My Cold Muse | Yoonmin

Chapter 6: Ep 6: What Grows Between Them

The morning sun shone warmly in the sky, but Jimin's heart felt more restless than usual. He sat under a large tree in the campus park, absentmindedly playing with the tips of the grass with his fingers.

"So, what now, hyung?" Jungkook's voice pulled Jimin out of his thoughts. His best friend sat down beside him, holding a can of cold drink, which he immediately handed to Jimin.

Jimin let out a deep sigh, hesitant to answer. "I don't know, Kook. It feels… complicated."

Jungkook chuckled, taking a sip of his drink. "It's only complicated because you make it complicated. If you like Yoongi hyung, just tell him."

"It's not that simple!" Jimin replied, frustration evident in his voice. "Yoongi hyung is… different. I'm not sure he feels the same way. Besides, he looks too busy with his music to care about feelings."

Jungkook gave Jimin a serious look. "Yoongi hyung might seem cold, but I know he cares, hyung. You're the one who told me that he started paying attention to your dancing, even composing music for you. That's not normal, you know."

Jimin fell silent, pondering Jungkook's words. He knew his best friend had a point. Yoongi had been showing a softer side lately, but Jimin was still afraid of hoping too much.

Inside the practice hall, Yoongi sat at his piano as usual, playing a soft melody that filled the room with calmness. Jimin walked in a few minutes later, carrying an energy that was both nervous and excited.

"Hyung," Jimin called out, setting his bag down in the corner.

Yoongi glanced at him briefly and gave a small nod. "You're early today."

Jimin hesitated before smiling. "I… wanted to practice more."

Yoongi nodded again and returned his focus to the piano. However, after a while, he stopped playing and looked at Jimin, who was warming up.

"Have you found the right flow for that part?" Yoongi asked suddenly, his voice calm but firm.

Jimin shook his head slowly. "Not completely. It still feels like something's missing."

Yoongi stood up, walking toward Jimin with a serious expression. "Try doing the moves again. I'll see what's missing."

Jimin followed his instructions, dancing to the music playing from his phone. Yoongi watched intently, his eyes focused on every detail of Jimin's movements.

"Stop," Yoongi said after a few minutes. He walked closer, picked up Jimin's phone, and paused the music. "The music doesn't support the choreography well enough. Try this instead."

Yoongi returned to the piano and started playing a new melody. The music was soft but carried an intensity that gradually built up, as if mirroring the emotions reflected in Jimin's dance.

Jimin began moving again, and this time, everything felt right. The music and his movements blended perfectly, creating a harmony that brought the entire room to life.

When the music ended, Jimin stood there, slightly out of breath, his eyes sparkling. "Hyung… this is perfect."

Yoongi only nodded, but a faint smile appeared on his lips. "Music and dance should complement each other. You just need to find the right balance."

That night, in his room, Jimin sat on the edge of his bed, hugging a pillow. His mind was filled with thoughts of Yoongi—his cold demeanor, his small gestures of care, and the music he created so beautifully.

"This is more than just admiration," Jimin whispered to himself. "I'm really falling in love."

Jungkook, who was on a video call with him, immediately reacted. "Finally, hyung admits it! So, when are you going to tell Yoongi hyung?"

Jimin let out a long sigh. "I don't know, Kook. Maybe later… when I'm sure he's ready to hear it."

Meanwhile, in his own room, Yoongi sat in front of his piano as usual. But this time, he wasn't playing. He was just staring at the keys, lost in thought.

Images of Jimin kept flashing through his mind—his passionate dancing, his bright smile, and the way he never gave up despite his struggles.

Yoongi exhaled deeply, closing his eyes for a moment. "Jimin… why are you so impossible to ignore?"

He started playing a new melody, soft notes filled with emotion. Without realizing it, his music had become a reflection of the feelings growing inside him.
