My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 727: Deduction They Concluded

The best response to facing a problem without overthinking it could be done by not thinking about it. After sharing the matter with other family members and inspecting the Creator God's rune mark on the ancient spirit paper, Elena sealed it and stored it somewhere safe so nobody could take advantage of them through it.

After that, Elysia put the matter on hold in the back of her mind.

As the time for their departure arrived, Elysia went to pick up Miko, Erina, and Mio.

It was still so early in the morning, and Erina was already prepared for departure.

They bid their farewell to Kenji and Yuuko for the last time before turning around to leave. Elysia gently placed her hand on Erina's shoulder. "You've given them everything."

Erina exhaled. A rare wistful look crossed her usually composed face. "Wealth may fade. Empires can crumble. But as long as they can live a prosperous life, I have done my duty."

And with that, she grasped Elysia's hand and walked away, vanishing into the brilliance of the sunrise, leaving her family behind.

Next week, she would stand beside her divine sisters in the greatest war against the nirvana abyssal demons. And whether she could return to Earth or not... her legacy would live on.

*Zap*

Elysia, Miko, Erina, and Mio had all left Earth. However, Kenji and Yuuki were still standing in silence, staring at the place where Elysia and Erina last stood. Elysia's magic circle began to fade, and when it was completely gone, Kenji took a deep breath, feeling a bit too heavy to send his daughter away. "They're gone."

"Yeah... they carried a huge responsibility. We may not be able to do anything to help, but let's pray regularly for their success." Yuuki put her hand on her husband's arm.

"Yeah..." Kenji heaved a subtle sigh.

---

Far away in the Pacific Ocean, a Japanese warship fleet was on its way back to their country, sailing through the rough seas.

Although monsters occasionally attacked them, no dangerous monsters above the S Rank threat made a move to intercept them. Thanks to the new rules imposed by Cube Island, the extremely dangerous monsters wouldn't dare to inflict ruin, fearing the Buster Call of Ruin.

It was a restriction on large-scale and high-level destruction, but as a result, humanity also couldn't unleash attacks on the monsters because they fell under the same rules and laws.

"Good job, you all. I'm honestly impressed by your performance." Mike, the new captain of the Japanese Elite Esper Team, greeted the new comrades they encountered on Phylum Island.

"It's not worth mentioning." Mashiro raised his hand, acting humble. He then stared at the distant storm, aware that several powerful monsters were lurking deep in the sea, but those monsters never made any move against them as they passed through their territory.

"Can you sense them? Are you surprised because those extremely powerful foes let us pass? There's a reason why we only encountered small fries during the previous storm. The world became much safer after Cube Island's influence changed the world's law and order." Mike put his arm on the fence, staring out at the sea with a smirk.

"I just hope that peace will last longer."

"Under the new rules, the large-scale battle is prohibited, including high-level attacks. With this, the combat power above SS rank cannot act as they please. Although we received many complaints from the high-rank heroes, we now at least do not have to worry about the calamity-level threats, especially from those overlord-class monsters." Mike sighed.

"You're right." Mashiro nodded in understanding.

He stared at his hands with a deep gaze as his initial guess was proven right. Although the Sacred Sakura Goddess stripped all of his otherworldly energy and half of his otherworldly abilities, he was still a powerful warrior who could easily rival an elite esper.

Earth couldn't handle the otherworld's forces. Should he return without restrictions, he and his comrades' existences could disrupt the balance of the world.

That was what he could understand from what the Sacred Sakura Goddess and Saintess Miko said.

"Hey, I'm honestly curious about how you got lost on Phylum Island. Where did you come from, and how did you get there? Tell me more about yourself. If you're in trouble, I might be able to help you." Mike looked aside, feeling a little suspicious but also curious.

"I'm a law-abiding citizen and the cadet of Superhero Academy. You don't need to be suspicious, sir. What we encountered in the past few days is hard to explain, and by the time we realized it, we had already arrived at that place." Mashiro responded vaguely, avoiding suspicion since he had no way to explain his otherworld journey.

"I see, so you and your friends accidentally entered a dungeon, and once you cleared it, you were stranded on Phylum Island." Mike patted Mashiro's shoulder. He was notified that Mashiro and co. were indeed cadets of the Superhero Academy, and they went missing a few months ago.

The deduction they could conclude was that these cadets couldn't disclose the cleared dungeon. It was like a restriction, but these cadets gained immensely from their months of struggle in that dungeon.

That alone gained his respect, and he detected no lies or suspicious responses from the party leader, Mashiro. With that, he and Mashiro soon became friends.

"Captain, I've been looking for you everywhere. Uhh, huff... we'll accelerate soon so we can arrive at Tokyo port sooner. Please enter the accommodation area." A pretty girl ran over, a little out of breath.

"Alright, let's go in and have breakfast with the others." Mike nodded in understanding.

All personnel soon entered the safe zone, and all fleets accelerated to sail the ocean at high speed.

"Mother, your son will return soon." Mashiro clenched his fist as he stared at the ocean.

Elysia landed on the Vrelenia, standing on the highest summit of the Devil Continent with Sylvia by her side.

As the Nirvana Great War approached, she accompanied her pantheon members to bid farewell to their loved ones, perhaps for the last time. Each of them came from different backgrounds, yet all had sworn allegiance to her divine rule.

Since everyone already set their heart to follow her through the arduous journey, even facing formidable foes, she would accompany each of them to the family they would leave behind. Sylvia was the first the turn for it, and they would pay the Devil Emperor a visit, just the two of them.

"Shall we go now, dear master?" Sylvia held Elysia's hand with a meaningful smile.

"Yup." Elysia jumped down with Sylvia. They went to the Devil Emperor Dylan's palace with teleportation.

Within the dark citadel of the Devil Empire, a solemn atmosphere loomed. The little devil prince, the future sovereign for the Devil Continent hid behind his mother like a scaredy cat, peeking at his father, the Devil Emperor, who remained eerily silent.

His elder sister, the one who left the household to serve a high-ranking god, had just returned, but the situation didn't look that good. It was as if his father was furious and would burst into a terrifying devil.

"Gulp..." Sophia gulped her saliva, feeling a bit tense.

Sylvia had just returned with Elysia, and she came here immediately right after her husband called her. She had no idea what they discussed, but by the time she arrived at her husband's study, the atmosphere was already so solemn and suppressing.

"Must you go?" Dylan sighed. His crimson eyes dimmed with sorrow.

"Father, I will fight alongside Gods, not against them. I must go. With my Goddess by my side, none can harm me. It's just... it might take many years before we can return to see you again." Sylvia put her hand on Elysia's arm and shook her head.

Dylan remained silent for a few seconds. He already knew it... his daughter wouldn't listen to him because she would only listen to Elysia now.

He didn't know where he went wrong in educating his daughter, but by this, he felt his precious daughter literally married a god, a female one at that...

However, Sylvia looked so blessed and happy by Elysia's side. Everything was destined since they met... Since nothing could be done, with a wave of his hand, he bestowed them with his blessing. "Return victorious... or do not return at all. If you don't come back in ten years, I'll hold a funeral for you."

"We have transcended the boundary and stepped foot into immortality. Even though the foes this time are truly formidable, we won't die in this war." Elysia replied with a gentle smile, reassuring Sylvia's father with a confident gaze.

"If you say so, I can rest assured. I believe you won't let Sylvia get hurt or suffer." Dylan sighed, knowing Elysia's personality and power, he put faith in her.

"Thank you. Unless I get killed and perish before Sylvi, no one is allowed to harm her." Elysia offered her hand to Sylvia.

"Hehe~" Sylvia intertwined her fingers with Elysia's, showing her close bond.

"Since you've come all the way here, then stay here a bit longer. I wish to hear more about your recent journey and accomplishment." Dylan got up from his seat, inviting everyone to move places.

Apart from Sylvia and Elysia's farewell, he wanted to know many things about their encounters, and one of them was the mentioned immortality.

He honestly still couldn't believe that his spoiled daughter had already transcended into immortality, a godhood. It had only been about five years since she followed and served Elysia, and that progress was too fast! She already grew stronger than him, and she would outlive him... he had to find a way to preserve at least a bit of his dignity as a father and Devil Emperor!

"Sorry for the trouble, Father." Elysia smiled mischievously.

"Hehe, you still remember it, dear master. He meant it as a godfather so he wouldn't be inferior to your relationship with the human emperors, but he's a father-in-law now." Sylvia rested her head on Elysia's shoulder, chuckling in amusement.

"..." Dylan was at a loss for words.

His daughter spoke it out loud and clear now, and his previous guess was proven correct. However, when he remembered that he used to acknowledge Elysia as his daughter's best friend and then literally as a foster daughter so he wouldn't be inferior to those human emperors, it made him feel even more awkward.
