My Hero Academia: Complete Victory

Chapter 59: Meaningless Destruction.

I've always liked AFO's 'Symbol Of Fear' status on contrast to All Might's 'Symbol Of Peace' but since MIDoriya doesn't have a title for me to use. I'll make one for my dear Shiggy.

Todoroki, having recovered from the bizarre encounter in Fuyumi's room earlier, stood in the kitchen with a singular focus. Before him sat a bowl of perfectly chilled soba noodles, the ingredients arranged meticulously. With the utmost care, he poured a measured drizzle of soy sauce over the dish, watching as it pooled in just the right spots.

"Almost…" he murmured, tilting the bottle ever so slightly to add a final touch. "Perfect. I've made the perfectly balanced bowl of cold soba…" His voice carried a hint of quiet pride as he admired his work.

Picking up the bowl, Todoroki stepped carefully out of the kitchen. He crept down the hallway with the precision of a ninja, his footsteps silent on the polished wooden floor. Fuyumi should be dealing with her hair, and Mom is asleep. If I time this right, I can enjoy my soba in peace. I just need to avoid—

"Hi."

Todoroki froze mid-step, his body rigid. His gaze snapped forward, where he found Kuro sitting cross-legged on the couch, staring at him with wide, innocent eyes.

"…Hi," Todoroki replied flatly, his tone betraying a faint resignation.

Kuro, oblivious to any plans he might have disrupted, was busy stuffing his face with chocolate bars. The wrappers lay scattered on the coffee table like a sugar-fueled tornado had passed through. A moment of silence passed between them before Kuro tentatively spoke, his mouth still full.

"You're not mad I took these from your huge fridge, right?"

Todoroki sighed, his grip on the soba bowl relaxing. "Nah. I've never seen that fridge empty anyway."

Kuro let out a dramatic sigh of relief, tossing another chocolate bar into his mouth. "Great! I was worried for a second there. But since you're here, how about some friendly bonding time? Let's watch TV!"

Todoroki hesitated but ultimately relented. It's not like I was going to get peace and quiet anyway, he thought, taking a seat on the couch beside Kuro.

Kuro grabbed the remote and began flipping through channels with the same enthusiasm he applied to just about everything. After cycling through several options, he landed on a news broadcast from The Daily Bugle.

The screen displayed a montage of crime statistics, mugshots, and scenes of recent incidents. Kuro's demeanor shifted suddenly; the usual energy in his voice gave way to an unusually calm and analytical tone.

"Currently, the rate of crime in our city—and nearby cities—has risen dramatically," Kuro began, gesturing toward the screen. "When All Might is in Japan, the average crime rate is around 0.12%. When he leaves, it spikes to 4%, mostly due to small crimes like pickpocketing and robberies. But that's changed."

Todoroki, now curious, slurped a mouthful of cold soba and nodded for him to continue.

"After the Hosu Incident, the crime rate has jumped to 13%. That's not just weird—it's specific."

Todoroki's brow furrowed as he processed the numbers. "Weird how?" he asked, swallowing another bite of soba.

Kuro leaned forward, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Crime rates don't just rise randomly like this. They spike in certain areas, sure, but when it's this sudden and widespread? It means someone is organizing the chaos. Criminals are being rallied together."

Todoroki's chopsticks paused mid-air. "…You mean someone's pulling them into one place. Like an army."

Kuro nodded, the yellow glow of the TV casting a faint sheen on his dark hair. "Exactly. And it doesn't take a genius to figure out who's at the center of it."

"Tomura Shigaraki," Todoroki said, his voice low. The name carried an air of foreboding, the memories of the League of Villains flashing briefly in his mind.

Kuro pointed at him with a chocolate bar, his tone matter-of-fact. "Bingo. With the Hosu Incident, Shigaraki just showed the world that he has access to more resources than anyone thought. He's got time to plan, a growing army of criminals, and a scientific team capable of creating things like Nomu. Right now, he's the biggest threat to hero society."

Todoroki stared down at his soba, his appetite wavering slightly as the weight of Kuro's words sank in. "…You're right. If someone like you is being this serious, then it's worse than I thought."

In an instant, Kuro's serious expression vanished, replaced by his trademark grin. He sat up straight, tossing the chocolate wrapper behind him as he beamed at Todoroki.

"Serious? Me? Nah! I'm just saying he's super overpowered right now. So that means we've gotta step it up and grow faster!"

Todoroki sighed, returning to his soba. "Of course. That's the simplest answer."

"Simple's good, right?" Kuro chirped, leaning back against the couch with a satisfied smile.

As Todoroki slurped the last of his soba, he couldn't help but smirk faintly. Despite Kuro's chaotic nature, his insights always carried weight. But the way he could switch back to his cheerful self so quickly was, as always, a little baffling.

"Yeah," Todoroki said quietly, setting down his empty bowl. "Simple's good."

...

The creaking sound of the door opening broke the stillness in the bar. Kurogiri stepped through, bowing lightly toward Shigaraki. Behind him, two figures emerged from the dark corridor, their presence immediately shifting the atmosphere of the room.

"Wow~! Talk about a swanky place!" The first to enter was a girl wearing a loose cotton sweater and a school skirt, her demeanor bright and bubbly. Her wide, innocent-looking eyes darted around the room as she took in her surroundings. "Oh, you even got a chair like a mafia boss too!" she exclaimed, pointing at Shigaraki with a playful grin. Her cheeks were faintly flushed, but the sharp glint of the knife in her hand and the faint, metallic scent of blood clinging to her clothes betrayed her dangerous nature.

Following close behind was a taller figure with jet-black hair, multiple burn scars, and visible stitches crisscrossing his face and body. His black coat and white undershirt gave him a rugged, menacing look, and his expression was one of detached cynicism. "...So, you're the main guy, huh?" he said, his voice rough and indifferent.

Shigaraki straightened slightly in his seat, steeling himself as his sweaty palms rested on the desk. "Hello, you two. Tomura Shigaraki. Pleased to see you here." He kept his tone calm and formal, though the tension in his posture hinted at his nerves.

"I'm sure you both have plenty of questions," he continued, his crimson eyes narrowing slightly. "But this is... an interview, of sorts."

Kurogiri, sensing the need to ease the moment, stepped forward with practiced poise. "Please, take a seat. Refreshments will be provided shortly," he said, materializing two chairs in front of the desk with a smooth wave of his portal-like form.

"Oh, comfy!" the girl chirped, plopping down onto one of the chairs without hesitation. She swung her legs playfully, the knife still resting casually in her hand.

The man remained standing for a moment, his icy blue eyes locked onto Shigaraki. "I'm not one for small talk, so let's get straight to it," he said, his voice carrying an edge of impatience. "The name's Dabi. If taking down heroes is really what you're about, I'll burn everything in my way." To emphasize his point, a brilliant blue flame flickered to life in his palm, casting eerie shadows across the room.

"Ah? You can't just show off like that, that's not very fair," the girl pouted, leaning forward. "Oh, well! My name's Toga! And as long as I get the blood of whoever we kill, I'll cut every hero~!" she added with a cheerful lilt, twirling her knife in her fingers. Her unsettlingly sweet tone made her words all the more chilling.

Shigaraki's mind raced, but he managed to keep his composure. He'd done his homework on these two—Dabi, a man driven by flames and fury, and Toga, a lethal enigma with an obsession for blood. Master had emphasized the importance of recruiting them, not just for their power but for the chaos they could bring. Hearing their declarations, Shigaraki couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction.

"...Well, in that case, I suppose you're hired," he said, his lips curling into a faint, crooked smile. "Feel free to treat this place as your temporary home. We'll be moving to the real base soon enough."

As if on cue, Kurogiri returned, a silver platter balanced in his hands. On it were glasses of lemonade, their bright yellow color a strange contrast to the grim setting.

"Oh, lemonade~!" Toga sang, grabbing a glass and taking a long sip. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she let out a contented sigh.

Dabi raised an eyebrow, his expression caught somewhere between skepticism and amusement. After a moment, he picked up a glass and took a tentative sip. It was a kid's drink, sure—but it was also surprisingly refreshing. He smirked slightly to himself. Even villains need to hydrate.

Kurogiri, now standing beside Shigaraki, allowed himself a moment of quiet pride. This was a monumental step for his young master. Allies had been secured, each bringing their own unique strengths to the League. Next would come power, recognition, and, eventually, victory.

His gaze shifted toward the far wall, where a tablet with the words "Voice Only" displayed in bold letters. The faint hum of static indicated that Master was listening—a silent observer to Shigaraki's progress.

For Kurogiri, this was as much a moment of pride as it was proof of Shigaraki's growth. The young man who had once been aimless and impulsive now stood on the precipice of becoming a true leader.

Shigaraki, for his part, leaned back slightly in his chair, resting one hand on the edge of the desk. His eyes gleamed with determination as he observed his new recruits.

"Welcome to the League," he said softly.

[Auther: Yo. Been a while eh? Anyways, I'm SORRY! I haven't been updating much! I'm SORRY! I was LAZY. But no worries, I'm back. And with the break I took, my understanding of the true essence of cursed energy is even better than before.

So as you guys can see, Shiggy has a lot of stuff now. Naturally, this will cause us to divert from canon. When does I-Island happen? Cause I think I'm approaching it right now? Maybe the next 30 chapters? Also, the Shield Family is rather useful to me. Or should I say the pLoT?!

People have to catch on by now, that I don't talk to anyone and thus make all conversations like 1-3 sentences of actual words. Also, Shigaraki was copying AFO, that's why they seem similar.
