Chapter 12: New God Of The Forge In DC 6

-Island Of Lemnos-

(Hephaestus POV)

"So let me get this straight: When I told you to go and help out the village, which I do admit you did, you somehow managed to get the attention of multiple rich merchants? In addition to creating a brand. What exactly is that?"

Thetis asks as I forge more blades for later, to which I respond, " Well, Thetis, a brand is meant to exemplify that the product came from myself so that no one else can claim it wasn't me, and since no one has the skill to copy the brand exactly all will know that I made it."

Thetis then nods in understanding as she asks, " Are you not afraid of being found out by whoever threw you into the ocean?" I sigh as I admit, " Well, knowing Hera, while she is cunning, she is not very thorough and very impulsive. Considering that I have been able to hide my divine signature, I am essentially invisible until I decide to reveal myself."

" What of the Fates? You must understand that you cannot escape the binds of Destiny. You will need to return to Olympus if Hera is your mother." Thetis says with a decent amount of concern. Placing my hammer down, I walk up to her and say, " Do not worry. I will come up with a plan, but for now, I must admit that I am not ready, and even now, I can sense that Hera is focusing on something else or someone."

Thetis then nods, saying, " Yes, I have heard rumors from my friends that Hera has gone across the land asking that no place or people let Leto give birth to Zeus's children. Are you not afraid of the queen of Olympus?" Placing a hand on her shoulder, I mention, " Considering that she most likely thinks I died after she threw me or that I would be so deformed I could never return, she most likely has written me off."

This does not wholly dissuade her, but she then asks another question: " Will you help her? Even if she is being punished, she does carry your sibling or siblings." Looking into her eyes and knowing that both will be born regardless, I smile and say, "If they do require my assistance, well, I will leave it up to fate."

But I will most likely help them as if I am going to return to Olympus. I need allies, and even though I can trust my siblings as far as a child could throw Zeus, they will be required. In addition to the fact that I do not want to witness what happens when a God dies, a small part of me fears a reaction like when Kratos killed the Greek Gods in God Of War.

So, after calming Thetis, she asks me, " What are you forging? As I do not recognize the design." Sending her a smirk, I respond, " Well, I wanted to thank you both for taking me in, so I decided to create some jewelry for both of you, which is yours." Holding out a ring made using the Family Jewels perk I got earlier, its beauty stuns the goddess, and as she puts the ring on, she says, " This is a wonderful piece of jewelry. How did you make it?"

Smiling, I say nothing, to which she scoffs and says, " Alright, keep your secrets, but I will be showing this off." Nodding, I return to the forge and retort, "Of course you will. How will I get my name out there without some good marketing?" And as she sticks her tongue out at me, I chuckle as the forge reaches out towards a perk but fails.

(Failed Roll: 300 CP Banked)

Being slightly disappointed but nonetheless unabated, I feel the ring doing its work as I created it with a couple of enchantments on it, which were rather basic as it's simply meant to keep me updated on the status of Eurynome and Thetis. Even though we've only known each other for three weeks, they are genuinely wonderful friends. But even now, I feel the weight of this universe is danger still upon me.

Every now and then, my mind returns to the dark, and I shut her, knowing what occurs in the dark Multiverse as even now, worlds are being destroyed as bad ends are erased over and over again. It is a vicious cycle and one that is ripe to be taken advantage of by those powerful enough, for example, Barbados and the upside-down man. Even thinking of those two brings me a small amount of fear, but considering that they do not appear for thousands of years at this point, it does get me some reprieve.

It's almost as funny as before. I could barely think of plans that could swing into next week, and now I'm having to plan in advance in terms of centuries if not millenniums. But for now, I need to forge a weapon meant to slay monsters, so focusing on my developing domain, I feel Archmage reacting, allowing my divinity to fuel my creativity.

It seems that the forge is reacting again as well, and I feel a star being grabbed into the forge after doing so, I walk over to the door that I got from the village and open it. The door itself leads to Nowhere as I simply created a space within the rocks so that I could create a doorway in order to activate my Cosmic Warehouse. Looking into the portal, I walk in with no fear, and upon entering, I am greeted by a large, empty, and barren warehouse.

But as I opened the door to the outside, I saw an exact copy of the Island Of Lemnos but entirely empty, yet as I looked to the sky, I saw it empty as only a void. But this was enough as I had an entire barren planet to mine myself, but that is for later. Looking to the side, I notice a box filled with the material I retrieved from the forge.

( Monster Killing Metals (200CP): About ten pounds of Celestial Bronze, Imperial Gold, and Stygian Iron. All are made to destroy godly and monstrous creatures (save the last, which also hurts mortals).

Weapons crafted from these materials are incredibly

durable and able to hold enchantments of the like seen in ancient myth. Your supply restocks every two weeks, with the type of metal delivered being of your choice.)

(Roll Successful: 200 Points Remaining)

This metal is perfect as its properties exist to deal with the supernatural and not the material and work perfectly as a means to slay monsters. So, taking the ten pounds of Celestial Bronze as well as the ten pounds of Stigian Iron, I take them back to my forge in Lemnos. And as I got back, I closed the door and closed the portal.

Practically vibrating with excitement to forge with these metals, I then take a breath and begin to analyze the metals using my domain and create a means to use the limited supply as effectively as possible.

Luckily, the sea goddesses weren't here, or they would ask what these metals were. While there may be some equivalents in this world, these metals are very much foreign. But what made this amazing was that thanks to my mundane world perk, these medals can now be found in my pocket dimension, but I will have to find them as well as create a scanner to find them.

Such a thought brings me back to when I was playing Mass Effect 3 and having to resource manage so many different things to get all those damn endings. But I do have to admit that those Reapers, indeed, were a very immense threat, and we're only destroyed due to a literal deus ex machina. Sadly, Shepard died after everything he or she had been through. But regardless of my thoughts on the ending, it did happen, and since I am here, the very notion has been confirmed.

But who knows, maybe eventually I'll be able to craft means of leaving this Multiverse and finding others. The thought of getting my hands on all those weapons and armor brings me a feeling of euphoria, which is short-lived as I refocus myself. Based on what Thetis just said, Python will be sent to hunt down Leto, and so I am on the clock to make a good impression.

So, placing the metal into the furnace, I begin to melt it using my control over fire, and while I am not able to replicate the heat of a star just yet, the metals shall melt as I deem it so. And even now, the usage of my divinity is allowing the core created by the essence of the archmage to develop further and further. Honestly, the fact that I even have this divine core is a blessing in and of itself, as I will no longer need to rely on worshipers to keep my power.

I am most likely going to have to hide this fact as, knowing Zeus, he will take the fact that I am not weakened with time as a threat to his rule, and as much as I despise the god, I need more time to prepare and plan. Because when one plays The Game of Thrones, you live or you die.

But in this case, I can't die genuinely as long as the idea of me remains, but I am incredibly vulnerable at this point, and since I was created by Hera alone, he will not view me as his son but as a rival. And as if sensing my intention, the forge again reaches towards one of the many stars but misses slightly. But this is expected as my forge spark is still weak, and the grind must continue.

(Roll Failed: 300 CP Banked)

So, for now, I continue to forge the metal in hopes of creating a weapon to hunt a snake and the son of Gaea.

(Leto, Daughter Of Coeus and Phoebe POV)

-Aegean Sea-

As I rowed the small boat I retrieved from some of my allies across the sea towards an island, I breathed heavily, feeling the exhaustion from my form as the twins within me fed on my divinity to develop. Most would be angry that their children are stealing power from them, but for me, as the Titaness is a motherhood, I understand the importance of allowing such a sacrifice, as a divine being can only grow so strong after being born.

Their development stage lasts barely a couple of years in comparison to an average mortal Who develops for over 20, and as the pain of my pregnancy hits me again, I nearly black out from the pain. I am physically using my Divinity to stall their conception as I need to find a safe place to give birth to them. If Gods have one similarity to Mortals, it is that they're at their weakest when they are just born and can be permanently scarred and even killed.

Even now, I feel the monster Python bearing down on us as for the past three days, he has hunted me like an animal, and I have witnessed the beast devour many of my friends who were innocent forest and sea nymphs. What made it so ferocious was the fact that its poison could harm even Divine beings, and when it devoured said beings, it could gain their life force and temporarily enhance its own strength.

Its presence can still be felt as its mere existence harms everything around it, as if the poison devours everything in his path. So I continue to row the boat across the miles of ocean in hopes of finding Delos as the island since it floats around the sea and is not bound by sea or land and is thus immune from Hera's wrath. And if the people there refused to allow me to give birth, then I shall have to use more aggressive negotiations by informing them of the benefit of having two gods defending them.

But for now, I hope that I can find it before the beast devours me. Don't worry, you two, you will see the world soon.

I promise even if I lose everything.

(Hephaestus POV)

-Aegean Sea (Near Delos)-

Well, it seems that I have found the island after a couple of days of travel from Lemnos, to which Thetis almost screamed in joy that I was leaving for a while, and Eury was happy that I wanted to explore gave me a boat that they had which traveled faster than most mortal vessels. Thankfully, it seems Poseidon is feeling generous as I have not experienced any storms within the past couple of days, and I can feel the island with my divine senses. Still, for now, I feel unprepared as I managed to forge both Riptide and a Stygian Iron blade that I called Miden or null in Greek.

Both blades were forged in order to deal with Python in case he was able to follow Leto to the island, and I also packed other creations of mine from towels I made using my needlework skill and cloth I bought from the village on Lemnos as well as other equipment. But for now, I must trust in my creations, for as long as I believe in them, I cannot fail.

(Shounen Power Activate!)

The forge then lights up as a giant star is grabbed by the forge, and as it empties my point reserves, I feel Archmage almost sing in happiness as I gain the ability to use magic from one of the few Isekai mangas I read. That being the smartphone isekai.

Say what you will about the show, but the manga, especially in the second half when it dealt with the mechs and the aliens from another dimension, did definitely pique my interest, especially the magic system, as it is both simple yet powerful as null magic is the greatest boon for me for many reasons.

"Gate," I utter, and a water-like mirror appears, showing my forge on Lemnos. A smile forms on my face as I now have access to a large variety of spells, and with Archmage this magic can be improved. But now I seemed to have arrived.

It's time to prepare to face a snake.

(Roll Successful: All Magic Affinity - 400 (Capstone Booster))

Like what it implies, you have an Affinity with all types of magic, including all types of Null magic. This means that you have the (possibly unique) ability to use all types of magic in the world, needing only to know the chant needed to activate it and a general idea of what the magic is supposed to do.

For example, knowing that the Gate spell requires the chant of "gate" and that it is a spell that opens a portal to a place you have already been, you would be capable of

casting that spell. You carry this ability to quickly learn and master all forms of magic to future worlds and systems.

Leaving that aside, your magic is tremendously potent, and you have a monstrous amount of magical energy, enough that you could chain-cast powerful spells affecting incredible numbers of people without even noticing fatigue, much less suffering from such.
