Chapter 5: 5: Memorial hollow -Beginning-
It was many days after the Sora incident and Kaname was languidly playing his flute in his room, focusing his resentful energy on a hunk of metal in front of him. The process was slow going but the results were obvious. The metal began to change on a fundamental level and was slowly transformed into an iron aligned with the yin elements.
"Man, this is boring" said Kaname as he sat down his flute and the energy he collected then receeded into his Jindan( golden core). 'Just finding the metal was tiring, then having to get it receptive to spiritual energy caused him to seek out a man recommended by Rukia, the candy van man Kisuke Urahara.
"Note to self, bring stick next time" Kaname sighed as he remembered Kisuke getting too close for his comfort until the big dude, Tessai, got him away from me to make my order of spiritually receptive iron. Kaname rested for a moment until he got up, got dressed, and headed off. His destination was non other than the Kurosaki Clinic. Kaname decided he wanted to bother Ichigo for the day, seeing as he was bored.
As he neared the clinic, he found the window he needed to jump up to and quickly made his way to the nearest tree to the window. Using a small stone, he threw it against the window to get Ichigos' attention. As Ichigo poked his head outside, he immediatelyy spotted Kaname in the nearby tree.
"What the hell are you doing here !?!" shouted Ichigo as he observed Kaname make his way effortlessly inside his room through the window which was a couple feet from where he was. "Ai, no need to shout, I just wanted to bother you due to boredom okay" said Kaname as he dodged a flying shoe. "Hey now, lets not get hasty" said Kaname as Rukia walked out of the closet she was living in.
"What's going on?" asked Rukia as she put on her rabbit slippers. "Well this thing just busted into my room!" Ichigo shouted. Rukia looked at Kaname, her questions about him still in the forefront of her mind. "Well, you need more friends, right delinquent?" asked Rukia as she witnessed Ichigo gain a tick mark on his head. "RAAA!" screamed Ichigo as a flurry of shoes began to rain down on Kaname, with strays going towards Rukia every odd hit.
Not wanting to be continuously pelted by shoes, Kaname weaved a quick spell to form a transparent red shield which emerged from an array built into his clothes. Rukia observed this ability, mentally taking notes on its similarities to kido( Demon Way) and what hollow techniques she knew of.
"Okay, calm down strawberry" said Kaname as a simple spell to conjure a phantom with actual mass that plopped down on Ichigo, holding him down. "Hey! What gives?!" asked Ichigo as he struggled against the spell. "Well, I figured calming you down was the best bet for you, so I wanted to expedite the process helping you out" said Kaname with the smile of a child who pulled a hilarious prank.
Ichigo now seemed to be fuming under the spell and his own reiryoku was trying to resist the spell using Ichigos reiatsu( Spiritual pressure) to undo it through force. "Huh, how did you do that?" asked Rukia out of curiosity as it looked like a good tactic for suppression, and to her benefit, annoyance.
"A technique that creates a phantom with mass using energy and incantations" said Kaname. " I can teach it to you, for a price of course" said Kaname as Rukia visibly began to deflate at his words. She weighed her options and her thoughts of annoying Ichigo won her out in the end. "Okay, what is your price?" asked Rukia. Kaname thought very hard until he came to a conclusion.
"My price is..... a Gigai" said Kaname as a look of confusion crossed her face. " A Gigai? why?" asked Rukia. "I want one to experiment with" said Kaname leaving a well of curiosity inside Rukias mind. However, a sudden emergence of yelling struck them out of their thoughts of the deal as a raging strawberry lunged at Kaname, who quickly moved to the side as Ichigo then unceremoniously threw himself out the window, a nearby tree breaking his fall.
"You okay strawberry?" asked Kaname as a low level grunt confirmed his vitality and survival. Ichigos' sister, Yuzu, quickly went outside to see what was going on. "Ichigo!" shouted Yuzuas she dashed over with Karin in town. "Damn, what got you?" asked Karin in a snarky tone. Ichigo, who was now sitting upright, pointed towards his window which Kaname was hanging out of.
Kaname waved high to the two children as he jumped down from the window. "Hello squirts" said Kaname as Karin seemingly took indignation at his word. However, before she could go over and punch Kaname, she was grabbed by her shirt by Ichigo. "Come on Karin, you won't get anywhere" said Ichigo as he felt her calm down and released his grasp.
"Ichigo, you need to be careful okay. The date is coming up" said Yuzu as Ichigos face immediately became downcast. Karin and Yuzu understood why, but Kanames understanding was little emotion because of his outsider view. He viewed the event as tragic but as a fact that could never be undone as it was ink on the page. It was real life now, and this world was more real than it ever has been. "Goodbye Ichigo" said Kaname as he left so he wouldn't intrude on this personal moment.
As Kaname reached his house, Eve spoke to him. [I guess you already know right?] asked Eve. "Of course, the major events are about to begin, so I may have to expedite the process of attaining strength" said Kaname as he eyed the mystical iron. [Of course, but be careful okay?] asked Eve as Kaname nodded along. "Don't worry, I will" said Kaname as he sat down before the metal and rebegan the process.
He imparted the resentful energy in the hopes of making Yin Iron. He wanted to make his own yin-tiger tally and Subian. "A tiger tally and sword, my arsenal is growing in strange ways" said Kaname as he began expediting the process of growing strong, as the forces of fate began to turn.
