Chapter 732: Fair Opportunity in the Farewell
"Oh, my~" Luna noticed something unexpected as she gazed upon a particular room of the dragon king's palace. She then winked at her master and daughter to go to another place instead.
"They're a bit busy. Let's go see Nara instead." Elysia also noticed it, and they shouldn't bother the two dragon couples on their night of passion.
"What are they doing? U-uh?" Lynn tried to peer into it, but she ended up blushing. The ones they wanted to see were busy cultivating intimately...
"Fufu, let's not bother them. Nara should be enough to convey our regards to her parents." Luna chuckled in amusement.
After that, they went to Nara's room, the dragon race's little princess.
*Knock* *Knock*
"?!" Nara gasped in shock. She quickly hid her midnight snacks and storybooks under her pillow. Someone knocked on her balcony's glass door, but it was clearly not her servants or even her parents because they never came to her this late at night, from the balcony at that.
"W-who?" Nara trembled even in her voice, thinking it was the midnight ghost coming to haunt her. She had just read a horror story, and the lingering feeling made her afraid of surprise and darkness.
"Hi~" Elysia waved her hand with a reassuring smile.
"O-oh!" Nara sighed in relief. It was not a ghost, but Elysia and two soul foxes. She leaped from her bed and opened the door, inviting them in. "Long time no see."
"Mm, it's been a while." Elysia held Nara's delicate hand, greeting them politely.
"Uh, did you come to play with Nara? But it's already late. Mother will be angry if she finds out Nara hasn't slept yet..." Nara looked up, staring with a hopeful gaze but also with a hint of anxiety.
"Your parents are currently busy. Just say our arrival woke you up and they won't be angry. We brought some warm gifts as well." Elysia put many fancy gifts filled with delicacies, snacks, and books.
"Wow!~" Nara floated to her table with a sparkling expression, attracted by the gifts. The aroma emanating from those boxes was very tempting, and she drolled without realizing it.
"Hm, do you often stay up late to read story books accompanied by a pack of midnight snacks? Fufu, no wonder you're afraid of being caught by your mom." Lynn picked up the pillow, exposing the opened storybooks and half-eaten snacks.
Nara dashed off, hiding all evidence immediately. She then returned and pulled the hem of the soul fox princess' sleeve. "Don't tell anyone, Nara begs you."
"Mm, sure. We came to convey a few things and our regards to your family. We should probably leave a letter for your father and mother." Lynn nodded in understanding.
"No worries, mom already prepared for it~" Luna pulled out an envelope with her seal on it.
"You've anticipated this situation too, hmm? But, it would be bad to leave so soon. Nara, would you like to hear an otherwordly fairytale from me?" Elysia sat on the sofa with open arms.
"Yes, with pleasure. It's Nara's honor." Nara immediately nestled in Elysia's lap, eager to hear interesting stories. She was fond of stories thanks to Elysia and Sylvia, but to hear a story directly from the storyteller was a rare opportunity, especially from the Goddess of Stories herself.
Elysia smiled softly at the little dragon princess. She knew Nara regarded her as someone special because of the storybooks. It was like kindred and story buddies.
Elysia began with her story-telling about a fairytale from Quadtria. Luna and Lynn sat on either side of her, listening closely.
Moments later, Azumi got up from her bed, covering her bare body with a blanket. She had her doubts previously, but after the bonding with her husband was over, she was sure of it. She sensed several unusual breaths from her daughter's bedroom.
"Uhm..." Azumi looked back, but her husband didn't seem to notice it. He was too tired for anything and was already fast asleep. Well, it wasn't entirely his fault because she exhausted him and literally dried him up...
It was pretty late at night, and someone visited her daughter secretly but didn't even try to hide their breath... Feeling worried, she grabbed her pajamas and hastily dressed up, rushing to her daughter's bedroom in a hurry.
Azumi opened the door slowly with great caution and alertness, making no noise. She moved like an assassin ready for any kind of ambush. However, she was immediately stunned when she found it was actually Luna, Lynn, and Goddess Elysia. As for her daughter, Nara was already sleeping soundly in Elysia's arms as the Goddess sang a melodious soft lullaby for the sleeping child.
"Ssshh~" Elysia put her finger to her lips.
"Mm..." Azumi nodded in understanding.
After Elysia carefully put Nara on the comfy bed, Luna beckoned Azumi to sit on the sofa. "Did our arrival surprise you?"
"Uh, yeah. I didn't expect you to visit this late at night, Lady Luna. But, what's with this pile?" Azumi tried to guess the meaning behind Luna's sudden arrival, but she couldn't connect the dots.
"Fufu, my apologies for coming unnoticed this late at night. We came to send our regards to you and your husband, but you were busy dual cultivating. So, we came to Nara instead. As for this, it's some warm gifts from the otherworld. We hope your family will like it." Luna replied, but her teasing smile made Azumi feel even more embarrassed when it was said out loud.
"Well..." Azumi blushed because she couldn't deny it, but to think her bonding session was watched by a third party without her knowing... that was really embarrassing.
"Ahem, on behalf of my husband and Aozora Family, I would like to thank you for your gift. We accept your regards with pleasure." Azumi quickly changed the topic because she was too embarrassed to talk about the previous topic.
"We wrote a letter for you and intended to leave it with Nara, but since you came here, then it would probably be better if we delivered it directly to you, Lady Azumi. You may give the letter to Lord Kazuma." Elysia returned to her seat, facing Azumi in a friendly manner.
"With pleasure, Goddess Ely." Azumi put her hand on her chest.
"But before that, please tidy up your pajamas first." Elysia pointed it out, kindly reminding Azumi's clothes that were not buttoned properly, half revealing because no underwear was involved.
"Uh-huh? Please forgive me for presenting myself in an inappropriate state." Azumi immediately turned around to fix her pajamas.
She came in a hurry out of anxiety, so she didn't notice it until just now. After feeling appropriate, she returned to face Goddess Elysia, Luna, and Lynn.
Luna and Elysia conveyed their intention to Azumi, and the letter was handed over to the dragon queen. After their business was done, they bid their farewell and left the scene with a poof.
"I hope nothing bad happens..." Azumi clasped her hands together as she gazed upon the bright moon in the sky.

As the night passed, the day to return to Quadtria arrived. However, it was still a bit early to return, and Lifa proposed an idea to hold a 'picnic' in the sacred area fought over by elves and fairies, the former ground where the Tree of Life was located.
The Tree of Life was no more, but this sacred area had fallen as a forbidden neutral area that was actually so coveted by elves, fairies, and dwarves. Unfortunately, none could possess this land because it would spell a war, a territorial struggle. The Gods also wouldn't allow this land to fall into anyone's hands, though.
The Elven Empress Ashera and Fairy Empress Yralissa received the honor of attending the 'picnic' ceremony with the Elysium Pantheon.
As the first ones to receive the invitation, they also became the first to arrive at the designated location even though it was still a bit long before the appointed time.
Several Gods also arrived to answer the call. The Ice God and the Sky God, although still recovering, arrived along with the Sky Library Floating Island, also with all the faithful servants on the island.
The sad things about their followers were they chose, cultivated, and nurtured their people with care, but most of their people worshiped the world's savior, the Goddess of Light instead, and they couldn't help it, especially because of the Divine Chruch existence on the island.
The Sea God, the Beast God, and the Evil God also got invited, but they had yet to arrive.
Although the gathering was called a picnic, it was actually a high-level conference held for the representative factions which Elysia had not visited.
Well, the saintesses in their family mostly didn't want to greet their homeland, so Lifa couldn't help but hold this gathering before their departure so each representative fractions at least received the opportunity in this farewell fairly.
Lifa looked at the camps that had arrived at the designated location, each side filled by experts above the master level.
The elves led by Elven Empress Ashera occupied the west area, the fairies led by Fairy Empress Yralissa occupied the east area, the dwarves led by Dwarven Emperor Nuraddir occupied the south area, and the Sky Library Island's joint forces led by the Sky God, the Ice God, and the Divine Church's chief servant occupied the north area.
"Thank you for answering my call." Lifa greeted from above as she led the pantheon members to land in the north area.
The Elysium Pantheon's arrival, filled with many divine experts, instantly changed the atmosphere. The four camps immediately knelt in response, not only because of the sheer awe and reverence, but because of the divine aura and pressure.
