood. Who among them hadn't gotten into fights before? With over 40 people on their side, were they really going to be afraid of just one person? Ridiculous!
"Beat him!" "Everyone, attack together!"
As soon as the call to action went out, someone made the first move. Once one person started, the others followed, rushing toward Su Hao in a frenzy.
Su Hao simply smiled. There was no need for more words—he would just charge straight through them.
And so, an utterly one-sided brawl unfolded in the martial training grounds, drawing the attention of students from other classes as well.
Su Hao moved like a human wrecking ball. Anyone who got within two meters of him was hit so hard they flew back, crying out in pain as they crashed to the ground, unable to get back up.
"Ahhh∼!" "Oof∼!"
Those who were sent flying found themselves piled on top of each other, groaning and rolling on the ground.
In just a few moments, everyone except for a few quiet girls had been knocked down by Su Hao.
Some students, sensing the situation wasn't in their favor, smartly lay down on the ground to pretend they were already defeated. But they couldn't escape Su Hao's swift and powerful kicks, sending them flying anyway.
Others, who were more resilient, managed to get back up after being hit, only to be struck down again by Su Hao.
Soon enough, no one dared to stand up. They all lay on the ground, clutching their injuries and groaning in pain.
Several students even started crying, helplessly looking to Old Baldy Liu for help.
Finally, Old Baldy Liu stepped forward, speaking sternly to Su Hao, "Wu Xiangwu, that's enough."
Su Hao immediately nodded and replied respectfully, "Okay, Teacher Liu."
He had to give the instructor some face.
Old Baldy Liu then addressed the rest of the class, "Stop lying around and get up."
The students, still too afraid to stand, hesitantly looked toward Su Hao.
Su Hao shot them a fierce glare and barked, "Are you all deaf? Didn't you hear Teacher Liu?"
Grumbling inwardly, the students slowly climbed to their feet, too terrified to protest any further.
Only Rong Guming still lay on the ground, motionless.
"It seems someone's still playing deaf. Looks like I need to help fix that," Su Hao said coldly as he walked toward Rong Guming.
Rong Guming, sensing danger, scrambled to his feet and backed away in panic.
But Su Hao wasn't going to let him off that easily. In a flash, he was beside Rong Guming, delivering a vicious side kick.
"Ah∼!" Rong Guming screamed as he was sent flying several meters, rolling on the ground and crying in agony.
Su Hao coolly remarked, "Since you're not deaf, how dare you ignore Teacher Liu's words? You deserved that."
"Hissss∼ —" The entire class inhaled sharply.
This guy was beyond ruthless.
Old Baldy Liu clapped his hands and said, "Alright, this little drama is over. Now, get running."
As soon as he finished speaking, the students immediately started running, competing to see who could start first.
Su Hao smirked and followed behind the others.
Old Baldy Liu ran a hand over his bald head, clicking his tongue in amazement, "This works pretty well!"
