My Blood Legacy: Reincarnated as a Vampire

Chapter 483: I'm here, for you

After the calm moment, Siren kept her gaze fixed on the city, the wreckage scattered from the recent war. Even with Dante's comforting presence behind her, the cruel reality didn't change.

"What are you thinking, my dear?" Dante asked, resting his head on her shoulder, looking at the same scene as she was, the destruction of everything she held dear.

"This attack wasn't just a blow against my kingdom," she said, her voice tinged with bitterness. "It was a message. Mary Rose wanted us to bleed, even after death… that bitch was really trying to destroy the world."

Dante let out an amused sigh, tilting his head slightly. "Funny… I killed her myself. Thought that would end everything… Even after death, she still causes me trouble."

"Death is never enough against people with ideals revolving around domination and destruction," Siren murmured, crossing her arms. "Her army was already scattered even before she attacked you. Undead forces attacked almost every nation at the same time, as if she had prepared this as a final revenge. It was an all-or-nothing move."

Dante was aware of everything Mary Rose had done during the time he was trapped in Hell, trying to reclaim his throne, but he knew that spending more time thinking about it now would be useless. What intrigued him, however, was a detail still unresolved. He furrowed his brow, looking directly at Siren.

"And her subordinates?" he asked again, the doubt echoing in his voice.

Siren, who had tried to push those thoughts away, finally gave in and met his gaze. Her blue eyes shone with a mix of frustration and concern. "They disappeared. No trace, no sign. They just vanished into thin air after the undead started to fall… They must have known that when the undead started falling, it meant Mary Rose was dead, and her magic was gone too."

Dante ran his tongue over his teeth, pondering for a moment. "Interesting… So someone knew exactly when to act."

"It seems that way," Siren nodded, the weight of the situation still clear in her tone. "Mary Rose might be dead, but her followers… they're still out there. If someone powerful enough organized this in her absence…"

Dante raised an eyebrow, his tone becoming slightly more intrigued. "So we have a new enemy in the shadows." He smiled with obvious malice. "I love hunts… but I think this game is over."

Siren huffed and rolled her eyes. "Your obsession with fighting… sometimes I think you don't know what rest is. But..." She hesitated for a moment, her gaze softening before continuing. "I really think it's hard for anything to happen again. Especially considering how you seem… more confident."

He shrugged, the smile stretching across his face, a touch of pride evident. "It's fun. But jokes aside, even if everyone tries to attack again, there's no way they can defeat me now, at least not in this world."

Siren sighed, her silver hair swaying gently as she ran a hand over her face. "Such confidence… I just wanted a little peace before the next storm. I need to rebuild my kingdom."

Dante moved closer to her with surprising agility, pulling her nearer, his hands sliding to gently hold her chin. He forced her gaze to meet his, his eyes fixed on hers with an unwavering intensity. "Then let's settle this now," he whispered, the softness of his words contrasting with the certainty of his tone. "Because I really want to enjoy a night with you."

Siren's heart gave a little jump, as if the softness of his words carried a weight greater than she had imagined. She hesitated for a moment, allowing the meaning of those words to settle. Perhaps it was a reflection of her need for relief, perhaps of the trust she felt in Dante, but in that instant, she wouldn't push him away. Find exclusive stories on My Virtual Library Empire

"What do you mean by that?" she asked softly, still uncertain, her eyes challenging his, wanting to understand more about what he was suggesting with that "settling now."

Dante smiled once more, an expression that danced between malice and softness. "Let's settle what's been left unresolved… and maybe start something new, together." He extended his hand to her, a simple gesture, but one loaded with meaning.

Siren looked at his hand for a moment, the hesitation still there, but a part of her was willing to follow, to allow herself to live a bit of the peace he was offering. She looked back at him, and finally, she extended her hand, allowing him to guide her.

Without words, just a mutual understanding, they walked together to the royal palace courtyard. The sound of their footsteps echoed against the walls, but the silence between them was comfortable, as if the words had already been said.

When they arrived at the palace courtyard, the atmosphere around them felt heavy, as if the city was still recovering from the chaos it had endured. The silence between them lingered, but the tension slowly began to dissipate. Siren glanced at Dante, her gaze attentive, as though she was waiting for something—a response or perhaps a sign of what would come next.

Dante, with a subtle smile, did not speak a word. He simply turned to face her, his eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and confidence. "Watch," his voice was firm and challenging, yet there was a softness in his delivery, as if he knew he was about to show her something important.

Before she could react, Dante leaped back, gracefully distancing himself from her. His body began to twist, the energy around him intensifying as if something colossal were about to awaken. The ground beneath his feet trembled slightly, and the air around him seemed to vibrate with an almost palpable force.

Siren didn't have time to react before the transformation occurred before her eyes. Dante's human form began to shift. His legs elongated, claws emerged, and a massive column of fire rose around him. His body expanded, red and gold scales shining like rubies and amber, reflecting the light of the stars above. Dante's head grew immensely, with golden, intimidating eyes that radiated ancient wisdom and immeasurable strength.

"A dragon…" Siren whispered, her voice full of awe and admiration as she observed him from head to tail. This was the first time she had seen it, Dante's true form. During the battle against Mary Rose, he had awakened as a dragon for the first time, but she hadn't been there to witness the transformation. Now, before her, the great red dragon took shape—majestic and imposing.

The colossal figure before her was not just a powerful creature; it was a representation of Dante's true essence. He was more than a mere human being; he was a force of nature, capable of destroying worlds with a single movement. The sight of his grandeur and power made her feel minuscule in comparison, but also, a sense of respect began to grow within her. She knew he was not just a threat, but a force that could shape the fate of all.

Dante looked at her, his enormous wings flapping gently, creating a gust of wind that made her hair and clothes flutter. He let out a low roar, as if adjusting to his new form. His golden eyes shone with an intensity that seemed to challenge the very sky.

"Do you like what you see?" he asked, his voice now deep and resonant, as though it emerged from a vast abyss. "Well, let's fix your kingdom, my love," Dante said, and she could clearly see him smiling, even in his dragon form.

She took a step forward, still mesmerized by the colossal dragon before her. The power emanating from him was almost tangible, a primal energy that made the air around them vibrate with intensity. Siren looked into Dante's golden eyes, so deep and full of mystery. The respect in her voice was undeniable.

"Incredible..." she murmured, almost speechless, her expression a mix of awe and reverence. "I never thought I'd see something like this. It's... impressive."

Dante let out a low laugh, almost a whisper, but so powerful it seemed to make the very air tremble. "Fufufu..." The laughter echoed, amplified by his immense form. He looked at her with a playful yet serious expression. "Your kingdom will return."

And with those words, an even more imposing aura surrounded Dante. A gigantic magical circle appeared around the kingdom, a ring of energy so bright it illuminated even the darkest corners of the ruined city. It was as if space and time were bending to his command.

"Temporalis." The word slipped from his lips with almost palpable power, and as he spoke it, the reality around him began to distort.

Suddenly, as if time had been reversed, the ruins and debris began to shift, crumbling and reorganizing. The broken walls of the buildings reconstructed themselves, stones floated back into place, and the skies seemed to clear, as if the catastrophe had never occurred. Houses and palaces returned to their original structure, their facades restored, the roofs that had fallen raised back into place exactly where they had been. It was as though time itself had been governed in reverse, returning every lost piece to its rightful place.

Siren watched, fascinated and astonished, as the scene around her transformed before her eyes. The sound of debris reorganizing, of walls restoring themselves, felt like a celestial symphony, orchestrated by Dante himself. He was not just restoring her kingdom; he was doing it with a supernatural grace and skill, controlling the flow of time with a simple command.

"Can you... do this?" Siren asked, her voice barely audible in the face of the grandeur of what was happening. She knew Dante was powerful, but she never imagined he possessed such a skill. It wasn't just a matter of strength; he was controlling the very fabric of reality, manipulating time like a piece on a chessboard.

Dante looked at her, his dragon form still imposing, but his golden eyes softened when he saw her in awe. "I can do more than this," he said with an enigmatic smile, before turning his gaze back to the city that was regenerating.

As the process continued, Siren saw what had once seemed like a devastated land now blooming and rebuilding. It was like a rebirth for her kingdom, but somehow, it felt more than just recovery. It felt like a new beginning, a chance for something better to rise from the ashes.

"I don't know what to say..." Siren whispered, her eyes now fixed on Dante, her heart racing faster. She never imagined anyone could restore the vitality to her kingdom that he now had. And yet, there Dante was, performing the impossible with a simple gesture.

He lowered his head, looking at her with a soft smile. "You don't have to say anything." His voice was gentle, but full of meaning. "I'm here for you." He said, dropping to the ground in front of her, returning to his human form.

"And now... let's have a date," Dante said, smiling.
