My hero academia:Am I worthy?

Chapter 1: Chapter 1:The person from whom my story began

Quirkless**

**Incompetent**

**Underdeveloped**

**Inferior**

**Unworthy**

All these words have haunted my life. I truly feel incompetent, as many people say. In an age of quirks, people without quirks have always been considered inferior. But it wasn't always like this. When the first "zero" patient was documented in the city of Cin Cin in China, a new era in human history began. It was unprecedented; people did not understand how it worked. Subsequently, during the age of quirks, people considered it a curse.

People with quirks constantly faced discrimination; they were seen as heretics and catalysts for suffering. After several years of the emergence of quirks, chaos, destruction, and disorder began, known as the "Dark Age of Quirks." This chaos lasted for decades. People believed that the government would help them and protect them from this plague, but that was a mistake. No one could be trusted, not even themselves, because one never knew if a quirk would awaken or not. In a normal society without quirks, gaining a quirk was considered the worst thing possible. Human nature is such that it fears what it has never seen and tries to rid itself of it. Thus, fear surrounded all people on Earth. People completely revealed their animalistic nature; they began to kill those with quirks. The last had no choice but to defend themselves, but soon their numbers began to grow each day, showing the world a new gift bestowed upon humanity. And from that day on, the world of humans turned 180°.

**In Our Time**

"Happy Birthday, my son!"

Answered a slender woman with green hair, dressed like a typical housewife with a pink apron in front. Her eyes and voice radiated the trust and love that only a mother could give to her child. She was the best person in my life.

"The father who was supposed to raise me left without keeping his promise."

But let's take it from the beginning.

Izuku Midoriya is an ordinary child with rather naive ideas of becoming a professional hero like all the other children his age. He is now four years old, an age at which a person usually first manifests their quirk depending on their parents or ancestry. His mother was worried that he constantly watched reports of the feats of All Might, who is the symbol of peace in Japan.

Midoriya wanted to be like him so much that every chance he got, he copied his phrases, techniques, and signature laugh, bringing joy to his mother and causing her to smile warmly. After all, what could be better than when your four-year-old son shines brighter than the sun, infecting everyone with his aura of heroism and joy?

"Oh, my little hero, come here and let me hug you!"

Putting aside her cooking, Inko picked up her son, who didn't resist, showing his caring smile and hugging his mother tightly.

"But Mom, I'm not little; I'm grown-up!"

Pouting, he looked at his mother with a comically offended face, which made Inko stroke his unruly green hair.

"Don't forget, my son, even when you grow up, you will always remain my little, sweet, and kind Izuku."

At those words, Izuku felt warmth in his heart. Unable to resist his desires, he wrapped his little arms around his mother's neck, giving his love to her. But they completely forgot about the food burning right behind them. Izuku quickly called out to his mother with his words:

"MOM, THE FOOD IS BURNING!"

Hearing this, his mother quickly set her son down and desperately tried to extinguish the food on the stove.

"My son, open the window. Unfortunately, the food is burnt."

Feeling a pang of guilt in his heart, Izuku desperately apologized, trying to find comfort in her words.

"Mom, I'm sorry! I didn't want to; I didn't want to disturb you, and now because of me, we're left without dinner."

His eyes began to glisten, and tears started to gather at the corners of his eyes, which made his mother look at her son with pity. Unable to bear her son's sadness, Inko approached Izuku, placing her hand on his head and slowly stroking his unruly green hair. Listening to his sobs, she could no longer hold back and firmly replied:

"Son, look at me."

Izuku raised his gaze to his mother, who gave him a reassuring smile, which made him feel calmer inside.

"But Mom, because of me, we're left without dinner."

"Son, you need to stop being so critical of yourself. I am not upset with you. You are a hero, and heroes are prone to making mistakes."

Inko did her best to soothe Izuku, and he, in turn, started to accept his mother's gentle and supportive words. But there was one question that haunted the future hero very much:

"Did even All Might make mistakes?"

Izuku asked in a trembling voice, as it was hard to believe that the idol of millions of children and the symbol of peace who saved people with a smile on his face could ever make mistakes. Izuku had many things related to him, and even now, he was dressed in All Might's bronze age costume with a yellow cape.

"Yes, my son, even All Might made mistakes at the beginning of his career. He is brave and cheerful, just like you."

Inko smiled at her son, and he wiped his tears, stretching his best smile.

"Don't worry, Mom, I will protect you from all troubles. You are the best mom in the WORLD!!!"

With a loud voice like All Might, he shouted, eliciting her laughter.

"Mom, what are we having for dinner?"

Izuku's stomach growled, causing his mother to smile and pick up the phone that lay on the table.

"Don't worry, my son, we will order delicious pizza, not one, but even two!"

At this announcement, Izuku's eyes lit up with stars. Inko talked on the phone, ordering pizza while Izuku hugged her leg tightly.

In a joyful tone, she informed her son that she had ordered the food and that the courier should arrive in half an hour. While waiting for the food, they decided to play together. Inko worried that Izuku's father was not around at such an important moment. Tomorrow would be the quirk test for their son, and he wouldn't be there that day.

---

**Hizashi** was hardworking, but work consumed him so much that sometimes he forgot about his family. He was terrified that Izuku would not accept him as a family member since he had only been present a few times in Izuku's life. When Izuku was born, he watched with tears in his eyes as he cried; his joy knew no bounds. But at that moment, something changed in his gaze.

His eyes became cold and resolute. For about a year, he was constantly around. The first person Izuku saw was Hizashi. But on Izuku's second birthday, Hizashi delivered some unsettling news to Inko.

"Inko, I have bad news," he said in a sad tone, knowing that his wife was a ray of light for Hizashi, who had lived his entire conscious life in the darkness of his quirk.

After putting Izuku to bed, Inko stepped out of the room, carefully closing the door.

"Inko, I'm sorry, but I will have to leave for an indefinite period. Our financial situation is deteriorating. If I don't take action, I may put our son's future at risk."

With bitterness and regret, the family man conveyed the unpleasant news to his wife, but Inko refused to accept it, responding to him in a sad tone:

"But Hizashi, Izuku needs you, and I will need you too. You can't leave us."

Barely finishing her sentence, she cried, unable to hold back her tears. As long as he could remember, Hizashi had known her to be emotional; any bad news affected her negatively. Not wanting to upset the love of his life, he hugged her, comforting her pain by gently stroking her back. Hizashi understood that if he left now, the figure of the father whom his son would need would disappear. But he also understood that he was putting his family in danger.

"I understand, my love. I'm sorry to say this, but I have to go. I won't leave you without money; I will send you money, but I'm not sure when I can return to you. For both of you, I'm ready to take enormous risks. Forgive me, Izuku."

A lonely tear rolled down the man's cheek as he didn't want to leave them, but he had to do it as a loving father and provider for his family. Inko hugged him so tightly that he gasped for air. Tears rolled down her cheeks as the thought that an important figure in her son's childhood would leave for an indefinite period left a huge hole in her heart, but there was nothing she could do in this situation. Gritting her teeth, she had to accept this proposal.

"Promise me you'll return. Promise you won't leave Izuku alone."

"I promise and swear on my life that I won't leave you alone, no matter the cost."

He released her from his embrace, and unable to hold back, he gently caressed her cheek, wiping away the tears from her lovely face. It would always remain in her heart as the most precious.

The next day, Hizashi prepared his things for departure. Reluctantly, Inko helped her husband pack. His car stood downstairs in the parking lot, and the weather outside was gloomy, hinting at rain, but it didn't stop him. He wanted to protect his family from danger and, above all, provide even if it wasn't a perfect childhood for his son. As long as he could remember, he could hardly call his childhood a childhood. In the era of quirks, he emerged from his mother's womb with his twin brother, killing her. He survived off what he could until his quirk awakened at the age of eight.

Early in the morning, the family gathered around a covered table for breakfast, decorated with various delicacies. Izuku didn't understand why such a table was set; he thought it was someone's birthday. But Hizashi, in a friendly tone, told him that it was his mother's initiative. Although strained, she smiled at both of them. Taking a camera, she photographed the two of them, speaking with joyful tears in her eyes:

"You look like two peas in a pod, my darlings."

After taking a few more pictures, the family had breakfast. At that moment, Hizashi was preparing to leave. Inko looked at him, holding both hands on her chest while Izuku stood beside her, looking at his father with joyful eyes.

"Come back soon; we will be waiting for you."

Izuku didn't understand what his mother meant; he just smiled at his father.

"Yes, Dad, come back soon, and we will play together."

At those words, Hizashi's heart was filled with warmth, and his eyes radiated only joy. At that moment, he followed the call of his soul and approached them for a hug. First, he picked up Izuku off the ground, hugging him tightly. Izuku tried to wrap his arms around his father's neck, but he couldn't quite manage it. Hizashi stroked his unruly green hair and set him down, kissing him on the forehead.

The second was his wife, who hugged him as if she was seeing him for the last time in her life. His wife wasn't a model, but for Hizashi, it didn't matter what her shape or curves were. She was beautiful and well-proportioned, but what attracted him to her was the honesty and care she radiated with all her heart. She was pure as an angel's tear, and he would do anything to give her the happiness she deserved. Finally, after saying goodbye to them, he stepped over the threshold of his door, closing it behind him. If he had known that this day would be the last time he would see Inko...

Stepping outside, his black as tar hair turned white and thick as snow, his face slightly transforming, taking on a look reminiscent of Hizashi. This person was known as All For One.
